A year ago, Mewtwo was aimlessly traveling the world with the Cloned Pokemon.
During one of their stops to rest, they saw a remote house out in the wilderness.
The house's owner was a middle-aged robust man with a menacing face, covered with a beard.
He used a Houndoom to capture many wild Pokemon, forcing them to work for him.
Since Skiddo was a male Pokemon and couldn't produce milk like a female goat, its job was to help the man pull heavy loads and carry stones.
During that time, the man always sat behind, accompanied by Houndoom, holding a bramble-covered whip to supervise the Pokemon at work.
The Pokemon he forcibly captured were toiling away in agony.
Whenever Skiddo got too tired and wanted to rest, the man would whip it from behind, forcing it to get up and continue working.
In the end, Skiddo was left battered and bruised.
It was at that time that Mewtwo passed by that place.
Finding the Pokemon tormented by the human, Mewtwo, who was kind-hearted, could not stand to see such things happen.
Thus, Mewtwo intervened and saved Skiddo and the other Pokemon, giving the man a lesson and erasing his memory.
From then on, Skiddo joined Mewtwo's team, and Mewtwo willingly took on the responsibility of protecting them.
Because of this, Skiddo became extremely fearful of humans and so very cautious.
On the journey to the World Tree, Naoki narrated word by word Skiddo's past encounters to his three Gogoat at home.
"...So, today's mission is to visit that poor Skiddo at the World Tree and play with it, understood?"
As Naoki spoke, he adjusted the position of the box of Grassy Seed he was holding.
These were freshly steamed Grassy Seed made by him, ready to be taken to the World Tree and given to Skiddo to eat.
The Gogoat had never experienced anything like that.
Since their birth, they had been inhabiting the grassy area around Casseroya Lake.

On the ranch, they received the best care, with an endless supply of Grassy Seed and a shelter to protect them from the wind and rain.
The Gogoat often felt they were the happiest Gogoat in the world.
