The mark could not read someone's mind, but the communication function accessed an unguarded area of the mind that the target could block.
But if you weren't familiar with the concept or the mark, it allowed him to access unguarded thoughts of weak minds.
It wasn't much and it wasn't supposed to be anything, it was just a helpful side effect.
But it would play a crucial role in a future ability.
Wrapping everything up in Heavens Arena they continued their journey.
Heading to a place called Giants Paradise. An auxiliary adventure for them. Mainly for Menchi to witness the largest creature this known world had to offer, for her ability.
But an adventure was an adventure. Filled with unique creatures and abilities to explore.
Traveling to this new location. Menchi got two notifications back in Heavens Area.
A challenge from Enel, but also someone named Rodger.
That surprised Roman, because Rodger was the reincarnator affiliated with the mafia.
Unfortunately or fortunately they had already left and had no plans on returning in the short term
Rodger wasn't a floor master, so Menchi was destined to lose her floor by forfeit soon.
Something she was dissatisfied with, and took a lot of effort to convince to let it go.
Arriving in a unique environment, with towering red wood trees sparsely scattered. The land was wide with steep rocky walls and hills.
Thick moss was scattered around, growing out of trees and deep holes that didn't leave any room for rodents to burrow.
Roman was particularly interested in the creatures, not because of any uniqueness. But rather that they were dinosaurs as if from prehistoric earth.
These creatures didn't actually have any ability's, they were just big, perhaps a passive ability.
Passive herbivore dinos like triceratops, spinosaurus, brachiosaurus and many more, all living in herds.
Aggressive carnivore Dino's like T-Rex, raptors, carnosaurs and many more that pick off stranglers from the herds and each other.
Many creatures that were much bigger than elephants, though the largest was in a massive lake, at the center of the special area.
Having Menchi wait by the shore. Roman dove into the water to try and attract a behemoth.
Instead of utilizing En, he pushed his soul eyes to their limit, searching for something strong.
While Roman and Menchi continued their adventures, significant events were occurring around the world.
In a certain city, a powerful youth, a reincarnator, excluded a dangerous aura.
It was Ikari, treading in the dead of night, stalking another youth, definitely a reincarnator.
It was a young girl meditating in a dojo, with the name 'Netero' inscribed on the back of her clothes.
Her aura was tame and refined but potent.
Ikari had been stalking her for days now and was prepared to strike.
This wasn't a personal grudge or fueled by self-interest.
Rather a job from his family's business that he could decline but there was definitely a variable in his own interests, or else he wouldn't have taken the job.
It was no doubt a personal client, or else even his family would have gotten involved to stop him.
It was too dangerous after all he was targeting a family friend's granddaughter, he knew that but had his own confidence.
Darting forward through the shadows cast from the dark night.
Ikari appeared above the Netero girl, with shadows all around her warping into lethal weapons, he stabbed forward.
But the next second an enormous presence erupted, somehow forcing all his movements and aura fluctuations to freeze.
It wasn't the girl, but an old man that appeared out of nowhere.
His appearance made Ikari's eyes widen, it was Isaac Netero the hunter chairman and the strongest human. At least in the eyes of the public.
But it didn't stall him for long, erupting once more this time to flee.
Internally scoffing, "how did she get her grandfather to personally protect her. My own grandfather hasn't helped me once, let alone the Zolydics old ancestor Maha."
Though he was quickly pushed out of his thoughts, because of the Netero girl, his target wasn't where she was supposed to be.
Rather she was in front of him blocking his escape, wearing a mocking expression, and he had no clue how she got there.
Narrowing his eyes, Ikari activated his 'shadow escape' Hatsu ability.
But it was blocked, this wasn't the first time it occurred. That guy Enel had done a similar thing before.
Only now noticing a thin bubble around their surrounding, definitely the girl's ability, the source that blocked his way.
This made him scoff, after challenging Enel he had long figured out how to get around this barrier.
Activating two more abilities, shadows shrouded him. Blocking him from not only the senses of others, but also their Nen.
The next moment he was gone, with the Netero girl none the wiser.
"Hmph! Come out you rat!" The girl tried to provoke.
But her grandfather, Isaac Netero only sighed. "It's no use Aria, that Zoldyck brat has escaped."
"What?! Impossible?!" The Netero girl named Aria widened her eyes.
Meanwhile within Meteor city a grey haired youth, that Roman would know as Rodger stood in a mafia compound.
The mafia having strong ties with meteor city, across from him were three top leaders within the mafia.
"Where is the Phantom Troupe?" Rodger questioned.
"Young master everything is in this file. But-" one of the leaders was interrupted as Rodger took the file and sifted through it.
"What else?!" Rodger paused to glare at the middle aged man.
"Young master, there is a youth that you didn't mention that seemed to be one of the two leaders." The old man spoke while holding his head down.
But the man's statement made Rodger frown.
"So there's one with the phantom troupe." He whispered to himself.
After going through the file, he set out. Rodger had made contact with a number of reincarnations, he knew lots were weak and ignorant, but not all.
Enel and Ikari were proof of that, he had already deduced their identities.
So this new phantom troupe needed himself to personally investigate them in-depth.
Wandering the streets of meteor city near the targeted location he spoke. "Hide."
And his Nen responded, this wasn't his ability but one he had stolen from a future hunter he knew from the anime, Knov, who would participate in the chimera ant ark.
With the help of the mafia's connections, he had tracked and located a number of Nen users to steal from.
Approaching a half destroyed building silently and secretly.
Rodger watched the phantom troupe, it was much stronger and developed than it should.
This was due to one individual that he glanced at from the corner of his eye.
A blue haired youth that seemed preoccupied with something, something invisible.
'A system.' Rodger thought slightly concerned.
He wasn't reborn into this world with a golden figure, and nobody that he made contact with seemed to either.
It was probably an ability, but Rodger still became cautious.
Watching half of the Phantom Troupe on one side rest and socialize, while the other half train together.
Rodger was patient, and waited till the troupe dispersed. Secretly he was annoyed, half of the troupe had already developed their Hatsu that greatly disrupted his plans.
Following the most important member that didn't have a Hatsu yet. He waited till the kid reached a hideout and began to rest.
The information in the file detailed that some of the troupe members were independent. Others had close friends that they were glued to, but they didn't all live together.
They worked together, taking missions from the elder council of the city and training together. It wouldn't be long till they left meteor city to cause some chaos.
Before that though there were sure to be casualties now that Rodger was around.
Watching Omokage sleeping peacefully, Rodger lightly touched him speaking. "Bomber."
It was an ability from Genthru, an antagonist from the anime in greed island.
This was his insurance, a bomb was now attached to him.
But before Rodger could stab his hand into Omokage's heart to accomplish his goal.
A blue haired figure appeared behind him. "What do you think you're doing?"
Their aura exploded separating, while Omokage awoke not understanding the situation.
"You? Why are you here?" Rodger asked the blue haired reincarnator.
But he only smirked. "I didn't expect to meet anybody this early, especially in this dump."
"Hmph, it's too late anyway." Rodger spoke.
"Little flower is my ability to cause explosions from my hands." Rodger displayed the ability with a smirk.
While the blue haired kid was confused for a moment before understanding and panicking.
