Chapter 36 - Chapter 36: meeting, and a Date

POV: 3rd Person

Jay's Floating Castle

The courtyard was a chaotic mix of exhausted Devils, legendary dragons, and stunned Fallen Angels. Azazel, still trying to process the sheer absurdity of the gathering, walked toward the crystal petal bed where the two unconscious girls lay.

Before he could take a closer look, a frantic blur darted past him.

"Valerie?!"

Gasper Vladi, completely ignoring his aching muscles from the brutal twenty-fold gravity training, dropped to his knees beside the bed. Tears immediately streamed down the young dhampir's face as he gently grabbed the half-vampire girl's hand.

"Valerie! You're safe! You're actually here!"

Rias and Akeno quickly walked over, their expressions softening as they watched their timid Bishop weep with pure relief.

Serafall, meanwhile, floated closer to the second sleeping girl. She tilted her head, her magical-girl persona fading into the sharp, observant gaze of a Maou. She felt a strange, oceanic demonic power radiating from the girl.

"Jay-chan," Serafall called out, her voice serious.

"Who is this girl? Her magical signature… is it her?"

Jay, who had just materialized a cooking apron over his dark shirt, paused.

"That is Ingvild Leviathan. She is a descendant of the original Leviathan. I pulled her out of an enchanted slumber before a certain faction could use her powers for a rebellion."

Serafall nodded

Azazel, rubbing his temples, turned to ask Jay another question when his eyes landed on a woman sitting peacefully on a nearby bench, chatting with Akeno. The Governor General froze. His jaw practically unhinged.

"Wait... Shuri?!" Azazel choked out, pointing a trembling finger at the women.

"Shuri Himejima?! But you died! Baraqiel nearly burned down the human world mourning you!"

Shuri offered Azazel a polite, serene smile. "It is good to see you again, Governor. And yes, it appears I am quite alive, thanks to Jay-sama."

Azazel stared at Jay as if looking at a ghost.

"You are absolutely terrifying," Azazel muttered.

"I'm a guy who likes his peace," Jay corrected dryly.

"Now, all of you wait and Talk. I'm going to cook. We have a lot to discuss tonight, and I don't want anyone passing out from hunger."

An hour later, the grand dining hall was once again filled with the miraculous, strength-enhancing dishes made from heavily modified Toriko ingredients. Azazel, Tobio, and Lavinia were left completely speechless by the food, feeling their reserves expand just by chewing.

When the plates were cleared, Jay tapped his glass with a spoon. The ringing sound silenced the room instantly.

"Serafall," Jay said, his tone shifting into absolute business.

"Call Sirzechs and Ajuka. Tell them to come here immediately. It's an emergency."

Serafall nodded, pulling out a high-tier communication circle.

Jay then raised his hand. Space warped, creating a direct, localized portal to the newly restored Heaven System.

"Michael. Gabriel. Bring your escorts and step through. We are holding a meeting."

Within ten minutes, the dining hall had transformed into the most highly concentrated gathering of power in the universe.

Sirzechs Lucifer and Ajuka Beelzebub arrived, both looking immensely cautious as they took in the floating castle, the Heavenly Dragons, and the resurrected figures.

Through the holy portal, Archangels Michael and Gabriel stepped in, flanked closely by Vasco Strada, Griselda Quarta, Dulio Gesualdo, Xenovia, and Irina.

The leaders of the Three Factions looked at each other across the table, entirely unsure of how to proceed.

"Welcome to my home? Well let's begin the meeting," Jay commanded. He didn't raise his voice, but the absolute weight of his existence forced even Sirzechs and Michael to comply without a word.

"I brought you all here because what i found today," Jay began, leaning against the head chair.

"I am accelerating your peace treaty. But that is the least of your concerns."

Ajuka Beelzebub narrowed his eyes.

"What could be more pressing than the balance of the Three Factions?"

"The ExE world and bucnh ove multiversal threat," Jay answered bluntly.

The room went dead silent. Sirzechs and Ajuka exchanged alarmed glances.

"Evie Etoulde. The mechanical gods. The transmigrator etc," Jay continued, dropping classified lore that shattered their understanding of the cosmos.

"There is a mechanical world vastly superior to yours, and they will eventually breach this reality. If you continue fighting over old holy swords and broken pride, you will all be exterminated when they arrive. Hey like i mean it, in the future one of them kill great red with one swoop"

Michael leaned forward, deeply troubled.

"Are you saying an invasion is imminent?"

"Eventually," Jay said.

"But there is a more immediate threat. Transmigrators. Anomalies from outside this multiverse."

Jay briefly explained the intruder he had fought the night before—the man with the devouring system. He explained how the boundaries of reality were thinning due to the boredom of outer gods, and that malicious entities with 'cheats' would start slipping into their world.

