"Strange is nearly bankrupt. He's sold his mansion and virtually everything else of value."
"All his money has been poured into his hands in a desperate attempt to heal them, but it's all failed."
"He's on the verge of a complete breakdown."
Coulson stood rigidly before Nick Fury, giving him a report on the mission.
Fury nodded inwardly at the news.
It seemed Strange had hit a dead end. At such a moment, a turning point was highly likely to emerge.
The Egghead immediately sensed this might be Strange's chance.
After all, the Diary had made it clear that Strange's purpose in going to Kamar-Taj was to heal his hands.
Now, with no other options left, Kamar-Taj was his last resort.
"Increase surveillance on him. Keep a close eye on him."
Nick Fury immediately gave Coulson instructions. "Our opportunity may have arrived."
"I agree, sir," Coulson replied.
Coulson nodded in agreement and continued, "In fact, I believe our opportunity has already arrived."
"Around three o'clock, Strange met with a man named Pangborn."
*Thud!*
As he spoke, Coulson placed a file in front of Nick Fury and continued his report.
"Four years ago, Pangborn suffered a work-related injury that severely damaged his back, leaving him disabled."
"According to modern medicine, he was expected to spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair."
"Yet when Strange found him, Pangborn was playing basketball in a stadium."
"You should have seen how energetic he was—I would have believed he was a college student."
*Something's wrong!*
*This Pangborn is highly suspicious!*
Nick Fury immediately sensed this.
Egghead even subconsciously made a deduction: this Pangborn had likely been to Kamar-Taj!
This would explain how his supposedly crippled body had miraculously recovered.
Considering that Doctor Strange had ultimately gone to Kamar-Taj to heal his hands, Egghead couldn't help but speculate that Strange might have gotten a clue from Pangborn.
Coulson was right—this was indeed their opportunity!
"So, what did you find out from him?" Nick Fury asked, looking at Coulson with anticipation.
Coulson shook his head. "I've investigated him thoroughly, but I haven't uncovered anything useful yet. I'll keep digging."
"Report any findings to me immediately!" Nick Fury ordered.
Neither Nick Fury nor Coulson could have known, however, that they would never get anything from Pangborn.
The Ancient One had been aware of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s investigation into Kamar-Taj for a long time.
And she had no intention of exposing Kamar-Taj to S.H.I.E.L.D.
The Ancient One had long since cast a spell to erase Pangborn's memories, ensuring he would remember nothing of Kamar-Taj.
"Understood, sir!"
Coulson replied. Seeing that his superior had no further instructions, he turned and left the office.
At that moment, Nick Fury eagerly entered the Diary interface.
He had received a notification about the Diary's update while discussing Strange with Coulson earlier.
With a thought, the Diary's latest entry appeared in Egghead's mind.
"As expected, Satan did indeed traverse dimensions to the DC Universe!"
Nick Fury immediately understood.
Although they had known for some time that Clark possessed the Diary and that its entries had been updated, they had only speculated that Satan had crossed dimensions.
But speculation was still speculation.
Couldn't Satan have simply "stayed home" and learned about the DC Universe, just like the God of Stories?
Only now did Egghead and the other Diary holders finally confirm this.
A subconscious sense of awe and wariness toward Zhou Cheng grew in their hearts.
This was a big shot who could freely traverse dimensions.
Considering how much he knew about so many dimensions, his prestige was likely even greater!
So yes.
The current Nick Fury couldn't treat Zhou Cheng as just another powerful superhero.
He was on a completely different level from ordinary superheroes!
Having clarified his attitude toward Zhou Cheng, Egghead once again focused his one eye on the Diary.
He couldn't help but nod inwardly.
That's right, Spider-Man had already gone live.
Nick Fury already knew about this.
After all, he had preemptively arranged for S.H.I.E.L.D. agents to infiltrate Peter Parker's surroundings.
Every move the boy made was naturally under Egghead's watchful eye.
Moreover, Nick Fury finally understood why Peter Parker was called Spider-Man.
Turns out the kid had been bitten by a spider!
And he even made his own web-shooters, allowing him to shoot webs like a spider.
To be honest, the kid had quite a talent!
*But a super brat?*
The Diary had once described Spider-Man this way, but after Egghead's extended observation of Peter Parker, he hadn't found him to be particularly mischievous or troublesome.
On the contrary, Peter Parker seemed remarkably mature for his age.
Perhaps due to the loss of both his parents, he appeared more composed than most.
His academic performance at school was also quite good.
If Egghead were to give him a rating, he would have given him a high score.
*So what makes him a brat?*
However, a dark line quickly materialized on Nick Fury's forehead as his face was slapped with reality.
*Just look at what Spider-Man has done!*
*Split a cruise ship in half?*
*Good heavens, we're talking about a cruise ship here!*
*Spider-Man can actually do something like that?*
*Well, the Diary did mention before that Spider-Man could pull cruise ships and high-speed trains... the kid does have considerable strength.*
*But if that power is misused, the consequences could be disastrous.*
*Just what the hell did this brat do to split a cruise ship in half?*
*How dangerous was that on the open sea?*
*Weren't all those passengers on the verge of death?*
That wasn't all.
He almost blew up his entire class in the van, and nearly sent them plummeting to their deaths from the top of the Washington Monument!
Egghead was speechless.
If a bomb had detonated in that confined space, the consequences would have been unimaginable.
The Washington Monument stood over 160 meters tall. A fall from that height would have reduced them to a bloody pulp.
