Fortunately, Teng Yunxiao soon returned.
However, unlike when he had left, he now wore a dejected expression, his brows tightly furrowed as though something troubling had happened.
An Mo immediately wanted to ask him where he had gone and whether he had found his disciple. However, before he could even finish asking, Teng Yunxiao walked past him without responding.
"Uncle Teng, you're back?"
There was still no response.
An Mo blinked.
What was wrong with this old man?
He glanced at Teng Yunxiao's absent-minded expression before quietly patting the cloth bag hanging from his shoulder.
Inside the pouch, a certain little cub was hiding obediently.
An Mo silently prayed that Teng Yunxiao wouldn't notice anything. If the old man discovered that he had secretly brought a cub from the Primordial Tide Clan, he would definitely refuse to let him take the little fellow away!
Fortunately, Teng Yunxiao seemed too distracted to notice anything unusual.
