Chapter 287 - Phoenix Force, World-Destroying Power, A Thanos-Level Snap!

"TRN414!"

"Is this the universe designation for the X-Men world Satan traversed?"

Soon, Playboy's attention was completely captivated by this code.

Tony had previously asked Charles for the designation of Satan's universe, hoping to gain a deeper understanding of it for further analysis and judgment.

But unfortunately, at that time, Charles didn't believe in the existence of the Multiverse, let alone know his own universe's designation.

Playboy naturally received no useful intelligence.

Fortunately, now Satan had provided the answer.

And this designation itself offered some clues.

After all, the Diary had mentioned numerous Marvel-based parallel universes, many of which began with the abbreviation "TRN."

For example:

* **TRN666:** A universe where Cable used Pym Particles to shrink the Planet Eater.

* **TRN877:** The universe of Star-Lord T'Challa.

* **TRN889:** A universe where a corrupted Doctor Strange destroyed the entire cosmos.

* **TRN893:** A universe ravaged by a zombie pandemic caused by a quantum virus.

Thus, it was confirmed: the TRN-series universes were indeed parallel universes within the Marvel framework.

Moreover, according to the diary's spoilers, the previous TRN-series universes were all branches that emerged after the death of the time-traveling conqueror Kang.

So, was the X-Men Universe that Satan was currently traveling to also created in the same way?

Tony immediately reached the same conclusion.

"The Avengers?"

Charles, facing another diary, once again wore a bewildered expression.

He didn't have any objections to Erik being a major villain requiring the entire team to defeat; he would have supported it with both hands and feet.

But when had Erik ever clashed with the Avengers?

Judging by the diary's tone, the Avengers were clearly a mutant organization!

And not just any low-level group—at least as powerful as the X-Men he had once assembled.

How had he never heard of this organization?

And its members like Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor? Charles had never heard of them either.

So, what kind of organization was this?

And what about the code name TRN414? Wasn't that the universe designation the Destroyer had mentioned earlier?

Charles almost burst out laughing.

*Numbering the universes?*

*What a waste of time!*

*This is utterly pointless, as if there are so many universes that they can't be distinguished without numbering them.*

Charles was startled.

It seemed Zhou Cheng, the owner of this diary, truly claimed to be from another universe!

That guy must have been driven a little crazy by his mental abilities!

And the Fifth-Tier Phoenix? Well, she's undeniably a bug-tier existence.

She's basically the Wanda Maximoff of the Avengers.

The Phoenix Force is no less formidable than Wanda's Chaos Magic—a terrifying power capable of destroying the world.

Even Professor X fears that force, only able to erect a Mental Barrier to restrict her use.

During the battle against Apocalypse, she only needed to partially awaken to instantly kill him.

And before that? The combined might of the X-Men—Professor X, Cyclops, Quicksilver, Beast, Mystique, and others—were all beaten to a pulp by Apocalypse!

But once the Phoenix Force erupted, the tide of battle instantly reversed!

In that state, perhaps only Dark Wanda could stand against the Phoenix, right?

"Just as I suspected!"

"There's a Fifth-Tier above Fourth-Tier!"

The Playboy's expression shifted immediately. His earlier speculation had been correct.

Though both Fourth-Tier mutants, Professor X and Magneto, were already formidable.

Especially Professor X—with his equipment, he could kill everyone on Earth.

But to be honest, they still fell short compared to the truly top-tier Avengers.

After all, the top-tier Avengers could destroy universes and operate on a multiversal scale.

And what was the Diary's tone?

"The X-Men are in no way inferior to the Avengers!"

Therefore, there must be individuals within the X-Men who truly stood at the pinnacle of the pyramid.

And indeed, this proved to be the case.

Fourth-Tier was not the highest level within the X-Men; there was also a Fifth-Tier above it.

Phoenix!

This was the Fifth-Tier Mutant explicitly mentioned in the Diary.

Tony's attention was immediately drawn to this moniker, and he began to analyze its implications.

First was the meaning of the nickname itself.

In American culture, the phoenix was a mythical bird, a composite of the Assyrian immortal bird and the Egyptian sun bird, symbolizing immortality.

Even without considering Phoenix's abilities, the nickname alone revealed her true caliber.

The Diary even used the word "bug" to describe her, and directly compared her to Wanda.

Playboy now had a clear understanding of Phoenix's true power level.

"The Phoenix Force!"

Tony's gaze sharpened once more.

*Without a doubt, this must be the source of the Phoenix's power. No wonder she's called the Phoenix.*

Though the Playboy had never heard of the Phoenix Force before, how could a power named after the mythical bird be weak?

The Diary had already stamped its approval—a power fully comparable to Chaos Magic!

Enough to destroy heaven and earth!

*It seems the Diary was right. These X-Men are truly no less formidable than the Avengers.*

*They even have someone of this caliber.*

"Phoenix?"

"Who's that?"

Charles, before another Diary, wore a bewildered expression.

The Diary had practically elevated this person to the heavens, describing her as far more formidable than both him and Erik.

*Like a nuclear bomb.*

*But how could such a powerful Mutant have remained unknown to me?*

Of course, he wouldn't have heard of her. The Jean in question was still just an ordinary girl, completely unnoticed by Charles.

During the incident where Magneto overturned the football stadium, this same girl had trembled in fear watching the "Great Demon King" Magneto unleash his power in the sky!

Then there was Apocalypse.

Another Mutant Charles had never heard of.

Even so, the name alone was enough for Charles to deduce a great deal.

After all, this was someone named after the "Apocalypse" from the Bible!

What did "Apocalypse" mean?

Catastrophe, the end of the world!

So, this Apocalypse was someone who would bring about an apocalypse upon humanity, just like the one described in the Bible?