"Listen to me very carefully," Jay warned, his voice turning cold.

"If you encounter an anomaly—someone with powers that defy your logic, who speaks of 'systems' or treating this world like a game—do not monologue. Do not try to capture them for research, Ajuka. You execute them on sight. If you let a devouring transmigrator grow, they will eat your pantheons whole. Ah contact other pantheons too because most likely global. And yeah be cautious at chinese phanteon"

A/N: sorry guys i have beef with dragon kingdom not chinese but dragon kingdom even if i myself have little blood but damn. huaxia people and what ever it was like damn they think its okay to rape hypnosis, rape, massive genocide and everything else.... many but not all of them but im pissed of.

The leaders absorbed the information, a cold dread washing over them. They weren't just fighting a localized war anymore; they were a tiny speck in a massive, dangerous multiverse.

"I will handle the major rifts if it happen serafall and the others can contact me," Jay assured them, his tone softening slightly to alleviate the panic.

"But I need your factions united and ready to handle the stragglers. Understood?"

"Understood," Sirzechs, Michael, and Azazel answered in unison.

"Good. Meeting dismissed fiuh," Jay declared.

As the leaders slowly filed out, still processing the existential dread they had just been handed, Azazel lingered behind with Lavinia and Tobio. Valina stood near them, her arms crossed.

"Valina," Azazel sighed, looking at his adopted daughter.

"Tell me you aren't still planning to infiltrate the Khaos Brigade. Not after all this."

Lavinia grabbed Valina's hands.

"Please, Valina-chan! You don't have to do it alone! Stay with us!"

Valina looked at her newly unlocked hands, then at Abygail, who stood quietly behind her.

"I have to," Valina said, her voice resolute.

"Rizevim Livan Lucifer is a monster. He has contingencies upon contingencies. If I don't dismantle his inner circle from the inside, he will strike when we least expect it. I have to protect my new family."

Azazel frowned, looking toward Jay for support.

Jay simply shrugged. "She's an adult. It's her life, her choice. You have my magic, Valina. You have Abygail's full power. Do whatever you want. And beside after this i will go back i will give you something so rest asured"

Valina nodded

The castle gradually quieted down as the guests settled into their respective quarters. I stood on the balcony, staring out into the artificial violet sky. The sheer amount of talking I had done today was exhausting.

"You look like you're carrying the weight of the sky, Jay-kun."

I turned. Elysia stood in the doorway, her pale pink hair catching the starlight. Her radiant, gentle smile was firmly in place, but her eyes held a genuine, soft concern.

I let out a quiet breath, my shoulders dropping slightly.

"I'm just tired of politics. Come here. Walk with me."

Elysia tilted her head playfully.

"Oh? Is the mysterious masked man asking a maiden out on a midnight stroll?"

"I'm asking you on a date," I corrected smoothly.

Elysia blinked, a faint, lovely dusting of pink appearing on her cheeks. "My, my. How direct."

I raised my hand, warping space. The violet sky and crystalline architecture of the castle dissolved, replaced by a breathtaking, vibrant explosion of color, lights, and music.

I had created a pocket dimension specifically for her. I modeled it entirely after the amusement park from the Elysian Realm—a place she hadn't seen yet in her timeline, but a place I knew resonated perfectly with her soul. Massive rollercoasters looped through a starry sky, brightly lit carousels spun slowly, and the smell of sweet treats filled the air.

Elysia gasped, her hands flying to her lips. Her eyes sparkled with absolute, unfiltered wonder as she took in the magical theme park.

"Jay-kun... this is... it's beautiful!" she spun around, her dress fluttering.

"Did you make this?"

"For you," I said, offering her my arm. "Come on. I think we've earned a break."

For the next few hours, we didn't talk about wars, stray devils, or outer gods. We were just two people at an amusement park. We rode the ferris wheel, played rigged carnival games that I effortlessly won for her using Thought Acceleration, and ate absurd amounts of cotton candy.

Elysia was a force of nature. She laughed constantly, teasing me at every opportunity, her bubbly, loving personality shining brighter than the neon lights around us.

Eventually, we ended up sitting on a bench overlooking a massive, glowing fountain. The park was quiet, the distant melody of a carousel playing softly in the background.

Elysia swung her legs slightly, looking at the water. Her teasing smile faded into something much softer, and much more vulnerable.

"Jay," she said quietly, dropping the '-kun' honorific. "Why do you do so much for me? You built this whole place... you carry everyone's burdens. Why?"

I looked at her, resting my elbows on my knees. It was time to be honest.

"Because I like you," I said plainly.

Elysia's breath hitched. She looked at me, her pink eyes wide.

"But to be honest i didnt think i worthy for you Elysia," I continued, my voice turning a little serious.

