"Huh? Empty?" Hua Yin was dumbfounded.
Just now, she had clearly seen Zhang Chongyuan place the two dessert plates she held into this box, and then cover it with a lid.
The box had been in Ke Le's arms the whole time, and there was no sign of her taking the desserts out.
"Where are the desserts?" Hua Yin asked Ke Le.
Ke Le feigned ignorance and said, matter-of-factly, "This servant does not know of any desserts. This box initially held the congratulatory gift my Lady Chongyuan gave to Lady Xiu Rong. Now the gift has been presented, so the box is empty."
"How could that be? Just now, this servant clearly saw Lady Chongyuan place two plates of desserts in the box. My mistress saw it too."
Hua Yin looked at Li Yuyu.
Li Yuyu was initially surprised, but then her gaze settled on Zhang Chongyuan's unchanged face, raising her eyebrows.
What a remarkable person, so interesting.
"Did Lady Xiu Rong look carefully?" Zhang Chongyuan asked in a calm tone.
