The next day began with a naming ceremony. The naming ceremony was important because it would also give it a spot on a map, as it was a magical ritual.
Naming ceremonies were actually common because you had to do them per ship and per map. So technically the elves usually wouldn't make a big deal out of it.
The ship was large enough to easily accommodate everyone. 3 levels of on-deck and 3 more of cabin space. Large sails and masts.
However, the masts were much different than a human ship. Instead of a single log, it was several, and there were several large pieces attached to it. This was because the elves could create their own wind, there was a placement to raise the front sails and use a back-facing one. Allowing an actual reverse.
It still moved like a boat on water though, so tight turns were hard. But unlike human ships they had thrust they could control.
