CHAPTER 29:
Walking up to his sons and men. Orion sees them all hard at work. Cranes and other machinery were being used to move and place large blocks of marble that would later be carved into pillars. The clicking of metal and the sound of chisels hitting the marble could be heard. "My son, where can I help you all in building our new home?" Orion asked a command trooper who was overlooking the construction.
Startled a little the command trooper took a knee and without looking up. "Father we would be honored if you help us in any way be it small or big it doesn't matter. Being here to help build our new home is more than enough help from you. We see it as an honor and reward to be building it alongside you. So please choose whatever you wish to help us with and we would be greatly appreciative."
"Alright then I will help where I can." Orion spent his time helping move giant heavy blocks of marble that even the dreadnoughts had trouble moving. Hestia then joined in hours later feeling bad not doing anything. She spent her time helping the guardsmen by either making them food or trying to help with carving wooden furniture. Granted doing pretty bad at the carving and other stuff. When it came to things out of her domain she wasn't that good.
The sun seemed to take a while to set that day. After countless hours of work and thousands of marines and guardsmen working on the project they manage to complete it in one day. A massive mansion like home. It contained separate baths and was designed in a greek mixed with gothic medieval style. The classic warhammer looks like a building just with a bit of greek put into it. It was white marble making it bright and easy to see. The more skilled chiseling marines made an image on top of the entrance. Showing hestia near a flame surrounded by sleeping dragons.
After the construction was finished the building made the orphanage look small. The children who were watching the construction now were running around the empty rooms and areas marveling at the sheer size of everything. Their small forms barely able to open the massive doors meant for the marines. Requiring a marine to accompany the children so they didn't hurt themselves trying to open the doors.
With the construction finished all that was left was the furnishing of the massive mansion. After all the people that constructed the building went to rest some of the guardsmen and marines celebrated the finished construction. On the other hand, the majority of the others wanted to rest after the long day of work. So after each marine drank some mead they all went to sleep. The next morning Orion decided to head into town and see what furnishing he could buy for the building. His sons and many of the guardsmen most likely going to go sleep and stay on the ships.
After waking up and getting ready Orion started walking into Orario. Going down the streets he found a building that had a sign of a bed and hammer. So he entered the door surprisingly big enough to fit him. After entering he was greeted by a wolf beastgirl. She has black hair and black ears and tail. Her body is human just having the wolf ears and tail.
"Welcome to the dens rest. What can I do for you? We have many beds for sale and also sell comfy blankets and pillows." Orion brought out a bag of gold coins and asked the receptionist. "How many full size beds can I buy with this? We just finished building our familiar home and wish to fill the rooms with beds." The receptionist carefully looked at the bag and said, "For an accurate number I would have to count the amount of coins. However i estimate it should be around half your bag to give the high quality beds while being affordable.
If you wish for the highest quality furniture and bedding depending on how big your familia home is i would guess it would take the whole bag for a large size home. I recommend looking at our furniture and telling us what bundle you want us to give you and the quantity you want." Orion nodded and proceeded to walk around. Looking at these square stages that showed different ways rooms could be furnished and the different styles. Each showing a different cost. The most cost effective one was designed for cheap and usability.
It didn't offer comfort. The more comfortable it was the more expensive it got. Then there was one in the middle. It offered a good amount of comfort and was worth the price. "Heh it's a goldie locks situation. The one in between both extremes is just the right one." After buying the beds and other furniture he left with carts full of the items. The carts being ones owned and driven by workers of the shop.
Heading back to the familia home a long line of carts could be seen coming to the giant marble mansion. After the carts dropped off the beds and other items Orion bought his sons lifted and put everything into the mansion. Decorating and giving a fancy look to their home. The rooms were no longer empty. In the main dining hall there was a long table that could house anyone regardless of size. The library now has bookshelves that can be filled with books.
Hestia was in her new office that has a door leading to her own room. Her office has an oak desk with golden ornate designs, a red and brown cushion chair, a couple of bookshelves and a table with two sofas for visitors. Hestia's room had a large fire pit in the middle of it. With a vent above it for the smoke. Her bed was a large queen size bed white painted wood with gold engravings and red covers with red pillows. With a large black comforter covering most of the bed. Hestia's room also has a mirror and other items to keep herself entertained.
Some drawers filled with painting or drawing supplies, others were filled with other home hobbies like knitting or sewing tools.
