Chapter 926 - Chapter 899: Damage = Reptile

"Magic Card 'Forced Transfer'!"

Instructor Napoleon activates the Magic Card in his hand.

"Forced Transfer, select one monster on your field, then the opponent must also select one monster on their field, and exchange control of the monsters mutually, De Aru!"

This card has been often used by Yugen in the past, so he is naturally familiar with it. He nodded and said, "However, in a melee mode, since the 'opponent's camp' in one's own view is not limited to one, the relevant effects need to be specified by the sender for the applicable 'opponent's camp'."

"I know," Napoleon said in a deep voice, "I want to choose the target for the 'Forced Transfer' as Instructor Chronos!

I'll exchange my 'Toy Soldiers' revived to the field by Call of Steel!"

Yugen still has two Alien Insects on his field, even if specified, Yugen's Alien Insect Victory, although seemingly strong with twelve thousand Attack Power, is currently bound by Gulliver's Chain and cannot switch to attack mode, thus not very useful. Furthermore, Alien Insect Victory's Attack Power relies on having numerous Alien Insects in the graveyard, and Napoleon's graveyard doesn't contain any Alien Insects, so even if control is gained, it's just a 0 attack weakling.

On Chronos' side, there's only one monster on the field as well, so he hesitated not.

"Then I'll exchange 'Ancient Mechanical Ultimate Giant' and 'Toy Soldiers'!"

Everyone felt a slight stir in their hearts upon hearing this.

Instructor Chronos actually exchanged his Ultimate Giant for Napoleon's little monster with 800 Attack Power... Not only that, but the Mechanical Race summoned by Call of Steel originally has its effects negated and will be automatically destroyed at the end of the turn.

So in other words, Chronos basically offered up his monster for Napoleon to reap the benefits, free of charge. If Napoleon doesn't manage to finish it this turn, Chronos would face Yugen's turn with an empty field.

In that case, Chronos might be defeated and exit before Napoleon.

"These two can actually collaborate to such an extent, huh..." Bladehill murmured, "Really hard to imagine."

Mitsuzawa: "Indeed, it shows that people can only come together against a sufficiently strong common external enemy."

"Ancient Mechanical Ultimate Giant, attack 'Alien Insect Victory'!" Napoleon shouted.

Alien Insect Victory may have a high attack power of over ten thousand, but its Defense Power doesn't increase with the number of Alien Insects in the graveyard.

[Alien Insect Victory, Defense Power 2500]

"The Ultimate Giant inherits the abilities of the Ancient Mechanical Giant," Chronos explained from the side, "When the Ultimate Giant attacks, the opponent cannot activate any magic or trap cards!

And when attacking a defense monster, if the Attack Power exceeds the Defense Power, it must inflict piercing damage!"

The Ultimate Giant punches out, the high-speed fist shadow entwined with electric snakes, pummeling like an electromagnetic cannon!

Chronos and Instructor Napoleon spoke in unison: "Ultimate Ancient Mechanical Heavy Fist!!!"

It truly seemed as if the power of both was fused into this one punch from the Ultimate Giant, a punch carried forth with relentless momentum and a vast electromagnetic tempest!

Alien Insect Victory's sturdy carapace shattered under the punch, the electromagnetic storm surged inside, exploding from the inside out, instantly pulverizing the monstrous insect.

[Yugen, LP3600 → LP1700]

"Succeeded!"

The two professors almost burst into tears of joy, the complex looks in their eyes as they looked at each other.

Even they themselves hadn't anticipated a day like this, where such lifelong adversaries would find common ground.

The seemingly unbeatable Alien Insect Victory, boasting attack power of over ten thousand, had finally fallen. This accomplishment was the result of their combined strengths, achievable only through their unity—neither could accomplish this alone.

"Don't rush, professors; the battle isn't over yet."

Yugen smiled.

"Continuous Trap 'Damage = Reptile'!"

The two professors were caught off guard.

"Wait," Instructor Napoleon said, "When Ancient Mechanical Ultimate Giant is attacking, trap cards cannot be activated..."

"I know," Yugen said, "but the Ancient Mechanical Giant's effect is, 'No magic or trap cards can be activated until the damage step is over.'

However, my card 'Damage = Reptile' is a trap that cannot be activated during the damage phase. This card is a continuous trap, which I have already activated before the attack declaration. Nevertheless, the effect of this card will trigger when battle damage occurs."

The professors exchanged glances, their previous excitement transforming back into worry.

A kind of foreboding feeling that the victory seemingly close at hand might slip away.

"Once per turn, when a Reptile Race monster battles and you take battle damage, it can be activated," Yugen said, "Special Summon a Reptile Race monster from the deck whose attack power is less than the inflicted damage."

Chronos: "The battle just inflicted 1900 battle damage."

Napoleon: "The Reptile with less than 1900 attack power can't match my Toy Emperor, De Aru!"

"That's not necessarily the case."

Yugen smiled adding a touch of flair, causing the professors' hearts to tighten.

"Then, for Reptile Race with attack power below 1900, I shall summon this one——"

Yugen's deck automatically searched, as a dark current flew out from his deck, dominantly landing on the field, gathering to form an image of an upright poisonous snake.

The dark aura churned, forming a blood-red cloak behind the massive entity. Numerous flying snakeheads were its ten fingers, and the scarlet eyes gleamed as if craving blood.

"Poisonous Snake King Vinomirion, summon!"

The entire field was filled with awe.

The two professors' eyes widened, filled with shock——

——This thing below 1900 Attack Power!?

[Poisonous Snake King Vinomirion, Attack Power 0]

"Poisonous Snake King Vinomirion cannot be Special Summoned by the effect of other Effect Monsters." Yugen smiled, "Well, it's limited to 'Monster Effects' only.

'Damage = Reptile' is a trap effect, and there's no summoning restriction due to a trap, so it can be summoned."

The professors immediately realized.

The attack power of the Poisonous Snake King is 0, so as long as paired with the effect of 'Damage = Reptile', any battle damage received—which could be from even a small blood scratch—allows it to fly out from the deck.

Moreover, 'Damage = Reptile' is a continuous trap, as long as it remains on the field, it remains effective. In other words, the base attack power of the previous Alien Insect Victory, which is also only 0, meets the conditions.

The professors' expressions instantly turned pale upon this thought.

That is to say, as long as Yugen receives a hint of damage, he can immediately summon a new mighty creature with ten thousand attack power from the deck?
