"Get up.."
"Get UP!"
The boy vomited water as he was revived by a female knight who proceeded to heal him. She was young, slender had brown skin and a dark red pixie cut.
"The Dragons have been wiped out My Lady". A young knight said to his superior as he bent a knee and lowered his head.
The superior was a woman of great height and build, she was dark skinned and had brown neatly packed locs. Her lips were small and red, her eyes were big and golden. She wore no chest piece, just under armour and a jacket atop it. The Jacket was Blue and White and beared the symbol of the Dominion Guild.
"Dammit Arthur, i wish you could've called us sooner". The knight yelled out as she sat upon a large barrel, which contained food. Her sword was long and thin, she stuck in into the ground and lowered her head.
"Did you kill them?".
"What?". The knight looked to her left to observe the young boy they found. He didn't finish the healer process but he wanted to find out what had happened.
The Knight starred at him.
"Yes". She finally replied him.
The boy fell to his knees, crying and dragging the dirt with his fingers.
"It's okay now". She said as she got up and touched the boy's shoulder, consoling him.
"Not it's not, they destroyed EVERYTHING. My home, my school, my friends, my neighbours, my.. my parents".
"They killed my parents and my baby sister". The boy shouted as he fell completely to the floor.
"Nothing is okay". He said as he closed his eyes, the wound that ran across his face was healed but it had become a scar.
"What's his name?". The Knight asked.
"I believe it's Merlin, my lady". The healer responded.
"Take him to an airship, tell the aerial unit captain that i sent you. Oh, and follow him, stay with him until i get back. When we get back to the capital, i want to discuss his future with the roundtable". She told the healer.
"Yes Madam". The healer replied and hurriedly carried the boy on her back as she walked away.
The knight walked to the sea port and looked upon the dismembered of what was once a swarm of little dragons.
"If he did this, he is certainly capable of great things". She said as she turned around and walked away.
"Prepare the bodies, we have honour them and give them a proper burial, every one of them". The Knight.
"Yes Madam". The surrounding knights responded as they passed on the information to others and continued rounding up the bodies.
After a couple days in the air, the airship finally arrives at the capital.
Airships are commonly used by The Border Guild's Aerial Unit for search and rescue, patrol, transport or quick response. It is powered by turbine energy and large gemstone core, which added in the powering of propellers and boosters.
The airship arrived at The Roundtable Compound, which contained their castle. It was located near The Council Mansion.
"My name is Rehema, me and you are going to spend some time together". The young healer said to the devastated boy with a gentle smile.
"Uhm, who was the lady knight over there, she seemed really up the food chain". Merlin asked as she covered him with a blanket.
"She's the leader of the guild". The young knight replied him as she opened the door to the leader's quarters. The boy followed her.
"Don't worry kid, just sit on the couch over there and I'll get you something to eat". She said as she rubbed his hair.
Merlin sat alone in the room as his mind raced back to his family, he lowered his head as he started sobbing.
Two weeks has passed.
Rehema and Merlin sat Infront of the building and shared a laugh as he talked about his friends and a carriage slowly approached them. The Dominion Guild emblem showed clearly on the walls of the carriage, as the horses galloped their way.
Rehema stood upright and commanded Merlin to do so.
The carriage stopped and a lady stepped out. It was Lady Katrina, who was incredibly young at the time.
Rehema bent a knee.
"Welcome my lady". She immediately greeted.
"Good to see you Rehema, is this him?". Lady Katrina asked.
"Yes, my lady". Rehema responded.
"I am the captain of Dominion Guild Squad One, as you know i am on the path to become vice leader, so you will not mess this up for me. I am sure Rehema has told you that already". Lady Katrina said to the young Merlin.
"Ye.. yess ma'am". Merlin quickly responded.
"You will take a weapon of your choice and i will train you for the next few months, starting today, me and our lovely leader will take turn preparing you until you are old enough to become a knight. Once she gets back she will begin her session, oh and she doesn't hold back." Lady Katrina added as she grabbed the hilt of her katana and starred at him with her sharp eyes.
Merlin picked up a large double edged sword and took a stance.
"Can you even fight with that". The captain asked with concern.
"I made my choice, a week ago. Me and Rehema didn't spend all that time talking and laughing". The boy said with a serious expression as darkness emerged from him and covered the sword.
"Interesting." Lady Katrina muttered with a smile as she drew her Katrina and clashed with the boy.
Years passed and Merlin became a knight, he grew older, stronger and the guild leader and vice continued to be his teachers. He adopted a distinct style by wearing an armour clad in black.
"You know, a nickname will come from this". The leader said to him as she offered Merlin who was now a young man, a mug of beer and they shared a drink and belched together.
"You're making me feel old, you little rascal". She said to Merlin as she rubbed his head, she was at least a head taller than him.
"Send my regards to Lady Katrina, i want to meet up with my team". Merlin said as he put on his helmet.
"Thank you for all you did, i will not forget it and i wont fail you". Merlin yelled out as he bent a knee.
"Uhh just get up Merlin". She rushed the young knight to be on his way as she continued her beer.
"You know if you continue with this track record you might become a captain". His leader said to him.
"I hope to see you again my master". He quietly uttered as he lowered his visor and walked out of the quarters.
"They grow up so fast". She said as she continued drinking.
"I wonder with that mad scientist is up to". She said to herself as she continued drinking.
Merlin joined up with his team as they rode away. His team, Team Beta. They were brutally efficient under his leadership and they possessed an incredibly high success rate.
A few passed after Merlin has taken over team beta and he came across a large forest. Dead bodies of Pegasus spread throughout the green as rain began to fall.
"What the hell is this". Cordius asked.
"I've seen this before". Merlin responded as he took out his blade and a medium sized dragon emerged from the deep forest.
The five knight sad on stumps, covered in blood they had killed the beast but they were worn out. Their healer had begun to revive the group.
Merlin got up and began to search, looking everywhere for any survivor.
"We're lucky it wasn't a big one. Good thing we got the report early". Cordius yelled out.
"Yeah… real lucky". Merlin replied him as he continued to search deep within the forest where the dragon layed. Hundreds of corpses and bones laid. Something troubled his mind.
He searched and searched and finally.
"There you are". Merlin grabbed a baby Pegasus that had been born from it's mother's corpse.
"You're just like me, you're a survivor". He said as he took out a blanket and covered it.
"I'm going to name you Pearl." he said to the little creature as he held it in his arms and walked towards his teammates.