Hestia couldn't help but marvel and inspect her room and office for hours. Orion was occupied with something else. He was in his own office making sure things were getting ready for what he wanted to talk to Ouranos for. But right now he was getting ready for a raid. Not just any raid but a raid to set up a proper base in the floor 18 safe zone. For this he needed to prepare his men for it.
While Hestia, Lili and the children were having fun and relaxing since not much needed to be done by them. The marines and guardsmen taking over and doing most of the chores. Orion was on an aircraft to his main flagship. He called all his captains and commanders. Holding a meeting aboard his ship.
"Brother, it's been a long time since we last saw each other." Captain Rex said to his old friend and brother. "Yes it has been a long while. How has it been for you?" Captain Samson "Look at these two of the luckiest dragons here in the meeting room lucky me." Walking up to them was Captain Athol of the 3rd company. "Hello Athol, still cleaning the blood of xenos from your chain sword i take it?" Rex greeted Athol with a smile.
"Not half as much as the amount of blood I am sure Samson is cleaning after fighting the orks all the time." Athol joked. "Ha! Indeed brother, I still have trouble washing off the smell of their blood on my armor." Samson smiled in joy as he is now able to talk to his brothers once again.
"Come on, let's go inside the meeting room. I am sure father has waited long enough for us." All three of them enter the meeting hall. A large table with throne-like chairs for each captain. Their names are engraved on their own. "Ah my sons, you're finally here, take your seats." The three take their seats and the other 5 captains come in. Followed by 10 commanders.
"Now I called this meeting for a reason. I plan on making this world under our protection and rule. So I need to split the fleet." This was no surprise for the marines. They knew what their fathers plan would be once they saw the world. Orion looked at his sons and began explaining his plan. "I plan on spreading out our reach. I plan on sending 5 of our companies to make posts around the world. Each post will gather as much intel of the surrounding areas and then build forts in each area I place them in. Once the dungeon is fully conquered and destroyed or subjugated. We will start conquering the world." The captains of the fleet looked at Orion and nodded to the sound plan. A commander who was recently promoted raised his hand and asked after Orion pointed to him. "Father, why not just take over the nations and kingdoms? From what I have seen and read we are vastly more technologically advanced from them. Yes they have powerful spells and psykers.
Our weapons should be more than enough to take down any of them." Orion then smiled and looked around at the rest of his children. "Excelet question my son. The answer is simple. This world possesses artifacts and secret weapons capable of wiping platoons and whole companies of marines if we don't prepare for them. One example is these magic swords that were used on the elves. I have seen the damage they can cause and what they can do. I want us to find and locate other artifacts like them. Allowing us to counter and make preparations for if they are used on us." Hearing this the other marines in the room nodded in understanding and some just held a stoic face that was unreadable.
"Now I would like to hear everyone's opinion and suggestions for each company's positions. Here are my thoughts on where I would like everyone to be. If you have a better suggestion I would like to hear it." Orion then took out a massive map of Danmachi's world. "Here in the desert there are only two great nations I think could have an Artifact. One is the desert kingdom of gowl. The other is the empire of sand akas. I would like your company Athol to be here since they have spent the most time on desert planets and will have the most experience in this environment."
Athol nodded and replied "I agree father we will not let you down." Orion hearing this continued. "Here is the jungle and forest separated by this mountain. This jungle is empty and contains nothing but beast and wildlife. The forest to the right and opposite of the mountain is our priority. It is the elf kingdom. I want us to set up a hidden base in the middle of the jungle having it hide our presence and location. Kark you and your company have more experience on jungle planets this should be an easy mission for you. I want you to set up a foot hold in the jungle and another hidden base in the mountain.
Lastly is the human kingdoms that have gods giving their armies and military an edge. Over the ones around them. This kingdom here." Orion points to a large kingdom "Has the backing and is led by the god called Ares. Their numbers are large but we possess the man power and strength to overcome them easily. I however want to make sure they don't have any hidden artifacts up their sleeves or cards they pull on to take us by surprise and kill our men. That should be all of them. Lexious you will take this one. Samson and Arkus I want your two companies to be their backups in case they need extra help. The other half of our fleet will stay with me in Orario to fully explore and conquer the dungeon. Any questions or suggestions?" Orion looked around and saw all stay silent.
"Ok that is the end of this meeting, talk with each other or head back to your companies if you want. I will be heading back to our new home here in this new world." Orion left and could hear and see some of his sons leave while the rest stayed to talk with each other. After a while he made his way to an aircraft and headed back to the Hestia familia.
