The commentators didn't notice the commotion at Fairy Tail's spectator seats; their eyes were glued to One Night's situation instead.
Jabadi said worriedly, "Looks like Mr. One Night is surrounded. What do we do now?"
Yajima said, "What's worse, besides him, Blue Pegasus has already been completely wiped out. There's no one left to support him."
"Ah! Someone seems to be heading this way!" Pumpkin Man pointed at one of the screens and shouted, "It's Fairy Tail B Team!"
The ones coming weren't Rhode and Laxus, but the trio of Gajeel, Jubia, and Wendy.
While everyone else was busy, the three of them hadn't been idle either. First, Wendy had a sudden craving to hit the candy shop, and that's where she ran into Sherria.
Then Wendy, being all about proper martial ethics, insisted on a one-on-one duel with Sherria.
Gajeel and Jubia felt bad about bullying little girls, so they just stood guard nearby.
And that's when they bumped into Karg and Talent from Rays of the Rising Sun.
The four of them went at it in a fierce brawl. Gajeel, using "itchy hands" as an excuse, refused to let Canyon Vanguard and the Golems join the fight, so he and Jubia had to put in a bit of extra effort before finally taking them down.
By the time they settled things on their end, Wendy had already completely overpowered Sherria—thanks to the training from Rodmilla and the Dragons, Wendy was way stronger than her original-series self at this point.
The trio smoothly secured three points, hopped onto Canyon Vanguard, and continued advancing.
On their way forward, Gajeel heard the sound of One Night fighting Locke and urged Canyon Vanguard to charge over.
Just as they were about to arrive, One Night had finished defeating Locke and was being boxed in by Erza's trio at a T-intersection.
At that moment, Gajeel and the others were right behind the building forming the "horizontal stroke" of that T, separated from One Night by just the first floor.
"Gray-sama! Jubia just heard Gray-sama's voice!" Jubia got all worked up. "As long as Jubia defeats Gray-sama, after the match we can…"
Wendy also reminded him, "Mr. Gajeel, I think I smell Miss Erza's scent, right across from us. What do we do?"
Facing Erza and Gray at the same time didn't really match their battle plan; Wendy was a bit unsure what to do.
"Kihihi~ Do you even need to ask?" Gajeel smacked Canyon Vanguard's back and pointed at the building ahead. "We bust straight through!"
Canyon Vanguard spread its wings and immediately began accelerating.
"Waaah!"
The two in the back almost got flung off; Jubia hurriedly grabbed Gajeel's collar, and Wendy wrapped her arms tightly around Jubia's waist.
Canyon Vanguard didn't slow down just because they screamed. Dragging a purple afterimage, it rammed headfirst into the building in front.
This building was just an ordinary residence; there was no way it could withstand Canyon Vanguard's charge.
With a thunderous boom, almost the entire street of buildings shook violently, new cracks spiderwebbing everywhere.
As for the spot that took the full brunt of the impact, there was no such thing as "cracking"—it just exploded into rubble!
Countless chunks of debris, riding a howling gust, blasted forward as if someone had just cast a massive rock Magic.
Canyon Vanguard, carrying the three of them, broke through the building's obstruction and burst straight onto the battlefield.
Hearing the explosion behind him, One Night hurriedly turned around, only to see half a wall flying straight at his face.
"What Magic is this?! Is Jura here too?" His thick arms crossed in front of his head, tanking the half-wall head-on and smashing it to pieces.
But his whole body was swallowed by the dust cloud.
One Night forced his eyes open and barely made out a huge purple something. The next second, he felt an absurdly strong impact, and his feet seemed to leave the ground.
"MEN!!!"
Dragging out the "n" forever, One Night flew over the sky above Erza and was launched into the distance.
Because Erza was facing the direction Canyon Vanguard was coming from, most of the debris flew straight at her, mixed with all kinds of random furniture.
"This is… Rhode's Summoned Beast?" Erza swung her twin swords, slicing down every piece of junk flying at her, eyes locked on the massive silhouette in the dust.
Kana and Gray were on either side and were hit less. One dodged casually while tossing out a few Cards; the other formed an Ice Shield and blocked easily.
"Cough, cough, cough…" A coughing fit came from the dust; all three riders on Canyon Vanguard's back were choked.
The grander the entrance, the more miserable they looked now.
Fortunately, Wendy used Wind Magic and blew all the dust away.
The audience had originally thought Mr. One Night and Erza's group would treat them to a spectacular fight, and never expected it to be interrupted like this.
Watching through the big screen, Rhode quickly called out to Laxus, "Change course. Forget Kagura for now—Wendy and the others ran into Erza."
Laxus nodded and turned in another direction together with Rhode.
But after just a few steps, a burly hulk dropped from the sky and slammed into the ground in front of them with a thud.
"Blue Pegasus's… One Night?" Laxus had to squint a bit before recognizing the man in front of him.
One Night really lived up to Blue Pegasus's ace title. Even after taking a direct hit from Canyon Vanguard's charge, flying that far, and punching such a huge crater in the ground, he could still get back up.
He even twisted his torso, bent his arms, clasped his fists at his waist in a bodybuilding pose, and calmly said, "So it's Mr. Rhode and Mr. Laxus, I—"
"Sorry, Mr. One Night, we're in a hurry!"
Rhode and Laxus rushed him together.
Rhode's right fist slammed into One Night's abdomen, making his eyes bulge as he almost spat blood, the pain forcing him to double over.
Laxus, on the other side, brought his left elbow down on the back of One Night's head, hammering him straight to the ground.
The two didn't pause for even a moment, maintaining their speed as they sprinted toward their teammates.
"Mr. One Night has been taken down! Blue Pegasus has been completely wiped out!" Jabadi shouted. "Natsu and Lucy have also defeated Rogue!
"Right now, aside from the two Fairy Tail teams, only Kagura, Leon, and Stinger remain on the field!"
"Hmm…" Yajima sighed. "Looks like Leon's luck really isn't too good today."
In this match, Leon had taken down a total of six Ghosts, two Stone Beetles, three Shadow Wolves, and four small Golems.
Four fights, big and small, and he hadn't lost a single one.
But the result of spending so much Magic Power was that he didn't get a single point.
You don't get points for beating Summoned Beasts!
Everyone else ran into at least one or two people; he was the only one who walked around forever and met nothing but mobs. His luck had crashed straight through the floor.
And things were about to get even worse, because just as he sat down by the roadside, planning to rest a bit and recover some Magic Power, Kagura walked out from around the corner.
"Seriously…" Leon showed a helpless expression, but could only stand up and face her.
At least he'd finally run into a living person.
Kagura immediately gripped her sword hilt and took a battle stance, but then her expression turned to shock as she looked past him.
Leon turned around in confusion and saw Stinger walking out from the other side.
"A three-way brawl, huh?" Leon grinned. Even in his current state, there might be an opening to exploit.
Stinger looked stunned for a moment, then turned around and bolted.
Leon: "…"
