The wand was like one he had never seen before, On it were carved words of a language similar to that which he formerly saw on the book. He was still shocked and astonished as to what just happened. He was trying to wrap his head around it all when he heard a voice that sent shivers down his spine.
"It choses you, the wanderlust wand chooses the wise wandering wizard" the voice said appearing broke and faded as every bit echoed in the night air.
"Show your self" Adonis said, pointing the wand as he turned from one direction to another.
"Fear not young lad" The voice said as it's owner appeared from behind the large pillars that lead out the garden. Even as late as it was the moon shined bright, Adonis could see the face of the old man and it felt as if he knew the man. His instincts told him not to let his guard down.
"do I know You" Adonis shouted at the top of his voice as he pointed the wand at the old man, playing offence.
"You do ... It is I, Gregor Evermore" the man declared. Gregor, that name rang a bell in Adonis's ear and It brought forth an emotion which was in no way good.
As rage took over Adonis his wand sparked and a beam of light generated which blasted the old man against the pillar, lying face down.
He dropped the wand and fell on his knees "did I just do that?" he asked himself, and he wasn't gonna wait for reply, was he? He took his broom and backpack, turning around as he intended to fly away.
"Won't you hear me out" Gregor said his voice shaking.
"What do I want to hear from a traitor like you, and why the hell are you alive?" he snapped refusing to face the old man.
"You know there's always two sides to everything, and there's always another way around... all I wanted was something sacred, peaceful, and... "
Adonis cuts in, facing the old man "And what?... and what?... don't feed me lies you old wrench".
"I just took the other way round... but you, the wanderlust wand chooses you, you can do it, you've got what it takes and your path is bright with lots of help from all ... You can re-incarnate Carnatia."
"You're saying shit" he picked the wand and the book, avoiding contact with Gregor before turning around and flying away.
"You know where to find me" Gregor said as he watched the young wizard fly away into the night sky.
He opened his window and entered into his dark room; the light was off.
Immediately he dropped the wand and his backpack,
Someone opened the door and switched on the light.
"Caught red handed" Iris said
"You almost killed me" Adonis replied using his palm to rub his face as he sat on the edge of his bed.
"I think aunt saphire's got that"
"Stop the jokes Iris, I'm not in for them"
"So what took you so long and where is the gift?"
He hesitated "I didn't remember where I left it exactly so I had to search almost all the palace... So that's for that. Fill me in?" He disregarded the topic and iris didn't seem to bother.
Iris smirked "well I told them you wanted to make something special for Carnatia and you need not be disturbed".
Adonis got up and placed his hand on Iris's shoulder, forgetting all that had just transpired "you are the best" he said emotionally as he breathed in relief which made iris give him a reassuring and honest smile.
They both walk out the room when Iris stopped him "where is the present!"
"Oh!!!" Adonis said hitting his hand on his head in frustration before running back to get the present.
"Here it is" he said showing it to Iris as they both walked down the stairs.
The music, the chit-chatting, the noise of ladies giggling, men chatting, kids running around andteenagers forming gossips cliques were all in the air.
"There you guys are" Aunt Milli said as she pulled them into hugs "you guys have missed the dinner but I saved food for you" she smiled " and you guys arrived just right." She confused the kids before adding "It's time to open the present" she said in excitement.
After opening the presents people began to leave the house and before they knew it the masses had reduced.
Grandma and Grandpa were lying exhausted on the couch and so were stephen, and Kyle, soon Ryle and saphire joined them in the living room, but Carnatia was still active after all she did today. She was a little too energetic for a seven year old girl. The used plates and the recyclable drinking cups were all lying on the floor, scattered and tattered.
"Adonis please take those plates to the kitchen" Saphire told Adonis when she suddenly remembered something and it seemed it wasn't only her as the same smirk played across her and Carnatia's face "And where are the gifts you guys have been working on" she asked.
"Yes my gift!!!" Carnatia exclaimed in pure excitement attracting everyones attention.
"Bring them out let see them" Grandpa brown said.
Iris ran to the room and when he came back he was with a pink fluffy teddy bear. He gave it to Carnatia who accepted it with joy.
"I love you cousin iris" she said with a cherishing smile.
After Adonis saw what Iris got Carnatia, he hesitated to bring out his gift, feeling a little disappointed in himself but he later brought it out "here's your gift" he said shyly as he handed the box to Carnatia. Carnatia didn't spare a second in tearing the box open. She brought out the bracelet and wore it after which it began to glow "pretty" she said in amusement.
"Just like you, my glowing blue pearl" Adonis said as he hugged his sister.
" You're the best, Adonis" Carnatia hugged back.
"Awn!!!" the whole family chorused.
Iris joined in on the hug, screaming "group huggggg!!!" and soon Stephen, Kyle, and Kingston followed suit.
"Irisssssss!!!!!!!!!!!" Adonis screamed in frustration but all his screams transited into cute mumbles due to the number of bodies wrapped around him.
"Don't be a pooper, cousin" he heard iris say before one of his mischievous chuckles " enjoy the mome..." Iris choked on his words "aaaaaargh!!!" He shouted in frustration "dad!!!, you're choking me with your big arms" he coughed out.
"You came from them" Stephen said as he flexed his arms in the air which made the whole family burst into uncontrollable laughter.
"This is the best birthday ever" Carnatia whispered to herself amidst the warm embrace of pure love.
