The water in the pot bubbled with steam, filling the air with a warm and strange aroma, making one eager to eat.
Cecilia Vaughn was about to answer what ingredients she had put in the pot when she unexpectedly heard a man's voice with a hint of amusement.
"Cecilia, more than the taste of the soup, I miss you."
The girl's face blushed instantly...
She didn't know since when, but whenever Adrian Law spoke even slightly deviantly, Cecilia, who used to not understand at all, now could directly grasp the man's deeper meaning.
...
The girl lowered her head uneasily, focusing on lifting the pot lid and using a spoon to stir the soup inside.
"Stop talking nonsense, I'm hungry even if you're not. You be good and sit in the living room. Once the meal is ready, I'll join you for dinner."
"..."
The man stubbornly wrapped his arms around Cecilia from behind, gently resting his head on her shoulder.
