Chapter 162: Revisiting the Dimensional Heavenly Tome

After waving to everyone, Franklin returned to his room alone. Once the door closed, he leaned against it and slowly sat down on the floor.

Busy—he had been busy nonstop. He had finally gained the strength to deal with Vegeta, yet now an even larger obstacle named Frieza stood looming ahead.

Even if there was no immediate urgency, Frieza's existence was simply too overwhelming. He absolutely had to find a countermeasure as soon as possible.

If one day Frieza felt like it and, just to annoy the King of Deviluke, casually came to Blue Star and wiped it out on a whim, Franklin truly wouldn't have any way to stop him.

Even if the chance of that happening was small, prevention had to come first. Franklin slowly stood up, lay down on the bed, and let his consciousness sink into his spiritual sea.

There, floating quietly, was the Dimensional Heavenly Tome. He opened it.

The dimensional training space could raise his cultivation to the peak of the Core Formation stage as fast as possible, but even at that level, his strength would only reach 9999. That wasn't nearly enough. Even if he transformed into a Super Saiyan, his power would at best reach five hundred thousand.

Burning his own life force might bring him to five million, but he would still be far from Frieza's level.

Dimensional Summoning was broken in its own way, but the lifespan cost made it hard to use freely. Now that his cultivation was higher, he could choose the direction of the summon, but each use still cost eighty years of his life. Using it casually was too wasteful; it was clearly something to reserve for decisive moments.

The Guardian Sword was You Wange's true form. The only help she could provide were some shallow pieces of knowledge—and not many of them. Everything else was related to breakthroughs in sword cultivation.

Dimensional Travel had almost no use. Dragon Ball was already an ultra-high-spec world. Very few worlds contained anything that could significantly strengthen someone at that level.

In the One Piece world, Devil Fruits might be somewhat helpful, but in the face of absolute power, their usefulness was limited.

The abilities of Logia fruits could already be replicated through仙·Ninjutsu. Against individual powerful enemies, aside from a handful of top-tier fruits and the benefit of elementalization, the others didn't matter much.

The Zoan fruits' powerful regenerative ability wasn't needed either. With enough spiritual energy, Franklin could already fully recover within seconds. Once he reached the Blood Rebirth realm, he could literally regenerate from a drop of blood.

Paramecia-type fruits granted unique abilities, but significant power boosts were rare unless one reached awakening. After awakening, they could turn the surrounding environment into their own power—a frightening ability.

The Lightning Fruit would be extremely useful. So would the Light Fruit. A few top-tier Mythical Zoans were worth getting as well.

As for most Paramecia fruits? Franklin honestly didn't care. He didn't have the time or energy to develop complicated abilities.

After confirming this direction, Franklin continued thinking. According to One Piece rules, a person could only eat one Devil Fruit.

But Blackbeard, after eating the Darkness Fruit, somehow gained Whitebeard's Tremor Fruit as well. If Franklin went to that world, he needed to understand how that worked.

The Darkness Fruit was essential. The Lightning Fruit and the Light Fruit had already been eaten, their timelines unclear.

To obtain those abilities, he would need to kill their current users and extract the powers. The timing of the Darkness Fruit wasn't clear either, but it should have been eaten within a year before Ace's death.

So when exactly did Ace die?

Franklin squeezed his temples. He realized he had absolutely no memory of the exact time. The only thing he remembered was the Paramount War.

"This is ridiculous. Without a definite timeline, how am I supposed to precisely pinpoint the moment to enter the One Piece world? Am I supposed to go to another world that actually has the One Piece anime just to check the air date?"

Talking to himself, Franklin felt speechless. Pushing that idea aside, he continued searching for other anime worlds that could provide rapid strength increases.

The Hōgyoku from Bleach was also high-spec, but he had watched Bleach even longer ago. His only memory was Ichigo fighting Aizen after Aizen fused with the Hōgyoku—a battle that shook the heavens.

From the Naruto world, he had already absorbed most of Madara's memories, gaining nearly all ninjutsu knowledge. Even without Hashirama cells, with higher-grade spiritual energy, he could use large-scale Wood Release. With his current reserves, he could use Deep Forest Emergence twice—good for large enemies or clearing mobs.

True Several Thousand Hands, however, was terrifyingly energy-intensive. With his current storage, he would be drained dry instantly just to activate it.

Thinking about ways the Naruto world could drastically increase power, Franklin recalled the Divine Tree Fruit and the divine bloodline within ninja bodies.

Eating the fruit might drastically increase his strength quickly. But he had no idea when exactly the fruit matured.

This made him think of the soul fragment of Madara that You Wange had erased.

According to Madara's memories, the dying Madara had held a torn page of the Dimensional Heavenly Tome:

[Dimensional Soul Division Technique]

According to those memories, this page allowed the user to split off a strand of their soul.

This soul fragment would remain connected with the main body across dimensions—sharing thoughts, consciousness, and memories regardless of distance.

Right now, obtaining the [Dimensional Soul Division Technique] was the top priority. Once he had that page, he could send a soul fragment to other worlds to complete tasks. That would make all future work exponentially easier.

He skipped past the pill bottles and the phantom entries. He paused on Ikaros' data page for a few seconds.

Then he finally reached the last page—the task list. His expression grew serious.

[Task List]

Basic Tasks: Spirit, Body, Soul

Spirit: Increase spiritual cultivation

Body: Increase physical cultivation

Soul: Increase soul strength (Forbidden)

——

Permanent Task: Interworld Journey (Spirit Stones)

Task Rank: E- to EX

Interworld Journey: After accepting, three random tasks will appear matching the user's power level. The user may choose one to complete, and completion grants large amounts of spirit stones.

He flipped to the back of the task page and found another entry:

[Designated Task]

Task Rank: E- to EX

Designated Task: The user may choose the destination world, the specific time, or a specific objective for precise dimensional travel.

Each chosen option consumes one hundred years of the user's lifespan by default. The reward for completing the task is spirit stones converted back into lifespan.

"Hmm…"

Seeing the Designated Task system, Franklin didn't know whether to feel troubled or excited.

It was exactly what he needed—yet the lifespan cost made it hard to swallow.
