The hulking metal behemoth was none other than the legendary Destroyer, of course.
The other figure was Vision, the most powerful Avenger in their current lineup.
As for the rest of the Avengers, such as Captain America, Black Widow, and Hawkeye Barton, they had only just received Nick Fury's notification and were still in the process of coordinating.
They hadn't had time to deploy any forces.
Thor was still in Asgard, and none of them were on the scene.
Even so, dealing with Kaecilius and his ilk should be no problem.
*Whoosh!*
*Whoosh!*
Under Strange's watchful gaze, Tony and Vision didn't hesitate for a moment. They stepped through the portal and landed beside him.
"Just the two of you?" Strange glanced at them, a hint of disappointment in his expression.
"The two of us are more than enough!" Tony replied confidently, as if Kaecilius and his forces were beneath his notice.
"Destroyer Tony Stark?"
Kaecilius and his followers, who had been charging furiously towards Strange, froze in their tracks.
Their feet stopped instinctively, leaving them rooted to the spot.
The group exchanged bewildered glances, their surprise palpable.
*It made sense for Kamar-Taj's mages to call for reinforcements, but how did they even manage to summon the Destroyer?*
*Kamar-Taj is a reclusive organization!*
*Since when did they have such close ties with other superheroes?*
"Wow, how many days have you guys been awake?" Tony's venomous remark was so biting it made people want to punch him. "I just happen to know a fantastic eye cream that's excellent for dark circles. Highly recommend it to you all."
Kaecilius and his followers, having absorbed Dormammu's power, all sported comically dark circles under their eyes.
"You actually managed to summon the Destroyer to help? This isn't Kamar-Taj's style," Kaecilius said, glancing at Strange with genuine surprise.
"That's right. This is my style."
Strange nodded, his confidence growing with the support of Tony and Vision.
"Destroyer Tony Stark."
Kaecilius ignored Strange, refocusing his attention on Tony. "I don't know what your relationship is with this 'Mr. Strange,' but I sincerely hope you don't get involved in this mess. This is Kamar-Taj's affair, and it has nothing to do with you."
*Nothing to do with me?*
Tony shook his head, his voice ringing with conviction. "You're trying to summon Dormammu to destroy Earth. That concerns me, and it concerns everyone on this planet!"
Kaecilius's brow furrowed instantly, a look of genuine surprise flashing across his face.
*Tony Stark knows more than I thought!*
"You know Dormammu?" Kaecilius stared at Tony in astonishment.
Even within Kamar-Taj, few were aware of such matters, let alone an outsider.
"Of course," Tony blurted out without hesitation. "The Dimensional Lord of the Dark Dimension—a madman who brings darkness and death to the world."
"I think you're mistaken," Kaecilius began to indoctrinate Tony with his deranged ideology. "Dormammu doesn't bring death. On the contrary, he offers us eternal life! Therefore, Dormammu isn't our enemy—he's our savior!"
He went on and on, spouting nonsense about how wonderful and magnificent Dormammu's teachings were.
"Do you know what you sound like right now?" Tony remained unmoved. "A fanatic cultist brainwashed by Dormammu! Look at the state you've become—I actually pity you, I really do!"
"Is that so?" Kaecilius cut to the chase, a cold glint flashing in his eyes. "And I, feel pity for you!"
Before he even finished speaking, Kaecilius made a sweeping gesture with both hands.
*Click-clack-clack!*
A continuous sound of objects colliding and shifting began to ring out.
The surrounding world seemed to transform like rapidly shifting and reassembling building blocks, surging and transforming at breakneck speed.
The ground stretched endlessly, the rooftops soared skyward, and the confined space expanded rapidly.
The sky and earth before them churned and shifted with dizzying speed.
This was truly a world-altering transformation!
"This..."
Even Tony couldn't help but freeze in astonishment.
He knew the mages of Kamar-Taj were formidable, and that Kaecilius was a top-tier mage.
But to reshape reality with a mere wave of his hand—wasn't that pushing it a bit too far?
Still, for Tony, who could fly freely, this display was ultimately more flashy than practical.
After all, his Iron Man Armor transcended the limitations of space.
He and Vision took to the air the instant the surrounding space began to warp.
Strange, however, was immediately thrown into chaos.
But Tony had no time to attend to Strange.
Kaecilius had already led his disciples in a swift charge toward Tony and his group.
"Alright!"
Tony didn't waste any time. He raised his hand, and a miniature missile shot out, streaking toward Kaecilius.
But was Kaecilius so easily dealt with?
With a casual flick of his wrist, he drew a circle in the air, and a portal suddenly materialized before the missile.
The miniature missile plunged into the portal, only to emerge behind Tony and begin its attack.
"Boss, watch out!"
Jarvis's warning rang in Tony's ear as the Iron Man Armor immediately dodged.
The missile slammed into the wall, collapsing half of it in an explosion.
*Crack!*
At that moment, one of Kaecilius's disciples whipped his hand forward, conjuring an energy whip that wrapped around Tony's metal body.
A cold smirk spread across the disciple's face as he yanked the whip downward, trying to drag Tony from the air.
Tony stumbled as he was pulled off balance.
*Whoosh!*
Seizing the opportunity, Tony's Iron Man Armor sprayed blazing flames from its hands and feet, propelling him toward his opponent.
In the blink of an eye, he was in front of the man.
He threw a devastating punch.
But the man conjured a magical shield, blocking Tony's fist.
*Bang!*
However...
A bullet shot out from the shoulder of the iron giant, striking the man directly in the forehead!
The man had no time to react before Tony finished him off.
Tony's expression remained unchanged as he soared toward the other mages, continuing his ruthless assault.
*Sizzle!*
Meanwhile...