"I am not a hero. I'm not like you. You love the world unconditionally. You would sacrifice yourself to save humanity. I wouldn't."

I looked down at my hands. "I am selfish. My priority is the people I love. If I had to put the world on one side of a scale, and you, my mother, or my family on the other... I would burn the world to the ground without a second thought to keep you safe. I'm not the flawless savior everyone thinks I am."

Elysia stared at me, her expression unreadable for a long moment. Then, surprisingly, she frowned. She reached out and lightly smacked my arm

"Don't degrade yourself," Elysia said, her voice firm, tinged with genuine annoyance.

"You saved Akeno's mother. You saved Kiba's friends. You didn't have to, but you did. Stop calling yourself selfish just because your heart protects the ones closest to you first."

I chuckled softly, though it held no humor.

"There's more. I need to be completely honest if I'm going to confess to you. I'm a scumbag, Elysia."

She raised an eyebrow. "Oh?"

"In my world... I am already engaged," I admitted, bracing for the rejection.

"To an alien princess named Lala. I told her that I liked someone else—that I liked you. She gave me her blessing, she didn't mind sharing... but I know how it sounds. Asking you to be with me when I already have ties... and i like her too imeant it. I can't choose i'm greedy so greedy and possesive."

Elysia went incredibly still. The silence stretched between us, thick and heavy.

Then, she let out a soft, melodious giggle.

"Jay," she said, leaning closer, her eyes shining with amusement.

"I am a girl who loves the beauty of humanity. Do you really think I mind sharing love? Maybe? Like i like pretty girls too hehe"

I blinked behind my mask, genuinely stunned. "You... you don't mind?"

"I think you worry too much," she smiled warmly. Then, she reached out, her delicate fingers hovering just inches from my mask

"But I do have one condition."

I looked at her. "Please just say it."

"Why do you always wear this?" she asked softly.

"You say you like me, but you hide yourself from me."

I sighed, leaning back.

"Because of my face essentially emits a divine charm. It makes people fall in love with me unconditionally. I didn't want to take the mask off around you because I didn't want to force you. I wanted you to like *me*. The guy underneath. Not the face."

A/N: Fir some reason if jay not in his world his charm will be as much as powerful as it should was... and when he is in his world the world will help to filter it so it not so excessive

Elysia pouted, puffing her cheeks in a breathtakingly cute display of defiance.

"I am Elysia! I am not going to be brainwashed by a pretty face. Let me be the judge of that."

I hesitated for a second. Then, slowly, I reached up, unclasped the straps, and pulled the mask away.

For the first time since she met me, my face was entirely exposed. The sharp, refined features, the crystalline blue eyes, the stark white hair. The absolute, conceptual peak of aesthetic existence.

Elysia stared at me.

Slowly, her pale skin turned a brilliant, aggressive shade of crimson. Her eyes widened, her lips parted slightly, and she immediately slapped both hands over her cheeks.

"O-Oh..." Elysia squeaked, completely losing her usual composed, teasing grace. She looked away rapidly, her heart pounding visibly against her chest.

"T-That's... um. Not bad."

I couldn't help it. A genuine, wide smirk spread across my face.

"Hmm?" I teased, leaning just an inch closer. "You love teasing everyone else, dropping romantic lines all day. But the second it gets turned on you, you melt. Heh glass canon."

"H-Hmph!" Elysia pouted, glaring at me through her fingers, her face still bright red.

"Shut up! You warned me it was divine charm!"

She took a deep breath, steeling her resolve. She dropped her hands, leaned forward, and quickly pressed her soft lips against my cheek.

She pulled back just as fast, turning her head away to hide her fiercely blushing face.

"T-That's all you get for now! I accept your confession, but you don't get anything else!"

I laughed—a real, unburdened laugh that felt completely foreign to me. I reached into my coat pocket and pulled out the small, velvet box I had prepared earlier.

I popped it open. Resting inside was the thin rhodium ring, adorned with micro-roses and pale pink crystals that glimmered like a rainbow in the dim light.

Elysia gasped, her blush deepening as she looked at the beautiful craftsmanship.

I took the ring out, gently taking her left hand.

"I know it's fast," I said softly, looking into her beautiful pink eyes.

"And I know we have multiversal wars and chaotic gods to deal with. But... will you marry me, Elysia?"

Elysia looked at the ring, then at me. Her teasing persona was entirely gone, replaced by a woman deeply, genuinely moved.

"I do," she whispered, her voice trembling slightly.

I slid the ring onto her finger. It fit perfectly.

"It's fine if you're still easily flustered," I smiled, intertwining my fingers with hers.

"We can take it slow."

For the first time in a thousand years, as I sat on that bench with Elysia, the multiverse and its problems felt very, very far away.
