Chapter 1066 - Chapter 334: Long Time No See, Zeus_2

"Wizard?"

He wiped the bloodstains from his face, eyes squinting under the bronze helmet.

"Foreign mongrel, mind your own business!"

It was obvious, from Ian's completely different appearance than theirs, they could tell Ian was definitely not a Greek nor from any nearby race.

The Spartan warriors had a severe racial bias.

As for this.

Ian didn't mind.

"If it's war, so be it, but civilians are at least innocent." Ian's tone was calm, barely stirred, as he lightly twirled his wrist. The tip of the magic wand burst into a series of golden sparks.

He had come to this era in search of a particular rose. However, it was evident that this wasn't a good time, not sure if it was intentional on the part of the Female Titan Claire.

Ian wanted to cast a spell.

Just then, an arrow whistled past, embedding into the wall by his ear, its shaft vibrating fiercely. Ian crouched swiftly, spotting a Spartan warrior aiming a bow at him from a distance.

"Foreigner!"

The opponent shouted in Ancient Greek.

"Kneel down!"

The overbearing tone was quite infuriating.

A flaming arrow whizzed right over his head.

Nearly damaging his most treasured hair.

"Stop!" Ian shouted, his voice not loud, yet carrying a mysterious power that pierced the chaos, reaching everyone's ears distinctly.

This was clearly Ian boosting himself with some magical effect—like the magic used by the headmaster at every Hogwarts opening to amplify their voice.

This magic allowed Ian to transmit his voice into everyone's ears.

A few Spartan soldiers in the midst of hacking enemies hesitated, their movements slowing. But they quickly recovered, one of them glaring at Ian and let out a roar.

"Only a wizard? Haven't we killed one before. Our warning didn't seem to make you understand our mercy, you will die too if you dare to stop us!"

This guy was the one who shot the arrow earlier.

"I am not your enemy." Ian said calmly, without a hint of wavering, "But this massacre is meaningless, both sides are slaughtering civilians."

Upon hearing this.

The Spartans hadn't responded yet.

"What did you say?"

The Greek soldiers were outraged, shouting as they charged forward, swords swinging right at Ian's head—after all, their duty as local soldiers should be to protect citizens.

"Amusing you a bit."

Ian simply raised his right hand lightly.

A ghostly blue light appeared in his palm, then spread out like ripples sweeping across the scene. All the weapons emitted a sharp, screeching "creak".

Immediately afterwards—

"Cluck cluck cluck cluck!"

The next moment, all the weapons of the Spartan soldiers in the port began twisting and reshaping. Bronze swords softened, elongated, and ultimately transformed into brightly colored—squeaky chickens. Yes, all the soldiers' swords, spears, and axes turned into red toy chickens, squeaking humorously when squeezed.

The scene immediately fell silent.

The Spartan soldiers looked at the constantly squeaking toy chickens in their hands, their faces filled with confusion and disbelief. Some attempted to draw new weapons, only to find they had all become these ludicrous items.

"..."

The entire port sank into an eerie silence.

Both sides were dumbfounded, some skeptically squeezing the "weapons", only to be met with a series of "squeak squeak" noises. A burly centurion, enraged, slammed a squeaking chicken onto the ground, which bounced twice and emitted an even more cheerful chirp.

"Pfft."

A Greek child hiding behind a cargo crate couldn't help but burst into laughter.

The tiny laugh seemed to ignite a powder keg. The Spartan warriors, their faces flushing red, temples bulging, tossed down the squeaky chickens and charged barehanded towards Ian, not far away.

"You… you wizard!" A soldier, recognizing Ian's identity, pointed at him, gritting his teeth, "You're not a local wizard! You shouldn't meddle in this!"

"This is a divine war!"

Before the soldiers finished speaking.

Their movements suddenly halted.

Whether Spartan or Greek, all were frozen by the All Petrify spell.

"If you won't listen to reason, then I am somewhat versed in truths."

Ian flicked his wand, looking at the "Spartan statues" posed in various attacking stances on the port, nodding in satisfaction. But before he could breathe a sigh of relief, the ground suddenly quaked violently.

The sunset at Rhodes Port was drenched in blood. The remaining sunlight poured like molten gold over the war-torn harbor, coating shattered shipwrecks, collapsed walls, and scattered corpses in a false glory.

Suddenly, the sky darkened, clouds rolling, as if foretelling an impending storm of fate. Abruptly, a shadow darted from the horizon—it was a massive eagle, its wings outspread, obscuring the heavens, eyes flashing with thunderous golden light. It was the embodiment of Zeus, King of the Olympus gods.

Currently, it was patrolling its world in a silent yet authoritative manner.

The majestic bird soared over the city, observing the bustling yet ignorant crowd below. Finally, it landed on the massive statue of the Sun God in the city's center.

The instant its talons touched the statue, a mysterious and ancient power was suddenly imbued into the inanimate object. The statue's surface began to emit a faint golden glow, like the first light of dawn, illuminating the entire city. Followed by a deep rumbling from beneath the earth, as if the entire island was trembling.
