With a loud bang, the sound instantly awakened their rational minds!
Cecilia was already feeling both embarrassed and angry, and now hearing the pot explode made her instinctively bewildered.
Adrian was the first to react, pulling Cecilia from behind and shielding her at the counter.
"Cecilia, don't be afraid, it's just the water drying up."
The man let out a low cough and immediately went forward to turn off the kitchen appliances.
Thankfully, the appliances had good safety measures, and nothing major happened.
...
Cecilia was still frightened, she quickly jumped down from the counter and angrily retorted at Adrian.
"Look at you, I told you not to mess around, now look what happened, our meal is ruined."
"Cecilia, actually you've already made a tomato and egg stir-fry."
The man smiled understandingly at Cecilia.
"We can just make do with that for now."
!!!
How could this man have the nerve?!