The simple word vividly conveyed both Apocalypse's immense power and his true nature, whether good or evil.

*So, this was why the X-Men had waged war against Apocalypse?*

*Even with all the X-Men united, they were utterly defeated by Apocalypse.*

*It seemed his suspicions were correct—Apocalypse was truly terrifyingly powerful!*

And yet, this overwhelmingly powerful Apocalypse had been instantly killed by Phoenix, who had only partially awakened her powers!

*Good heavens, isn't Phoenix a bit too strong?*

There was one thing, though.

Both Apocalypse and Phoenix seemed to transcend the very definition of mutants.

*Could mutants truly reach such levels of power?*

*Was everything described in this mysterious diary actually true?*

At that moment, Charles couldn't be certain.

"Quicksilver!"

The egg-shaped figure before the third diary notebook keenly noticed the name.

*If I remember correctly, Quicksilver is Scarlet Witch's brother, right?*

The diary also clearly stated that Quicksilver is a member of the X-Men.

And the X-Men are an organization composed of Mutants.

So, in this universe, Quicksilver is a Mutant?

*Then does this Mutant Quicksilver still have his sister Wanda?*

*If so, what would Wanda's identity be?*

*An Avenger, or an X-Man?*

*This is a fascinating topic.*

After all, the egg-shaped figure had just learned that in the Prime Universe, both the X-Men and the Avengers exist simultaneously!

*So, it's entirely possible that this is also the case in another Marvel-based Parallel Universe.*

During the Battle of Alcatraz, Phoenix turned dark and went berserk, annihilating everything around her into ashes.

It was completely on par with Thanos's Snap.

Whether Mutants or ordinary humans, they were utterly helpless against that power, forced to flee in disarray.

Even Magneto was terrified, exclaiming, "What have I done?"

If Wolverine hadn't painfully taken down Phoenix, the consequences would have been unimaginable.

The most powerful Mutant in existence is gone. What a tragedy.

This short spoiler further emphasized Phoenix's immense power, leaving Tony secretly awestruck.

*Power comparable to Thanos's Snap!*

This was the first time Tony had heard Zhou Cheng use the Thanos Snap as a point of comparison. After all, Thanos's Snap could obliterate half the universe's living beings.

Even though it was just an analogy, it vividly illustrated Phoenix's overwhelming might. Her performance confirmed this: reducing everything around her to ashes was truly astonishing!

Faced with such terrifying power, what could possibly resist?

All human weapons would be as useless as paper tigers. Even superheroes would be powerless; they couldn't even approach Phoenix without being reduced to ash.

Only the most elite superheroes, with their unique abilities, might stand a chance against her.

*Strong.*

*She truly lives up to her status as a Fifth-Tier Mutant.*

*But... is Wolverine really that powerful too?*

*She actually killed a Fifth-Tier Phoenix?*

*What Tier is this guy?*

*The diary doesn't mention it. Could he be a Fourth or Fifth-Tier Super Mutant too?*

Tony couldn't reach a definitive conclusion, but his attitude toward Wolverine unconsciously shifted, becoming more cautious.

*Alcatraz?*

*What is this place?*

*What has Erik done now?*

Charles, staring at another diary, was once again covered in question marks.

Judging by the diary's tone, Phoenix's dark transformation was clearly caused by something Erik did on Alcatraz.

It's highly likely that Erik was solely responsible for Phoenix's dark transformation.

However, the power that erupted after her transformation far exceeded Erik's expectations and control.

That's why he exclaimed, "What have I done?" right?

*Yes, Erik, what exactly have you done?*

The same question flashed through Charles's mind.

He racked his brain but couldn't recall Erik causing such a massive incident on Alcatraz.

So how did Zhou Cheng know about it?

Based on his tone, if what he said was true, then he knew far more than Charles did.

*Who is this person?*

What a tragedy. After the Battle of Alcatraz, everyone thought the Mutants' situation would improve.

Beast Hank had already resigned as Minister of the Mutant Affairs Department by then, but he still gave a joint speech with the President.

But who could have imagined it would come to nothing? The human government never stopped the secret development of Sentinel Robots.

After fifty years of research, the Sentinels of that era were no longer easy to deal with.

Even Magneto was powerless.

Almost all Mutants were nearly wiped out!

If Phoenix had been there, none of this would have happened.

Even the Sentinels of fifty years later wouldn't have stood a chance against her.

"Minister of the Mutant Affairs Department?"

"Hank?"

Charles couldn't help but shake his head.

*When did the human government ever establish a Mutant Affairs Department?*

*Even if Erik's arrest and the outbreak of war diverted public attention, slightly improving the Mutants' situation, it was nowhere near enough to warrant the government creating a dedicated department.*

*As for Hank serving as Minister, that's even more absurd.*

Hank was a quiet man, preferring to pursue scientific research.

How could he possibly become a politician?

"Sentinel Robot."

This term once again caught Charles's attention.

The diary had mentioned it repeatedly.

Could it be that the human government was secretly developing this mutant-slaughtering weapon?

Was this why Zhou Cheng had contacted him—to warn him about it?

Because in fifty years, this Sentinel Robot would nearly exterminate the mutants?

*Wait a minute!*

Charles froze. *Fifty years from now?*

Was Zhou Cheng telling him about something that would happen in fifty years?

How could he know about such a distant future?

Could it be that he wasn't just a telepathic mutant, but also someone who could see the future?

Moreover...

At that moment, Charles suddenly realized.

The events described in the diary might not be about the past at all.

They could be about the future!

That would explain why he'd never heard of them before.

Charles had been stuck in his own way of thinking, and the diary's tone lacked any clear temporal markers, so he'd subconsciously assumed it was describing the past.

But now that he thought about it, the diary could very well be describing the future!

The only question was: could anyone truly predict the future?