And then there was the drone army.
The Diary had mentioned this drone army before.
Though details were scarce, given that Stark had developed it, its destructive power was self-evident.
Yet Spider-Man had handed it over to Mysterio, a villain!
Mysterio had also been mentioned in the Diary, albeit only in passing. This was a man who had completely outmaneuvered even Egghead himself.
Even though it was just a Skrull impersonating Egghead, that alone spoke volumes about Mysterio's cunning.
And don't even get started on the Multiverse-shattering Three Spiders Team-Up.
*Fine!*
He was truly a Super Brat.
Nick Fury was left speechless.
Who could have imagined that before Peter Parker became Spider-Man, he was such a normal, outstanding young man?
After becoming Spider-Man, he'd managed to cause so much trouble.
He'd become such a huge threat to everyone around him!
*Is this what happens when a child gets extraordinary powers?*
*It seems not everyone is suited to wielding such immense power.*
Egghead sighed from the bottom of his heart, then refocused on the diary.
"Darben!"
The name instantly caught Egghead's attention.
The diary had mentioned this name before. Egghead knew Darben was a super-being who had torn a massive rift in spacetime.
He'd even single-handedly taken on the Captain Marvel Alliance.
So, it was clear that the incident mentioned in the diary—where Ms. Marvel, Danvers, and Spectrum worked together to repair the spacetime rift—must be the same event.
*So, the mess Darben created was ultimately cleaned up by the Captain Marvel Alliance?*
Nick Fury felt a slight sense of relief.
Moreover, the list of members of the Captain Marvel Alliance was once again confirmed here.
It was indeed Danvers, Ms. Marvel, and Spectrum.
Moreover, Egghead gained a deeper understanding of Darben's act of tearing through spacetime.
Though the Diary didn't detail the exact process, it revealed that Darben had simultaneously destroyed the sun during this act.
*Good heavens!*
Even Nick Fury couldn't help but gasp.
*He destroyed the sun?*
*Truly worthy of someone who can tear through spacetime—his audacity is truly unparalleled.*
Fortunately, Danvers and the others proved reliable enough to repair the spacetime rift and save the sun.
Otherwise, as the Diary warned, the Solar System would have truly been doomed.
*After all, without the sun, what would even be the Solar System?*
___
After that battle, Ms. Marvel must have become the most powerful member of the Young Avengers, right?
She even snatched Darben's bracelets, now possessing a complete pair!
Ms. Marvel once used a single bracelet to travel through time, while Darben used one to tear through space.
She even opened a portal to a parallel universe, sending Spectrum into another one!
A universe where the X-Men exist.
This means Ms. Marvel can simultaneously wield the powers of time and space!
If she could perfectly control the bracelets, she would become a god-like figure, capable of freely traversing time and roaming the Multiverse at will.
"Ms. Marvel's bracelets are this extraordinary?" Tony's eyebrows shot up as he stood before another diary.
The diaries had long hinted that her bracelets originated from another time-space, but they never revealed more details.
Even so, everyone had guessed that the bracelets were no ordinary artifacts, simply based on their "extra-dimensional origin."
But even so, Tony had never imagined they would be this overpowered.
They could traverse both time and parallel universes!
Isn't this cheat a bit too much?
So, the Space Bracelet from Ms. Marvel's Time-Space Bracelets was actually with Darben all along?
It turned out that Darben's ability to tear through space-time relied entirely on Ms. Marvel's bracelet!
Even more astonishing, this wasn't just any tear in space-time; it was a tear between parallel universes, allowing Spectrum to enter a parallel universe where the X-Men existed.
All I can say is, "Six six six!"
The Diary had mentioned the X-Men multiple times. Tony knew they were a group of superheroes from a parallel universe outside the Marvel-verse, with prominent members like Professor X and Magneto.
Tony also knew that in the future, his world would enter the Multiverse era. The "walls" between parallel universes would repeatedly crumble, and they would no longer be isolated and sealed off from each other.
Instead, they would mutually penetrate, interact, and influence one another.
As for the higher-tier entities like the Watchers, Kang Council, Loki, God of Stories, and the Multiversal Spider-Man Alliance, let's not even get into those for now.
Consider how individuals like Infinite Ultron, Miss America, Dark Scarlet Witch, and Dark Doctor Strange have all demonstrated the ability to traverse the Multiverse.
Even a seemingly minor event like Spider-Man's identity being exposed resulted in the Three Spiders Team-Up.
Now, Ms. Marvel has joined the ranks.
Therefore, the dawn of the Multiverse era is inevitable.
And in this Multiverse era, it's not just the parallel universes of the Marvel-verse that are affected.
Parallel universes outside the Marvel-verse are also involved.
Didn't She-Hulk even ask Kevin Feige about it?
The X-Men will appear in the Marvel-verse at some point in the future.
But what about now?
Tony has now learned that individuals from the Marvel-verse have already appeared in the X-Men's universe.
So yes, it seems the establishment of connections between the Marvel-verse and the X-Men's universe has become an undeniable fact.
The only problem was:
Why would Darben tear open space-time and open a portal to the X-Men's parallel universe?
What was his true objective?
If the Captain Marvel Alliance chose to stop Darben, why did Spectrum enter that other parallel universe?
And what role did the destruction of the sun play in all this?
Due to the lack of intelligence, Tony couldn't make sense of it all in the short term.
However, no matter how he looked at it, this was clearly a matter of great significance and complexity.
