United Nations Assembly Hall — Geneva
The hall was chaos.
Dozens of flags hung above a sea of shouting delegates, translators struggling to keep pace with the storm of accusation, fear and awe that filled the air. On every screen, news feeds replayed the same images:
The Chitauri armada burning above Manhattan.
The Spartan IVs holding the line.
The Archangel of the Web, wings of light cleaving the heavens.
But it was Peter Parker's name that echoed through the room like a gunshot.
"A private citizen commanded an army!"
"He fielded an official military-level weaponry without sanction!"
"What happens when Parker Industries decides the UN is 'inefficient'?!"
The gavel slammed.
At the center dais, Ambassador Everett Ross stood, red-faced and sweating. "Mr. Parker, this assembly demands transparency. The scale of your operation exceeds that of any nation on Earth. We require full disclosure of Parker Industries Combat Capability and its..."
"Denied." Refused Peter.
The room froze.
Peter stood calmly at the center of the chamber, not in armor but in a dark tailored suit, the faint gleam of nanoweave visible only to trained eyes. Behind him, Gwen stood silent, dressed in the Iron Spider Mk. II disguised as an elegant dress, her gaze was unwavering.
"The Spartan IVs are not simply supersoldiers. They're a responsibility and they answer to me. They exist to protect this planet, not to be turned into another arms race."
A South African ambassador leaned forward. "And who decides that? You?"
Peter's eyes didn't flinch.
"Someone has to."
Whispers rippled through the hall.
From the gallery, Tony muttered to Bruce, "He's definitely not running for president."
Bruce sighed. "No, he's already won."
Balcony Overlooking Lake Geneva
Gwen found Peter standing at the railing, looking out at the lake. Its waters smooth, reflecting the rising sun.
"That went… well?" Said Gwen unsure.
"They're afraid. Not only of me — but of the fact that they can't control what comes next. Fear makes people stupid."
"You can't blame them for that. You built miracles." Assures Gwen.
"Miracles made by men scare people more than monsters."
Gwen stepped beside him, her hand brushing his. "Then you'll just have to remind them which one you are."
A small smile touched his lips. "You always know how to talk me down."
"Because, that's my job silly." She said softly.
S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier — Containment Deck
Loki sat in his cell, wrists bound, smirking faintly as Fury approached.
"You mortals play with powers you cannot comprehend. Forges, gods, cubes of creation. You believe you've won?" Spat Loki.
"You're the one in a box, son. Also Thor's taking you away to Asgard to be tried under their law."
Loki's smile widened. Cold, knowing.
"You think the game ends with me? The veil trembles, Director. The stars are watching. And they are hungry."
He leaned closer, his eyes flickering with faint blue or perhaps something far older.
"Tell your precious Spider-Woman… and her builder of light… the dark remembers them."
Fury's jaw clenched. "Enjoy your stay. We'll see how long the dark can wait."
As he turned away, Loki's voice echoed like smoke.
"It already waits no more." Yelled Loki.
Deep Space — The Outer Edge of the Kuiper Belt
Silence.
Then... motion.
Something vast drifted in the black, its surface glinting like obsidian and starlight. An armoured hand. It was ancient, colossal and reached toward a holographic projection of Earth.
The voice that spoke was not human. It was deep, patient and powerful.
" Mortals playing gods? Interesting."
A faint smile curled across unseen lips.
" I will take from their fire what is owed."
The starlight dimmed — and the void seemed to pulse with anticipation.
Parker Tower — New York
Peter stared at the stars through the panoramic glass. He couldn't shake the feeling — that something out there was watching back.
Gwen approached quietly, a tablet in hand. "The Archangel's readings are stable. Whatever that spike was, it's gone."
Peter nodded slowly. "Maybe. Or maybe it's just waiting."
She set the tablet down and looked up at him. "Then we wait too."
He smiled faintly, wrapping an arm around her. Outside, New York glittered — a city reborn under alien fire.
"The war's over." Peter said softly.
"For now." Whispers Gwen.
