"It's useless! It's useless! Embrace the void, Prince! All your efforts will ultimately become a part of me!" Countless voices mocked from all directions, with every cell of the evil god seemingly mocking. Just as Ian Prince was momentarily exhausted from continuously casting Super Tier Magic.
A tentacle hidden in the shadows suddenly launched an attack. The surface of the tentacle was covered with eyes that continuously opened and closed, its tip sharpened to a needle-point, rushing at Ian's ankle faster than the eye could see.
"Damn it!"
Ian's Magic Protection activated automatically, seven-colored light circulated on his body surface. But the eyes on the tentacle blinked simultaneously, emitting a wave that cracked the magic — an ability the evil god gained after absorbing countless wizards. The protective shield shattered like glass, and the tentacle touched Ian Prince's skin directly.
"Ah!!!"
Ian Prince let out a heartrending scream. It wasn't ordinary physical harm but conceptual corrosion — from the ankle to the knee, his left leg instantly carbonized, every cell in it dying in an instant, the pain unable to be fully transmitted. More terrifyingly, that carbonization continued to spread upwards.
Carrying some malevolent intent wanting to devour the entire body.
"I won't die in a place like this." In a life-or-death moment, the Legendary Wizard showed astonishing decisiveness. Ian Prince unhesitatingly pointed his wand at the root of his thigh.
A sharp light flashed, the entire left leg severed at the root, blood gushed out like a waterfall. He staggered back, his face pale as paper from the pain and blood loss but still managed to cast the Blood Stopping Spell in time.
"Ultimate Healing!"
White light enveloped the wound, the bleeding stopped where the limb was severed, muscle tissue quickly healed into a smooth surface.
But the lost limb couldn't immediately regenerate — the evil corrosive energy prevented any form of Regeneration Magic.
"Hm, this is indeed new knowledge, I might as well call you teacher."
All of the evil god's avatars re-merged at that moment, slowly approaching the severely injured wizard. Each of his steps left corrosive prints on the ground.
The air was filled with a sweetly pungent odor of decay.
"Do you know?"
Set-Apep's voice suddenly became extraordinarily calm, a calm more terrifying than its previous madness, "I originally loathed my current form. As a newborn god, I yearned for perfection, symmetry, the beauty understood by lesser beings, which is the beauty you wanted to instill in me."
He displayed his continuously writhing body, those protruding human faces, those constantly changing limb forms. "But you've made me understand, Prince, this is true perfection — encompassing all possibilities, adapting to every environment. Ugly and beautiful, symmetry and distortion, these lesser binary oppositions are meaningless to me."
"You all are just lesser beings, what gives you the right to define beauty and ugliness?" The evil god's logic was a closed loop, Ian Prince leaned back against half of a stone column, his breath rapid. His magic power was about to be exhausted, his body grievously injured, all his trump cards spent. It seemed even the most Legendary Wizard of Hogwarts felt unprecedented powerlessness against such an incomprehensible existence. Of course, that might merely be what it appeared like.
The evil god did not detect anything unusual.
"Thank you, Ian Prince."
The evil god's compound eyes glinted with eerie light, the blinking frequency of those eyes suddenly became synchronized as if playing some ancient rhythm.
"Now, I have perfected all flaws. I no longer resist any form, no longer deny any possibility — I am everything, and eventually, everything will be me."
"I will become the world's only god, infinitely close to the Creator who perhaps never existed." The evil god's knowledge all came from the wizards' provision.
Because of this.
The evil god was evidently skeptical of the existence of the Creator, like most wizards. He extended an arm that turned petal-like, gently brushing Ian Prince's cheek. The touch was both cold and scorching, carrying energy that desecrated life. The place touched by the evil god immediately began to crystallize.
Ian's skin transformed into transparent crystalline structures, quickly spreading.
"As a gift, I will consume you last." Countless voices whispered gently, that gentleness more creepy than any threat, "Let you witness the birth of a new world. You will see how your kind rejoices in merging into the whole, how they escape the constraints of individuality to become part of eternity."
"In the end, I believe you will gladly join me."
The evil god was utterly confident.
Ian Prince wanted to resist, but crystallization had spread to his neck, he couldn't even speak.
He could only watch helplessly as the evil god turned to face those people still kneeling, unfurling a terrifying body that obscured the sky.
"Awaken, my people." The evil god's voice was filled with twisted love, a love that made one nauseous, "Open your obscured eyes, see your true destiny. Welcome the eternal unity, free from the pain and loneliness of individuality."
The people looked up blankly, and upon seeing the evil god's true form, their reactions varied — half went mad directly, their eyes burst open flowing colorful liquid, emitting screams not resembling human sounds; the other half began to mutate, their bodies growing extra limbs, skin shedding to reveal writhing flesh, yet their faces bore strange happy smiles.
