Chapter 307 - Chapter 307: Corrosion of the Plane’s Core

Chapter 307: Corrosion of the Plane's Core

All of Douluo Continent's top factions were secretly maneuvering, while at the eye of the storm—Shrek Academy—an unexpected visitor arrived.

Buzz!

Outside the Sea God Pavilion, space rippled as Tang San's divine projection slowly took form.

His golden godly armor shimmered beneath the sunlight, every engraved rune radiating sanctity and majesty.

His descent made no disturbance—time itself seemed frozen around him.

When he arrived, he did not appear in Shrek's main square.

Instead, following a familiar pulse of life energy, his figure flickered and appeared before the Golden Tree outside the Sea God Pavilion.

Tang San gazed at the tree, his expression softening into a gentle smile.

As his projection approached, the Golden Tree's branches trembled though no wind stirred.

Its golden leaves glowed faintly, welcoming him with a silent radiance.

"Mother."

Tang San's voice was quiet as his form turned into a stream of light, merging into the trunk of the tree.

Inside extended a space woven entirely from life energy.

At the center floated a figure made of blue-gold light—it was Ah Yin, the Blue Silver Emperor's source consciousness.

"Little San."

Ah Yin slowly opened her eyes, her gaze kind yet tinted with worry. "You've come. I fear Douluo Continent is on the verge of upheaval."

Tang San stepped forward, sensing the faint instability within her energy and frowned. "Mother, even from the Divine Realm I felt fluctuations in the power of faith. Has it already reached your core as well?"

Ah Yin sighed softly, waving her hand to reveal a translucent image before them.

In it, faith energy across the continent streamed like flowing rivers, converging toward Shrek Academy.

But amidst that flow, thin gray threads intertwined, stealthily seeping into the Golden Tree's core along the same path.

"See for yourself," Ah Yin said solemnly. "The faith energy has become unstable—especially since something called the Human Altar appeared. That object has intensified the corruption."

"The altar not only collects faith energy—it emits an odd force that gnaws at my source. Part of my life essence has already been stripped away."

Tang San's eyes fixed on the vague image of the altar, turning cold. "The Human Altar? Who created it?"

"It was presented by the Star Auction Pavilion—a supposed treasure meant to unite human faith and resist the soul beasts' threat."

Ah Yin's voice grew heavy. "But I sense that the altar's core connects to some place I cannot perceive. The Star Auction Pavilion itself is shielded by immense power—my consciousness cannot penetrate it."

At the mention of the Star Auction Pavilion, fury surged in Tang San's gaze.

He hated that place more than anything. All his current misfortunes stemmed from that mysterious organization.

And now they dared to tamper with the very foundation of Douluo Continent itself—how could he not rage?

The Pavilion was known for trading rare treasures and aiding humanity in past battles against the soul beasts, earning universal praise.

Tang San, however, did not believe in altruism.

After a moment of silence, he asked, "Mother, can you suppress the corruption for now?"

Ah Yin shook her head. "That force is fused with the altar's energy. As long as the altar operates, the corrosion won't stop."

"If the altar is destroyed, the entire web of faith energy will collapse, and the Continent's plane-source will fall into chaos. The result would be catastrophic."

"Despicable!"

Tang San's expression darkened. He hadn't expected the Pavilion's plan to reach such depth—binding Douluo Continent's plane core with human faith itself.

Now, destroying the altar or letting it persist would both bring disaster.

For a moment, Tang San was at a loss, uncertain how to proceed.

"Is there more information about this Human Altar?"

He steadied his emotions, determined to sort through the facts.

This artifact's aberration was too dangerous—it could threaten not only Douluo Continent but even the Divine Realm.

Ah Yin hesitated. "I only know what I've overheard. Perhaps you can speak directly to Shrek Academy's leaders."

Tang San nodded after a long thought. "That will suffice."

Under normal circumstances, his descent to the mortal plane should remain unnoticed.

But for the safety of both Douluo Continent and the Divine Realm, he was willing to bend the laws this once.

"Very well," Ah Yin replied softly. With a wave of her hand, golden ripples of energy spread throughout the space.

Moments later, the energy within the Golden Tree stirred, drawing in two ancient consciousnesses—Mu En and Xuan Zi.

As their awareness stabilized, both immediately recognized the familiar divine aura beside Ah Yin.

Seeing Tang San's unmistakable figure and feeling the oppressive grandeur radiating from him, they were both stunned.

"Greetings, Lord Sea God!" they exclaimed, bowing reverently.

Though they were Ultimate Douluo, before a true deity they felt humble awe.

And this was not just any god—Tang San, the legendary founder of their legacy.

"No need for formality."

Tang San raised his hand lightly, a sigh escaping his lips. "I sensed great turbulence within the continent's destiny and came to investigate. The Snow Emperor and Evil Emperor have broken through—the strength of the soul beasts grows rapidly. You must be under tremendous pressure."

His tone was calm yet carried the weight of one who had witnessed countless crises.

Mu En smiled bitterly. "Indeed. With their rise, Shrek's strength alone can no longer hold the balance. Fortunately, we acquired the Human Altar from the Star Auction Pavilion—it offers a sliver of hope."

Tang San shook his head slowly. "The Divine Realm forbids direct interference with mortal affairs. Intervention would only bring greater consequences."

After a moment's pause, his voice deepened. "I'm already aware of the altar's existence. Tell me everything—its origin, and all you know about the Star Auction Pavilion."
