Chapter 130 - Chapter 129: Urashiki’s Sneak Attack on Gaara

Late at night, on a Lightning Train bound for Konoha Village in the Land of Fire, Gaara sat quietly in his seat, eyes closed in deep meditation.

Suddenly, he opened them—his sharp gaze locking onto a shadowy figure standing before him.

A man in white stood there, silently watching him.

It was Urashiki Ōtsutsuki.

A smirk curved Urashiki's lips, his eyes gleaming like a predator observing trapped prey.

"I clearly set up a barrier," Gaara said coldly, a hint of confusion flashing in his eyes.

"That flimsy thing?" Urashiki chuckled mockingly. "You call that a barrier?"

Gaara's brow furrowed. He slipped through my barrier without a sound… that skin, those eyes… the Byakugan. Could he be related to Kaguya Ōtsutsuki?

"You're the one who attacked the Eight-Tails, aren't you?" Gaara demanded.

"The Eight-Tails?" Urashiki tilted his head with a teasing smile.

"Oh no, that was something my seniors handled. But you—you had a Tailed Beast inside you once, right? What was it called again… Shukaku, the One-Tail?"

Without another word, Urashiki's fishing rod glowed crimson as he swung it sharply.

The hook at its end shot forward like an arrow, whistling through the air.

A sand wall instantly rose in front of Gaara—but to his shock, the hook sliced through it effortlessly. It twisted in midair and pierced straight into his chest.

"It actually went through my sand defense!" Gaara gasped, staring in disbelief at the red-glowing line now embedded in him.

"You're hooked," Urashiki said with a sinister smile.

He gave the line a slight tug—and a glowing sphere of chakra was pulled from Gaara's body into his hand.

"Who… are you?" Gaara demanded, clutching his chest, his face pale.

"Lord Kazekage, what's wrong?" Several Sand Ninja burst into the compartment, alarmed by the sudden surge of chakra.

"Who are you!?" one of them shouted furiously at Urashiki.

Urashiki glanced at them lazily. "I've already caught what I wanted. Whether I kill you or not doesn't matter anymore."

A swirling black portal appeared behind him, and before anyone could react, Urashiki floated backward into it—disappearing without a trace.

"He mentioned 'seniors'…" Gaara muttered, his expression darkening. "That means there are more of them."

In the Hokage's Office, Naruto, Sasuke, Shikamaru, and the other Kage were in deep discussion.

"Kinshiki Ōtsutsuki and Momoshiki Ōtsutsuki," Kurotsuchi said skeptically. "Naruto, are you sure that intel from that masked Uchiha Menma is reliable?"

"Kinshiki and Momoshiki…" Gaara murmured, frowning. "Are they like Kaguya—members of the Ōtsutsuki Clan?"

"Kazekage," Darui asked, noticing Gaara's expression, "do you know something?"

"Yes," Gaara replied evenly. "On my way here, I encountered a powerful individual. Pale skin. Byakugan eyes. But he wasn't either of the ones you mentioned."

He described the encounter in detail, the others listening intently.

"Could it be that more Ōtsutsuki have already arrived in the Ninja World?" Naruto's expression turned grave. "Not just Kinshiki and Momoshiki?"

Gaara nodded. "That man—Urashiki, I believe—took a portion of my chakra, then escaped using space-time ninjutsu. What bothers me is why he didn't kill me when he had the chance."

"Space-time jutsu…" Sasuke muttered, frustration flickering in his eyes. "If only I still had my Rinnegan—I could've tracked him."

Kurotsuchi's eyes widened. "Wait—what? Sasuke, your Rinnegan is gone? Who could possibly take it from you?"

Gaara's voice was calm but firm. "Sasuke… who did this?"

"It was Menma," Sasuke said flatly. "He took my Rinnegan—and used it to revive the dead."

The room fell silent.

Shikamaru exhaled. "We were going to brief everyone about it. Menma resurrected several powerful figures to prepare for the coming Ōtsutsuki threat."

"Revived… who, exactly?" Darui asked, disbelief written on his face.

"The First Hokage, the Second, the Fourth… Uchiha Madara, and even members of the Akatsuki," Shikamaru listed grimly.

"What!?" Kurotsuchi slammed her hands on the table. "Madara Uchiha's been revived? That's insane!"

"What the hell is Menma planning?" Darui said, scowling. "Does he want to start another Shinobi World War?"

Gaara turned to Naruto and Sasuke. "If Sasuke no longer has his Rinnegan, and Menma has control of the Edo Tensei… this could get out of hand."

Naruto frowned deeply but shook his head. "Menma's motives aren't clear yet. He hasn't made any move to threaten the Ninja World directly."

But his thoughts drifted elsewhere—to the night his parents and Jiraiya were resurrected.

Why would Menma revive them… and even Sasuke's mother? They're not the kind of people who could fight the Ōtsutsuki on equal terms… unless—

Naruto's eyes darkened. "Could it be…"

He trailed off, shaking his head.

"Regardless," he continued firmly, "Menma's strength—and the ones he revived—might be the only thing standing between us and the Ōtsutsuki Clan."

Kurotsuchi suddenly perked up. "Wait—you said Akatsuki members too? Was Deidara revived?"

Naruto blinked. "Yeah, actually. I think I saw someone who looked like him dancing outside my house during Himawari's birthday party. Still in Edo Tensei form, too."

Kurotsuchi's eyes lit up. "Deidara… dancing? I need to see that."

Chōjūrō chuckled softly. "Then Kisame Hoshigaki must've been revived as well. That explains why Samehada went missing—it must've returned to him."

"Well," he added with a shrug, "Samehada only ever truly obeyed Kisame anyway."

The room grew tense again as Sasuke spoke. "With another Ōtsutsuki moving in the shadows, we should terminate the Chunin Exams immediately."

"But this is the first joint Chunin Exams in history," Chōjūrō said, hesitating. "It's a symbol of peace between the Five Great Villages."

Gaara nodded. "Canceling it without proof would cause panic and undermine our unity. Besides, it might serve as a chance to uncover the Ōtsutsuki's true motives."

Shikamaru folded his arms. "Agreed. We need intel, not retreat. Let the exams continue—but we'll keep our eyes open."

Naruto stood up, his expression resolute. "As Hokage, it's my duty to protect the Village. But fear will not rule us."

He looked around at the other Kage.

"The Chunin Exams will continue."