Vision hovered arrogantly in the air, the Mind Stone on his forehead unleashing a powerful energy attack.
The blast swept across the mages, their attempts to dodge proving futile.
Even those who conjured magical shields couldn't withstand the onslaught for long, being swept away by Vision's attack within seconds.
How could these low-level mages possibly stand a chance against Vision?
*Sizzle, sizzle, sizzle!*
During the battle, some mages conjured magical blades and hurled them at Vision.
But...
Vision didn't even bother to phase out, completely ignoring the attacks and letting them strike him.
He remained utterly unaffected.
Meanwhile, Strange had recovered and joined the fray, launching his own assault on Kaecilius's disciples.
The full-scale battle had erupted.
However, unlike the original film where Strange was initially overwhelmed, this time the Avengers held the advantage from start to finish.
After all, the combination of Tony and Vision was formidable.
Kaecilius's face darkened, as if he'd been slapped across the face repeatedly.
*This is bad!*
The situation was dire.
They were no match for Tony Stark and the others!
Especially that robot Tony had brought—it was utterly invincible!
With these two present, Kaecilius had no chance of destroying the London Sanctum.
After all, how long had the battle even been raging?
Half of his disciples had been slaughtered!
"Retreat!" Kaecilius immediately ordered his remaining disciples and raised his hand, preparing to open a portal.
*Whoosh!*
But before he could even complete the gesture, a blindingly intense beam of light shot across the battlefield.
Forced to abandon the portal, Kaecilius conjured a magic shield to block the attack.
The shield held, but Vision's energy beams continued to barrage him as he closed the distance.
"Stop him!"
Seeing this, Kaecilius's disciples frantically attacked Vision, trying to aid their master.
But Tony Stark and Strange were no pushovers.
They intercepted every one of them.
Vision reached Kaecilius.
*Clang!*
As Kaecilius parried Vision's blows, he launched a magical attack.
But at that moment, Vision's body turned ethereal!
The spell passed straight through him, and his magic shield proved useless.
He could block the energy attacks, but not the man himself.
*Bang!*
Vision ignored everything and punched Kaecilius square in the jaw.
With a dull thud, Kaecilius flew backward like a cannonball, crashing hard to the ground.
He lay there, motionless.
Kaecilius had been the strongest of the group, and with him defeated, the others were no match.
They fell quickly, either incapacitated or killed.
In the end, all enemies were subdued, and the crisis from Dormammu was temporarily averted.
Looking at the unconscious Kaecilius on the ground, both Tony and Strange couldn't help but secretly breathe a sigh of relief.
"Is this the best Kamar-Taj's top mages can do?" Tony scoffed with a smug smirk, his tone dripping with arrogance. "Not all that impressive."
*Hiss!*
Just then, a golden Space Gate materialized.
"Strictly speaking, he hasn't been part of Kamar-Taj for a long time," a voice replied.
The Ancient One stepped through the Space Gate, her figure emerging from the golden portal.
She glanced at the fallen Kaecilius and shrugged slightly.
To see him reduced to this state was truly unexpected.
"Excuse me, but who exactly are you?" Tony asked, his eyes fixed on the Ancient One.
This bald woman before him seemed far from ordinary.
"She is the Sorcerer Supreme, the Ancient One," Strange immediately introduced.
*The Ancient One!*
Tony's pupils contracted sharply.
*The super-powerful being Zhou Cheng claimed was on par with Odin... has she finally revealed herself?*
*I never would have imagined she'd be such a slender woman!*
"Thank you for capturing this traitor for Kamar-Taj, but I'll be taking him with me."
The Ancient One paid Tony no mind as she calmly approached Kaecilius.
"He's our prisoner. I should have the right to deal with him, shouldn't I?" Tony retorted, his tone immediately turning irritable.
"Not this time," the Ancient One replied, her voice still serene and casual as she effortlessly conjured a Space Gate.
"Hey!" Tony protested.
*Even if you're some bald big shot, you can't just bully people like this!*
The billionaire immediately moved to intercept the Ancient One.
But with a casual wave of her hand, the Space Gate shifted, engulfing both her and Kaecilius within its swirling vortex.
And then they vanished.
Both she and Kaecilius disappeared without a trace, leaving Tony standing there, utterly bewildered.

Zhou Cheng, of course, was unaware of the events unfolding at the London Sanctum.
At that moment, he was enthusiastically touring the X-Men world of 1973.
Though the facilities of this era were extremely primitive, utterly incomparable to those of the 21st century in terms of functionality, the mindset was entirely different.
"Breaking news: At approximately 1:27 PM, the Pentagon was attacked by unidentified armed personnel. Twenty-four people have been injured so far, with no fatalities reported at this time."
"The White House has yet to issue an official statement, but sources indicate that multiple departments have formed a joint investigation team to conduct a comprehensive inquiry into the matter..."
Zhou Cheng, eating in an inconspicuous restaurant, was immediately drawn to this news.
The Pentagon was attacked?
If he remembered correctly, Magneto was being held in a secret prison within the Pentagon!
Given the era, it seemed this must have been the work of Charles, Wolverine, and Quicksilver.
Zhou Cheng suddenly felt he had a clear understanding of the situation.
Subconsciously, he focused his thoughts and recorded them in his diary:
The Pentagon has been attacked, and Magneto was rescued by Professor X and the others!
It seems the Wolverine of fifty years in the future has traveled back in time, and the operation to reverse the future has officially begun.
However, with Magneto involved, this operation is bound to be far from smooth.
This is Magneto, after all—one of the most radical and extreme mutants.
Back in Cuba, he tried to use nuclear weapons to attack humanity, but Professor X ultimately stopped him.
How can you expect someone like that to cooperate willingly?
