As Kamiyama grew anxious, the situation continued to develop in a direction unfavorable to him. By skillfully utilizing Gengar's Hypnosis, Gu Yuan controlled several bystanders to report information to the police, effectively locking onto Kamiyama's details.
Minging within the crowded throng, Kamiyama watched the distant explosion site from afar. The unease in his heart grew stronger. Soon, following witness testimonies, Kamiyama's disguised appearance was sketched out.
"Conduct a full-scale search! Once he's spotted, do not alert him immediately. Ensure there are no other civilians nearby before initiating the arrest!"
Officer Jenny's voice rang out, and the police officers on the scene immediately mobilized. Although she wondered why everything was going so smoothly, the environment of Neon Town had long since left her frustrated. Now, she simply wanted to capture the perpetrator of this terrorist act as quickly as possible.
Officers weaved through the crowd. Suddenly, an officer named Peng felt something was wrong to his left. He turned his head and saw a familiar face. Just as Peng was feeling suspicious, the suspect noticed him and immediately fled.
"Come quickly! I've found the culprit! He is currently fleeing through the crowd!"
As he spoke, Peng shared his location and pushed through the crowd to stay firmly behind the target.
"Damn it! Damn it! Damn it!"
A string of curses erupted from Kamiyama. He didn't understand how the police could move so fast this time. Even if his actions were crude, it shouldn't have been this easy to lock onto him. He kept running, knowing that if the police surrounded him, it would only give the person hiding in the shadows more opportunities to strike.
Invisible psychic power was released. Mingling in the crowd, Gu Yuan silently used his powers to clear a path for the police. People pushed aside by the psychic force felt an invisible power, but seeing the police passing by, they didn't think twice about it.
As the distance between the two sides closed, Kamiyama stopped hiding. Since the opponent wanted to make a move, he would show them what he was capable of. A Poké Ball opened, and Arbok appeared. It swung its poisonous tail in a sweep, but the blow was blocked by a suddenly appearing Annihilape.
"I am League Trainer Gu Yuan. Leave him to me; evacuate the surrounding citizens immediately!"
Gu Yuan's voice rang out. Following him, Charizard, Sylveon, Alakazam, and Ditto appeared one after another. Flames erupted as Charizard, using Flame Charge, was the first to rush forward. Its Leader Rank aura flared, and roaring flames instantly enveloped Arbok and Kamiyama.
"Curse you!"
"Arbok, use Iron Tail!"
"Crobat, stop that Charizard!"
"Electabuzz, sweep them with Thunder!"
After a frantic curse, Kamiyama released all of his Leader Rank Pokémon. The Iron Tail swung out but only managed to dissipate a portion of the flames; Arbok still couldn't prevent the fire from slamming into its body.
Before Arbok could catch its breath, Annihilape had already charged in front of it, delivering a Rage Fist. With a flap of its wings and a surge of massive fire, Charizard became entangled in a struggle with Crobat. Sylveon's Hyper Beam (via Pixilate) completely crushed the Thunder, tying down the turret-like Electabuzz. Meanwhile, Ditto transformed into Alakazam to prevent the battle's aftershocks from hitting the civilians.
Among the police, Peng recognized Gu Yuan's identity and knew his strength immediately. Although he didn't know why Gu Yuan was here, it didn't affect his admiration. He quickly followed Gu Yuan's instructions with his colleagues.
"I am Gu Yuan. I am currently communicating with you via Telepathy."
"I have discovered another Psychic lurking nearby. I am currently unsure if they are friend or foe. My Alakazam is confronting them. The approximate location is the Neon Hotel to the west. Please go and search it."
"The opponent is very strong, so please be extremely careful."
Gu Yuan's voice echoed in their minds. The location he pointed out was exactly where he had confined the other four Team Rocket members.
"You've noticed something wrong around here too, haven't you?"
"I'm telling you, we have another Psychic in hiding!"
"Either you let me go now, or you wait for the residents of Neon Town to be slaughtered!"
After noticing Gu Yuan's Alakazam had been on high alert, Kamiyama immediately associated it with the Psychic hiding in the dark. He shamelessly tried to bluff his way out.
"Then I'll deal with you first before going after him!"
"Alakazam, coordinate with the police. I will support you shortly."
As Gu Yuan spoke, Alakazam used Teleport and vanished. Since the crowd had been evacuated, Ditto, still transformed as Alakazam, also vanished. Blast Burn erupted again, completely suppressing Crobat. The gap in strength allowed Charizard to begin its final general offensive to take Crobat down for good.
Annihilape's Rage Fist had also increased to a staggering level after several boosts. It swung its fist, and Arbok's Iron Tail simply could not hold it back; it was instantly crushed by the power of the Rage Fist. Sylveon released Hyper Beam as if they cost nothing, repeatedly shattering Electabuzz's Thunder before slamming into its body.
Kamiyama seemingly hadn't expected Gu Yuan to be so powerful. He was facing a total collapse in an instant. Gu Yuan didn't give him any chance to resist, ordering Charizard and the others to intensify their assault.
"Let me go in first."
Alakazam's voice rang in the officers' minds. Hearing this, the police looked toward Officer Jenny. She nodded, agreeing to follow the instruction. After all, a Leader Rank's strength was far greater than anyone else present. Additionally, since the opponent was a Psychic-type Pokémon, it was most appropriate for Alakazam to strike first.
Having prepared itself, Alakazam burst through the door. Psychic was released instantly. In the next moment, the shockwave from the psychic collision expanded, forcing back Officer Jenny and the others who tried to rush in. The interior of the room was tossed into total chaos.
"I'm going after them!"
After leaving those words, Alakazam used Teleport and disappeared. By the time Officer Jenny and the others recovered and rushed inside, they saw the four men lying haphazardly on the floor.
"They're all dead. Identities unknown."
After a brief check, they could only confirm the deaths. Detailed information would have to wait for the results of Alakazam's pursuit.
