"My turn, draw a card!
First, activate the Magic Card 'Angel's Charity'; draw three cards from the deck, then discard two cards from your hand."
Rockson added the drawn cards to his hand, then immediately showcased another card.
"Summon 'Snowstorm Dragon'!"
The snowstorm raged, as snowflakes transformed into sharp icy blades. The world seemed enveloped in a chaotic silver-white frenzy, as two crimson eyes shone brightly from within the storm, and the ice dragon commanding wind and frost spread its wings.
[Snowstorm Dragon, Attack Power 1800]
Snowstorm Dragon is the earliest Water Attribute Dragon-type monster in Yu-Gi-Oh! history. At that time, its participation in the environment directly increased the practicality of the "Ice and Flame Dual Dragons," which needs to banish Water and Fire Attribute monsters from the graveyard for summoning.
By choosing the Five Emperors Dragon through Future Fusion, Snowstorm Dragon can be directly tossed from the deck as the summon cost for Ice and Flame Dual Dragons. However, before this card appeared, there were no Water Attribute Dragon-types in the entire card pool, so this combination had never been established.
Additionally, as a Four-Star hitter, Snowstorm Dragon itself has 1800 attack power. Its effect allows it to lock one monster on the opponent's field once per turn, preventing it from changing form or declaring an attack until the end of the next opponent's turn. In an environment where speed hasn't yet inflated to a certain extent, its single card quality is actually quite excellent.
"Snowstorm Dragon attacks the face-down covered monster!"
The icy dragon opened its mouth, and a frosty breath surged out. The covered monster flipped over, revealing a tiny flying squirrel that hurriedly shielded its head under the frosty breath.
The frost swept through, and the little squirrel was frozen into an ice sculpture, shattering into pieces.
[Swift Flying Squirrel, Defense Power 100]
"Swift Flying Squirrel's effect," Yugen said, "When this card is sent to the graveyard by battle destruction, you restore 1000 Life Points, and specially summon two 'Swift Flying Squirrels' from the deck."
[Yugen, LP 4000 → LP 5000]
The duel disc automatically executed a search, ejecting two cards from the deck, which Yugen drew into his hand.
He briefly displayed the two Swift Flying Squirrels, then slapped them onto the duel disc on the left and right.
"The other two 'Swift Flying Squirrels' are set in face-down Defense Position coverage."
Rockson sneered, "Using such troublesome monsters."
He squinted his eyes and swept his gaze over the cards in his hand again. After pondering, he drew two cards from his hand.
"Then set two cards, turn ends."
"My turn, draw a card."
Yugen calmly added the drawn card to his hand, then slowly drew another card with his hand.
Rockson didn't know if it was a mirage, but when the other person drew that card, his heart suddenly tightened inexplicably, and his gaze unconsciously fixated on the card the opponent casually drew.
"Let's give your new strength a little test."
Yugen said softly.
"I offer the two face-down covered 'Swift Flying Squirrels' as tributes for an upper-level summon!
The sixth planet in the solar system, Great Saturn from the Planet Series!!!"
Rockson's pupils contracted.
Saturn...?!
The sky seemed engulfed by peculiar brilliance, and the background suddenly morphed into a starry sky. The sun hung high amidst the boundless sea of stars, radiating endless light and heat.
Then a planet orbiting it abruptly veered off course, seemingly burning as it plunged downward, illuminating the earth brightly like daylight. Accompanying a roar, it crashed down like a meteor, creating a massive crater.
Subsequently, the silver globe began transforming.
First, a gigantic palm emerged, pressing against the crater edge. The giant metallic body slowly stood upright, surrounded by black smoke. The machine was entirely covered with solid, smooth metal armor, with every piece reflecting dazzling light, as if forged by stars.
Great Saturn, descended!
"Planet Series... you actually have the Planet Series!?"
Rockson's expression altered.
Legend has it that each card is unique in the world, containing immensely powerful strength, although each is scattered globally with most being whereabouts unknown.
Furthermore, it's rumored that anyone who completes the collection of the Planet Series will possess unbeatable strength in the current generation; although no one has ever achieved this before or even knows where each card is, so these are regarded merely as tales within the Dueling Realm.
As of now, besides Mr. Momiji's Elemental Hero Earthman, Yugen has collected eight out of nine of the Planet Series, already accomplishing the legendary feat that had never been done before.
Of course, Yugen couldn't claim credit for this; it was largely thanks to Brother Lobster.
After all, the dirty and tiresome work was primarily done by Tragodia. He was the one traveling worldwide and discovering the whereabouts of each Planet Series card. He employed various tactics and invested time and effort in collecting them all in one place, packaging them all for Yugen.
In comparison, Yugen's role was merely to sign for the delivery.
Truly a heartfelt thanks to Brother Lobster. Without his intervention, there would be few people in the world able to accomplish such a substantial collection project.
"Great Saturn attacks 'Snowstorm Dragon'.
"At the command, Great Saturn's heavy punch already launched. Its heavy steel body stepped down with such force that the ground seemed to sink, and the heavy punch's shadow swiftly pressed forward like Mount Tai.
However, Rockson was not the least bit afraid, "Activate the Trap 'Universal Landmine - Broadsword Style'!
During the opponent's attack declaration, destroy the opponent's monster in Attack Position with the highest attack power."
He squinted and spoke in a deep voice.
"Though I don't know what Great Saturn is capable of, let the planet exit the stage here."
Boom!
Saturn stepped on the landmine, fire erupted from underground, instantly engulfing its shell. Saturn's body exploded as a result.
Yet strangely, the Great Saturn's body shattered, but the energy unleashed showed no signs of stopping. That energy transformed into a fireball, rapidly expanding in the field, and with great momentum swept toward both players simultaneously.
"Nani?" Rockson's expression shifted slightly.
"Great Saturn's effect. When this card is sent to the graveyard by the opponent's card effect, both players receive damage equal to Great Saturn's attack power."
Yugen smiled slightly.
"Therefore, both of us will simultaneously receive damage from Great Saturn, 2800 points."
"Is this monster a walking powder keg?"
What human destruction wheel?
Rockson was secretly shocked, but also remained calm.
"Then activate the Counterattack Trap 'Damage Polarizing Shield'."
The backfield trap flipped over, forming a shield across the field. Saturn's exploding fireball was rapidly repelled by the energy barrier of the polarizing shield and did not touch either player.
"Damage Polarizing Shield can be activated during the activation of effects that deal effect damage," Rockson explained. "It nullifies both the activation and effect, allowing both players to draw a card from their deck."
"You've got some skill, actually defended against Saturn."
Yugen drew a card, chuckled.
"Then I'll proceed with this card—
—Magic Card 'Resurrection of the Dead,' capable of reviving the monster destroyed this turn."
(Original card effect)
He raised his arm high, and it seemed as if the ground started trembling with his motion.
"Revive Great Saturn!"
