Chapter 334: Tang Yuehua
"Tang San?"
Hearing Tang San introduce himself, Tang Yuehua trembled. From this name, she thought of her second brother, whom she hadn't seen in nearly twenty years.
"What's wrong, miss?"
The little maid, Ping'er, noticed that her mistress was acting strange and anxiously shook her arm.
Tang Yuehua suddenly came back to her senses, pulling herself out of her memories. She glanced deeply at the back of Tang San as he left, and it seemed that he really resembled that person in some ways.
"It's nothing, maybe it's just my imagination. Let's go to Yue Xuan."
"Yes, miss."
Tang Yuehua convinced herself that she must have been too nostalgic for her second brother. What were the odds of meeting the child of her second brother in such a vast sea of people? Moreover, she had a feeling that she and Tang San would meet again.
Back at the small courtyard behind Shrek, Yu Xiaogang, who had been organizing some documents at the stone table, looked up as he heard footsteps and saw his disciple walk in, deep in thought.
"What's wrong, little San? Didn't you go to buy flower seeds?"
"Ah! Yes, teacher, here are the seeds."
Tang San took out the strelitzia seeds from his soul tool and shook them in front of Yu Xiaogang before continuing to ask:
"By the way, teacher, do you know about a place called Yue Xuan?"
Yu Xiaogang paused for a moment and then looked at his disciple with some confusion.
"Yue Xuan? Why are you suddenly asking about that?"
"It's a place that specializes in teaching noble etiquette, and they also teach music theory."
Thinking about the level of music knowledge the students there possessed, Yu Xiaogang seemed to understand why Tang San had asked about Yue Xuan.
"Are you planning to go there to study music theory?"
"Yes, Teacher Erlong is not a professional. To truly control my emotions, I need to dive deeper into it."
Upon hearing this, Yu Xiaogang nodded thoughtfully.
"You're right. If you want to go, then go. Although it's a place for the nobility, they truly excel in both etiquette and music theory."
Since Yu Xiaogang didn't object, Tang San felt reassured. It seemed that Yue Xuan didn't have too much of a connection to the various forces, so he put his doubts to rest.
"Got it, teacher. I'll go check it out tomorrow."
"Mm. I'm also helping you organize the data on soul beasts suitable for the fifth soul ring of your Blue Silver Grass. Your soul power has been stuck at the quasi-Soul King level for a while now. It's time to find a suitable soul ring."
"Thank you for worrying, teacher."
Tang San wasn't concerned that his teacher would mess up in selecting a soul ring. The first two soul rings that Yu Xiaogang had chosen for him were appropriate, and he didn't plan to overly rely on his Blue Silver Grass martial soul in the future. He trusted his teacher to make the right choices.
"This is the only thing I can do as your teacher. Don't mind it."
The next day, after watering the flowers and plants, Tang San went straight to Yue Xuan, following the direction Yu Xiaogang had given him.
Looking up, the decor of Yue Xuan resembled that of a school, which fit its purpose of teaching etiquette and music knowledge.
After finding the gatekeeper and stating his purpose, Tang Yuehua arrived shortly with Ping'er.
"Young master Tang, we meet again."
"Head of Yue Xuan, I wish to enter Yue Xuan to study music theory. I wonder if that would be convenient."
Tang Yuehua wasn't surprised by Tang San's visit. His attire didn't look like that of a typical noble, so his purpose for coming to Yue Xuan could only be to study music theory.
"Since young master Tang has such refined tastes, Yuehua naturally won't refuse. Please, follow me."
Normally, without a noble status, Tang San wouldn't have qualified to enter Yue Xuan, but for some reason, Tang Yuehua could always see a resemblance between Tang San and her long-lost second brother. After some hesitation, she agreed to let Tang San enter.
"Thank you."
Tang San politely cupped his hands and followed Tang Yuehua and Ping'er into Yue Xuan. The interior was even more luxurious, fitting the style of a noble academy. However, Tang San didn't mind. He wasn't there to interact with the nobles.
Tang Yuehua led him to a guest room used for receiving visitors, and then waved to Ping'er to leave.
"Young master Tang, may I ask, how are your elders doing?"
As soon as Tang San sat down, he froze, and the killing intent within him subconsciously began to surge. Tang Yuehua's question was too intrusive—his father's identity was sensitive, and how could he casually reveal it?
Tang San forcefully suppressed the rising killing intent, giving Tang Yuehua a deep look before replying:
"I am an orphan. I've never met my parents. Is it necessary to have a noble identity to attend Yue Xuan?"
"I see."
Upon hearing this, Tang Yuehua seemed somewhat disappointed. She hadn't meant to pry, but it was only because Tang San resembled her second brother in both appearance and name.
"Sorry, I misspoke. It's just that young master Tang bears many resemblances to an old acquaintance of mine."
"Who are you talking about?"
Hearing this, Tang San lost his usual calm, and the killing intent surged out of control once again. Now even Tang Yuehua could feel this cold killing intent emanating from him.
It was no wonder Tang San reacted this way. In this world, the only person who resembled him so much was Tang Hao, and now there was a chance to learn about his whereabouts. How could he remain calm?
"Young master Tang?"
Tang Yuehua seemed a bit frightened. How could someone so young exude such terrifying killing intent?
"Huh."
Tang San once again suppressed his killing intent, realizing he had been too impulsive.
"Sorry, it's just that your words reminded me of my parents, whom I never met. I lost control for a moment."
As the killing intent dissipated, Tang Yuehua also let out a sigh of relief. She then looked Tang San up and down carefully again. After a moment of hesitation, her longing for her second brother overtook her, and she bit her lip before speaking:
"Do you know Tang Hao and Ah Yin?"
"Bang."
Just as Tang San was about to sit back down after calming himself, he suddenly stood up again, knocking over the tea on the table in the process.
"Who are you? How do you know Tang Hao?"
Tang San's face was filled with vigilance, but his eyes also contained a trace of hope and expectation. He was desperate to know where Tang Hao had gone.
Seeing that Tang San did indeed recognize Tang Hao, Tang Yuehua felt somewhat relieved and even showed some uncontainable joy as she continued explaining:
"My name is Tang Yuehua, and Tang Hao is my second brother. If you know anything about him, please tell me. I would be eternally grateful."
"Second brother? Does that mean..."
Tang San gasped, almost blurting out "Aunt," but he swallowed the word. How could he know if this woman was just trying to extract information from him and then harm him?
"Could you show me your Haotian Hammer martial soul?"
Though her words could be false, the martial soul would never lie. If this woman truly possessed the Haotian Hammer, then what she said was likely true.
Seeing Tang San's expression change from surprise to suspicion, Tang Yuehua understood what he was thinking. She felt a wave of helplessness and calmly said:
"I don't have the Haotian Hammer martial soul. You must have heard of martial soul mutations, right? I am the possessor of a mutated martial soul, and it mutated in an undesirable direction. See for yourself."
With that, Tang Yuehua summoned her martial soul, the Wishful Ring. No soul rings appeared on it, and the fluctuation of soul power was around level nine.
