Zoe:
Flashback:
"I am so happy," I purred like a kitten in front of Walkin.
"I am happy for you," he replied, though his tone was a little dry.
I had gotten married two days ago, but this was the first time I had seen Walkin since then.
He had left for work and missed my wedding.
At first, I was angry and upset with him.
In fact, I was so upset that I didn't even want to walk down the aisle.
When we were kids, we used to talk about getting married.
But it was only a game.
We played house a lot.
So when I didn't see my best friend on my wedding day, I was truly hurt.
"But you skipped my wedding. I want to hit you so bad," I fake-growled, even holding up my hands to show him my claws.
Instead of responding the way he used to, he only smiled.
There was no playful teasing, nothing.
"What is wrong with you?" I pouted, planting my hands on my waist as I watched him sadly.
