Chapter 1181 - Chapter 830: An Unconventional Way to Travel

Evening, Ministry of Magic in the United Kingdom.

Fred and George had just finished a day's work, dragging their weary bodies and silently cursing Kael, taking the elevator to the lobby, ready to return to Ottery St Catchpole.

"Mr. Weasleys..." a slow voice came, causing them to subconsciously turn their heads.

"Bob, is something up?" Fred asked, "Do you have something interesting to share with us?"

"We're all ears." George said.

This was Bob, the receptionist in the Ministry lobby, responsible for guiding wizards who came to the Ministry for the first time to where they needed to go. Because of his work, he often got first-hand news, so they always kept a friendly relationship with him.

"Where's anything interesting lately, I'm so bored I'm thinking of changing jobs." Bob sighed.

"How about joining the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures?" Fred's eyes lit up and he immediately said, "We have connections, we can ensure you transfer smoothly."

"Indeed." George said, "The salary here is quite a bit higher than that of a receptionist."

"Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures?" Bob seemed to think of something and shivered, "Better not, I suddenly think being a bit bored isn't bad, at least I have time to do things I enjoy, not like you guys, busy every day... well, it's better not to talk about things that make people unhappy."

Bob changed the subject, "Here's a letter for you."

He took out a bulging envelope and placed it on the table.

"A foreign cat owl delivered it, and since you weren't here, I accepted it for you."

"Our letter..."

"And from a foreign cat owl?"

Fred paused for a moment, "From where... who sent it."

"Austria." Bob said, "The sender is Kael, to be honest, I'd like to visit Austria myself, I hear in their Diagon Alley you can hear all sorts of music."

Bob talked happily, but Fred and George were completely puzzled.

Kael sent them a letter from Austria?

How was this possible.

He was clearly home yesterday, how could he suddenly and silently run off to Austria and send them a letter.

Although skeptical, under Bob's urging, Fred and George still went over and took the letter in hand.

They initially thought this was just a prank, wanting to trick them into opening the envelope, perhaps just for a surprise jack-in-the-box or something else.

Until they saw the signature on the envelope.

It was indeed Kael's name, and his handwriting too.

They were even more at a loss.

"Kael... really went to Austria?" Fred asked.

"Let's go back and see." George said, "Check at Kael's place, if he's there, then the person who sent this letter has other intentions."

"You're right."

They immediately bid Bob goodbye and hurried back to Ottery St Catchpole.

They first went to Kael's house, knocking on the door for ages, but there was no movement inside, only the impatient screeches of a Kneazle, seemingly telling them to quiet down.

"Did he really go to Austria?"

"Possibly, now that I think about it, there are markings on the envelope that only we would know, so it's unlikely to be fake."

"Let's go back and check."

With that, they returned to the Shabby Residence.

"You're just in time to prepare for dinner." Mrs. Weasley walked out from the kitchen holding a stew pot.

"Hold on, Mom."

Fred placed the envelope on the table.

"What's this?" Mrs. Weasley asked.

"No idea." George said, "Something Kael sent from Austria."

"Kael..." Mrs. Weasley also paused, "Isn't he home?"

"We just went to check, he wasn't there." George said as he picked up the envelope.

The letter was magically sealed, needing a password to open, but that clearly didn't trouble him.

"Speaking of the password..." George smirked, "Fred, what did you think of first."

"Is that even a question?" Fred also smiled, "Of course it's the one we're most familiar with."

"Indeed, reminiscing..." George sighed, "We seem to not have used it for quite a while."

"And didn't need to..."

"What are you two on about?" Charlie was confused, urging, "Since you know the password, hurry up and open the letter."

The twins ignored him, just looking at each other.

"Together?"

"No problem."

They simultaneously pulled out their wands, touched them to the envelope.

"I solemnly swear that I am up to no good."

"I solemnly swear that I am up to no good."

The seal flashed and automatically opened.

Everyone curiously crowded in to see what was inside.

No parchment, only a box shrunk several times...

Or rather, the envelope had been enchanted with the Undetectable Extension Charm, just looking small, as once the box was taken out, it immediately returned to its original size.

"This is Kael's box." Fred blurted, "How did it end up here..."

Before he could finish speaking, the lock on the box automatically popped open.

Then, amidst the bewildered expressions of everyone, Kael pushed open the box and jumped out from inside.

"Finally, took long enough." He stretched, looking around, "Oh, Mrs. Weasley, Charlie, Bill... why do you all have these expressions."

"Perhaps first explain why you're here." Fred looked at Kael, then at the envelope, "What exactly is going on?"

"As you can see, I found myself a free ride." Kael shrugged, "It's a bit complicated to explain, simply put, someone sent me to Austria but didn't cover getting me back, so I had to figure it out myself."
