Tanis's husband is named Symak, a member of the Genetic Council, holding a high position. Their son, named Agon, would become the Speaker of the Genetic Council.
Agon also married a woman who worked at the infant nurturing center, and their son is Blackcard Bertgang, known as the Black Bat King.
In other words, Tanis is actually the grandmother of the Black Bat King.
The first thought Su Ming had was realizing the high status of his own lineage.
The second thought was that the timelines didn't quite match up; they were off by a few years. If it were comic history, Agon should have been born around 1900, while in the MCU version, it should be around 1960.
The timeline of the 40K Universe is stuck right in between the two, interesting.
But that's not important now; having confirmed her identity, investing in her is relatively low-risk. During this trip to Atlan, Su Ming was going to side with the future Royal Family.
Even though the Black Bat King always maintained a neutral attitude, he had a nice characteristic—respecting the elders.
Even after abolishing slavery and the caste system, changing Atlan to a monarchy, he still elevated those former council members to the Elder positions, and would always consult them on matters.
The Black Bat King isn't considered smart; the Illuminati added him and Namor only because they couldn't gather enough people, but Su Ming knew the Black Bat King was an expert in mobile warfare.
He became the Speaker at 17, changed to monarchy at 25, and abdicated for the first time at 29. In just over a decade, Atlan changed its location seven times, from Earth to space, even entering Imaginary Space, which is another dimension.
What does this indicate? It indicates that at his core, he is a pacifist. When someone bothers him, his first choice is to evade.
A child's character is influenced by family; without guidance, he couldn't have grown that way.
Neutral and evasive stance, Su Ming liked people like this.
The worst-case scenario is that the fake Colonel is on their side, and Su Ming would have to use some covert tactics.
But judging by their character, the whole family isn't good at intrigue; otherwise, why would an Invisibility Ability User come here to take care of a child?
The black-and-yellow mask retreated from his face, and he put away his weapon with a warm smile:
"Alright, I apologize for using this method and scaring you. In fact, I just needed the necessary information. The more information I get, the safer you and your child are."
"???"
Tanis didn't know what to say for a moment, just looking at him with bewilderment.
Moments ago, there was a blade on her neck, and now he was smiling like a spring breeze—it was eerie.
Su Ming helped her up and led her to a corner farther from the door because Hel almost threw half a corpse through the hole in the door earlier.
"I'm an ordinary human; people call me Deathstroke."
Just then, a Shape-shifting Ability User slithered in through the hole in the door, with his whole body elongating like a snake, entering with a sinister laugh.
However, he didn't see an expected helpless mother and child but rather a person clad entirely in heavy armor.
"@#@%!@#"
A string of words that Su Ming couldn't understand came out of his mouth, but Su Ming could read his expression clearly because it was too familiar—that expression called madness.
For madmen, Su Ming didn't indulge their bad habits; he directly let the Strangulation bind the serpent-like man and pulled hard.
With a miserable scream, long strips of blood marks were scraped out of the slender body, and the two legs thrashed like tails, sending various objects flying chaotically in the air.
Strangulation grabbed his head, Su Ming grabbed his legs, and after a maneuver akin to a cat's cradle, the Inhuman was folded over and over.
How many times he folded, Su Ming wasn't sure, but in the end, he used brute force to ball him up and stomped him down on the ground with one foot...
The world suddenly became quiet.
Strangulation conveyed a feeling of joy; even Su Ming couldn't help but smile slightly. It had been a long time since he played football.
However, Tanis, with blood spattered on her face, clearly had different thoughts; she wanted to scream and vomit but held back, clutching her child.
"Alright, the person interrupting the conversation has been dealt with. Do you have any other questions you want to ask?" Strangulation absorbed the bloodstains on the armor, and the black-and-yellow battle armor was once again shiny and new: "In my view, just knowing to follow me is enough for I can guarantee your absolute safety. After all, the more ruthless I am to the enemy, the better it is for you."
"I...." Tanis opened her mouth, then looked at the child, not saying anything.
"For your child, you'd better calm down and think carefully. Your genes are excellent, not prone to panic." Su Ming casually swatted Strangulation, who intended to steal a bite. The meatball on the ground was already stepped on—how dirty.
Tanis took a deep breath and slowly exhaled, repeating this several times until she gradually calmed down.
Perhaps because the screams outside the door were getting fewer, she could hear Hel's laughter; laughter always makes people relax, doesn't it?
Upon calming down, her linguistic ability improved, and she could now communicate more fluently with Su Ming.
She asked the critical question: "How can I trust you?"
"The people or titles that can prove my reliability, you probably don't know, but this meatball in front of you should give you peace of mind, right? If this were the East, it's called a Tōngmíngzhuàng." Su Ming smiled, gesturing for her to look at the corpse before her.
Not only did he eliminate the threat to them, but he also managed to step on an irregular lump of human flesh and form it into a perfect round meatball—likely, only Deathstroke could do that.
It showed both his attitude and his prowess.
Tanis thought for a moment, stroked the child's hair, then looked outside the dark doorway.
"I understand what you mean, but actually, I have no other choice and can only trust you."
Su Ming stretched his neck, kicked the meatball away, placed a stack of papers on the ground, and began to write with blood-dipped fingers: "A wise choice, now let's talk about the contract details."

So when Hel finished dealing with everyone outside, she simply removed the door to the room and saw Deathstroke smiling like Loki, explaining point by point to that female Inhuman.
For some reason, Hel found something off about that smile.
Su Ming didn't think so because on Earth, this smile was known as a business smile; if he had to mimic it, he could smile like Steve in a toothpaste commercial.
"Killed them all, they were no match."
Hel gently brushed her skirt, but no dust actually clung to it.
This was expected by Su Ming since without knowing Hel's weaknesses, she was a downright super-strong entity; no room for doubt there. It should be understood that Fenrir, destined to kill Odin, was raised by her as if it were a Husky.
"Without me saying, you know what to do after killing, right?" Su Ming placed the 'Blood Book' in Tanis's arms as a sign that if she considered things enough, she could sign it. He stopped smiling and looked into Hel's eyes.
Hel found a chair to sit on, as comfortably as if on her own throne. In fact, in a place filled with the aura of death, she felt extremely at ease.
"I did indeed do as you wanted, and I gathered some interesting information from these people's minds. Want to hear it?"
