"Is this what you came up with?" George raised an eyebrow.
"Convenient, isn't it?" Kael smiled and said, "Although the owl's speed isn't particularly fast, they won't be traced by the Ministry of Magic. It's smooth sailing. Without illegal Portkeys, there's no better way."
Kael said cheerfully.
All you need is a box and an Undetectable Extension Charm envelope for safe, fast, and convenient travel. If Newt had thought of this earlier, he might not have needed to buy illegal Portkeys everywhere.
"How did you manage to fit yourself into the envelope?" Percy asked curiously.
"It's simple; just let the owls give you a push. They're quite smart and can totally handle it."
Kael lightly pushed a tray on the table. Although it was much larger than the envelope, due to the Undetectable Extension Charm, it was easily fitted inside when it touched the envelope.
"What about the sealing process?"
"Can be done from the inside."
Percy smacked his lips, muttering to himself, "Didn't think the Undetectable Extension Charm could be used like this. It's a loophole that might let some ill-intentioned people exploit it."
"Of course, I'm not talking about you." He seemed to remember something and hastily looked at Kael to explain.
"It's okay," Kael waved his hand, not minding.
"Actually, accomplishing this isn't that easy," Bill pondered and said, "Using an Undetectable Extension Charm on a fragile envelope, not many wizards would be able to do it... Besides, you'd need a large enough box to hold them in the envelope for an adequate amount of time."
"Let's not talk about this for now." George stared at Kael, "Why did you suddenly go to Austria?"
Yes...
This reminder made everyone else realize and they all looked at Kael.
"This question... I might be able to explain it to you in a few days." Kael said.
"Can't you tell us now?" Fred was still relentless, "I'm really curious. If I don't find out, I might not be able to sleep tonight..."
"Fred, if you feel too idle, go help your dad with some work!" Mrs. Weasley's voice came from behind, handing Kael a big bowl of stew and smiling, "Darling, would you like some toasted bread?"
"Thank you..." Kael said, "Oh, I almost forgot, I also brought gifts for you all."
He took out a bunch of things from the box... multi-patterned robes, Muggle-made accordion, screaming harmonica, Re'em horn glasses, local wine... a variety of things filled the table, all of which Kael bought while looking for the Owl Post Office, things unique to Austria.
"That's too extravagant," Mrs. Weasley said, but she instantly took a liking to the set of uniquely styled robes, including Charlie who was ogling the wine.
"Not at all, these things are pretty cheap locally," Kael said, taking a big bite of stew and smiling, "It's just that the shipping is pricey; people don't want to send things to the United Kingdom now..."
"It's inevitable, all blame the Death Eaters..." Charlie said.
The originally lively atmosphere suddenly became much more subdued.
"Hmm... Do they have any current movements?" Kael asked.
"No," Mrs. Weasley shook her head, "That's what we're most worried about. According to Arthur, many evidences show they are trying to recruit more Death Eaters, but on the surface, they haven't done anything, even if occasionally there are small-scale conflicts, I'm worried if they're planning a larger scheme.
"So many Death Eaters, if they launch an attack together, how would we cope..."
"Don't worry, Mrs. Weasley, maybe we're just overthinking it." Kael comforted her, "Currently, we're evenly matched. Not everyone will join You-Know-Who. The Ministry of Magic is also expanding the Aurors and Beaters. If we really compete in numbers, we might not lose to the Death Eaters."
"Yeah, mom, don't worry."
"We still have the advantage."
Bill and Charlie also comforted her.
Mrs. Weasley finally forced a smile and gave everyone two more sausages.
Especially Kael, who hadn't eaten properly all day; the items in front of him were noticeably more than others, even Mr. Weasley's reserved dinner ended up on his plate.
After dinner, Kael left the Shabby Residence, leaning against the wall, and returned to his own home.
Though he had slept a bit in the box earlier, in that situation, he couldn't fully relax, it was more like resting his eyes.
Finally back home now, the exhaustion from being chased all night by Vinda Rosier and others came rushing out, he didn't even change clothes but fell straight onto the bed and fell asleep.
The next day, Kael was pecked awake.
Irritated, he waved his hands to shoo away the owl beside his pillow.
"Don't fuss, Ladon... Food's in the cupboard, you know where it is."
But the owl Ladon still stubbornly pecked at the back of his hand, at the same time extending a claw to smack an envelope on Kael's face.
Kael finally woke up. He rubbed his eyes, casually tore open the envelope, and took out the parchment inside...
Suddenly, Kael jumped up from the bed.
"Urgently come to Hogwarts, You-Know-Who has appeared to attack Gringotts, the Minister of Magic Amelia Bones insists on meeting Dumbledore.
...Minerva McGonagall."
"Why at this time." Kael frowned and instinctively reached out to grab the Polyjuice Potion he prepared in advance.
