Eric looked at the motionless Batman and said in an unhurried tone, "Communicating with you through a screen before was a bit awkward. Now, communicating face-to-face feels much better."
"How did you know about this place?"
Batman continued to ask Eric.
"Because I was wandering around Gotham and saw the Bat-signal, which led me to your appearance. I thought you'd be more cautious and wouldn't be lured out by something like that, but I found I underestimated your habit and so-called sense of responsibility. Now, Batman, hand over the documents you have."
Eric's expression turned somewhat cold as he extended his hand to Batman.
"I won't do that."
Batman shook his head, "Don't try to rob me. The moment I touched the documents, I prepared to destroy them immediately if they were lost from my hands. You can see whether your super speed is faster, or my hand speed is faster."
As he spoke, he slowly moved the documents towards his waist.
Bang!
No sooner had he finished speaking than he took a heavy blow to the chest, immediately feeling a sharp pain and flying backward.
Batman's body crashed heavily to the ground, the immense impact acting on his armor and then transferring to the floor, causing the originally smooth floor to shatter with a loud bang.
Dust immediately filled the air and spread around.
Eric appeared before Batman as if teleporting, looking expressionlessly at Batman, who was lying on the ground, clutching his chest and coughing. He bent down, grabbed him, and lifted him up.
"I will forgive some people, and I will try to show some of my sympathy, but unfortunately, you are not among them right now!"
Shaking his head, Eric threw him forward.
With a thud, Batman's armor hit the wall, directly smashing a hole in it, penetrating the wall, and entering another room.
"Ugh!"
Spitting out a mouthful of blood, Batman staggered to his feet and immediately flung out his grappling gun, hooking onto the distant wall of a building outside the glass curtain wall, attempting to pull himself away from the location.
Smash!
Accompanied by the sound of breaking glass, Batman's body rapidly left the spot.
At the same time, Eric also entered the room.
Quick-witted, Batman immediately threw the Batarang in his hand.
Whoosh! Whoosh!
The Batarangs flew rapidly towards Eric's position!
But Eric caught all of them in his hand.
However, before Eric could continue his pursuit, the Batarangs in his hand exploded with a roar.
Boom!
A violent explosion rapidly swept through the entire room.
Flames and thick smoke spread out from the room.
Clutching his chest, Batman swung through the air, looking towards the exploding room. However, before he could let out a sigh of relief, a red beam of Heat Vision came at him.
The target of the Heat Vision was not him, but the rope in his hand.
The rope was melted by the Heat Vision, and Batman immediately lost his tool for "flying" in the sky, only able to unfurl the "Bat-cape" behind him and glide downwards through the air.
The whooshing of the wind sounded in his ears. Batman endured the pain in his body, gliding through the air, while looking towards the exploding room.
He knew that this explosion wouldn't affect the other party for too long. At this moment, Homelander was like a beast lurking in the night, ready to launch a fatal blow at any time.
Enduring the severe pain in his chest and back, he took a filter from his utility belt and put it in his mouth, then threw a special smoke bomb onto the ground.
This type of smoke bomb, during its volatilization, would refract air particles and light waves, causing strong interference with human vision.
Although he didn't know how effective this smoke bomb would be against Eric, it was a matter of life and death, so he could only reveal all his cards.
Gliding into the street where smoke had been pre-arranged, Batman prepared to escape using the cover of the smoke.
But he didn't expect that the moment he flew into the smoke, he saw a powerful beam of Heat Vision, radiating an intense aura, rushing towards him.
In a moment of extreme peril, he had no choice but to raise his arms and use the gauntlets on his forearms to block the impact of the Heat Vision.
After all, this was the most robust part of his entire armor.
Sizzle!
The Heat Vision instantly blasted through his gauntlets, and Batman lost his balance, falling from the air with a thud onto the ground.
The ground roared as he hit it, the flagstones instantly shattering, and his body smashed a large crater into the ground.
Lying on the ground, Batman felt a splitting headache, and every joint in his body seemed to have fractured.
Foam of blood spilled from his mouth, as if he was about to faint at any second.
Biting the tip of his tongue to prevent himself from losing consciousness, he used all his strength to stand up from the ground, seeing Eric slowly descending from the sky.
His cape melted into the night, and his entire being completely merged with the chilling darkness of the night.
"Two broken ribs, a fractured left arm. You can't even stand up right now, Batman. Are you still going to oppose me?"
Eric asked him coldly.
"Cough, cough."
Coughing with his hand over his mouth, blood flowed from his nostrils and mouth, his face mask shattered, revealing half of his blood-stained face. Batman said with difficulty to Eric: "I've never changed! My stance!"
