"Do you really think you can escape?"
Watching Android 18 soar into the sky, Trunks' expression remained terrifyingly cold. Twisting his body, he shot forward like a compressed spring.
In the blink of an eye!
Trunks caught up to Android 18. The two streaked through the sky side by side, their eyes locking.
Android 18 immediately came to a stop, her face turning deathly pale.
"Please... spare me! I'm begging you!"
"Spare you?" Trunks said icily. "Did either of you ever think about sparing Gohan when he was alive?"
Even as he spoke, his hands never paused.
He was the last Saiyan left in this world.
He couldn't afford to be careless.
BOOM!!
Trunks abandoned his sword and instantly closed the distance. Bringing both hands to his waist, he gathered an overwhelming surge of energy.
"Kamehameha!!!"
It was a technique Uncle Goku had taught him during their two years inside the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.
With a battle power of 1.8 billion, the attack erupted from his palms. A brilliant blue torrent engulfed Android 18, washing over her like an unstoppable tidal wave.
The energy was unimaginably terrifying. The heat radiating from it was like that of a newborn sun scorching the earth itself.
Everything withered before it.
Android 18 was instantly reduced to a cloud of blood mist, which was immediately vaporized by the searing temperature.
Android 18... dead!
"Haaah..."
Watching the two monsters who had plunged Earth into despair die by his own hands, Trunks let out a long, heavy breath.
At this moment...
He had never felt happier in his life.
He had finally avenged everyone!
"Big Brother Gohan... did you see that?"
Hovering in the sky, Trunks raised his head and let out a triumphant roar.
Not long afterward, jubilant cheers erupted from below.
"The Androids are dead!!!"
"We're saved! Those two devils are finally gone!"
"It was the Capsule Corporation heir who killed them! Earth has finally been saved!"
"..."
The cries came from the surviving residents of West City.
They had witnessed the deaths of Androids 17 and 18 with their own eyes.
Floating high above, Trunks looked down over the ruined city. West City lay in complete devastation, yet every survivor wore a smile of genuine joy.
"Uncle Goku... if you hadn't helped me, I never would have..."
Trunks clenched his fists tightly.
The power he possessed now existed entirely because Goku had personally trained him for two years.
"Right! I almost forgot—I need to hurry back and tell Mom I'm safe."
Only then did Trunks remember that he had disappeared for two days.
He quickly composed himself and flew toward the place where his mother had been hiding.
Not long afterward, he arrived at a massive field of ruins.
Beneath the collapsed buildings was an underground shelter—the refuge where he and his mother had been living.
"Mom!"
Trunks shouted loudly, his voice echoing throughout the ruins.
A moment later, a blue-haired woman rushed out from the underground shelter.
"Trunks! You're finally back! I thought something had happened to you!"
It was Bulma of this timeline.
She threw herself at Trunks and hugged him tightly, her voice trembling with relief.
"Mom, it's okay. I just came back from the past."
"The past?"
Bulma froze for a moment before realization dawned on her.
"So... you really didn't return to the actual past."
She gave a bitter smile.
"No, I didn't return to the true past."
"But this journey through time gave me the power to change the future!"
Trunks recounted everything—from traveling to the alternate past to spending two years training inside the Hyperbolic Time Chamber under Goku's guidance.
After hearing the entire story, Bulma remained silent for a long time, unable to calm the storm raging in her heart.
"Mom... Uncle Goku was the one who helped me."
To be continued...
"Goku..."
Bulma released Trunks and gazed into the sky, nostalgia flickering across her eyes.
"No matter which timeline he's in... Goku is always someone you can rely on."
If only the Goku of this world were still alive...
"Mom! When I came back, I already killed those two Androids. Earth is safe now!"
"What?!"
"It's true! My power has completely surpassed theirs. Neither of them could even survive a single exchange against me."
"I see..."
Bulma sighed inwardly.
She had only clung to the faintest hope—that Trunks might somehow return to the true past and change the future.
Instead, he had arrived in a different timeline altogether.
Yet even so, he had returned with the strength needed to save their world.
As expected...
Goku was always dependable.
"Mom, have you ever heard of a Saiyan named Gran?"
"Gran?"
Bulma frowned, thinking carefully before shaking her head.
"No. I've never heard of a Saiyan by that name."
"But there is one in that other timeline."
"And he's even become a God of Destruction Candidate."
Trunks told her about Gran frightening him, as well as Gran's identity.
"How is that even possible?!"
Bulma's eyes widened in disbelief.
She had never imagined that another timeline could differ so drastically from their own.
"The other timeline has even crazier differences. Just... don't be too shocked."
"Go ahead."
"In that timeline, Vegeta isn't my father."
"His wife is Aunt Tights."
"What?!"
Bulma's entire body trembled.
Of course she knew Tights.
She was Bulma's older sister, though in this timeline she had long since disappeared without a trace.
"And Raditz and Nappa never died."
"They're both living on Earth alongside Vegeta."
"How could that be...?"
Bulma stood frozen.
Everything Trunks described was vastly different from the history she knew.
Seeing her overwhelmed, Trunks stayed silent, giving his mother time to process everything.
"This is... unbelievable."
After a long while, Bulma finally came back to her senses, though the shock still lingered on her face.
"Trunks, is there anything else different about that timeline?"
"For now, those are the biggest differences."
"Everything else is mostly the same... except..."
His expression suddenly became grave.
Bulma looked at him.
"What is it?"
Placing both hands firmly on his mother's shoulders, Trunks spoke with utmost seriousness.
"Mom... the Android crisis isn't the end."
"After it's over... our timeline still faces an even greater catastrophe."
"What?!"
Bulma's face paled again.
Just two Androids had wiped out nearly all their friends and turned Earth into a wasteland.
If something even worse existed...
How terrifying would it be?
"Trunks... how do you know about this?"
"The other Mom..."
"No, I mean Bulma Auntie from that timeline told me."
Trunks explained everything Future Bulma had warned him about regarding Zamasu.
BOOM!
Bulma felt as though a thunderbolt had exploded inside her mind.
She didn't doubt Trunks for even a second.
A Supreme Kai apprentice...
Planning to carry out the Zero Mortals Plan?
This was beyond imagination.
"Trunks... what do we do now?"
Bulma asked anxiously.
"Don't worry, Mom."
"Bulma Auntie from the other timeline also told me how to stop it."
Releasing his mother's shoulders, Trunks looked up at the sky with a solemn expression.
"She said... all we have to do is find the God of Destruction of our timeline."
