Su Qinglan blinked.
What was wrong with these people?
She looked at the closed doors and windows lining the street, then turned toward Elder Luo.
"Elder Luo, is this how people in Fox Beast City usually welcome their guests?"
The three elders stiffened. Their faces had already been ugly, but after hearing her question, they became even more embarrassed.
They had no idea what was going on either!
Before they left, everything had been perfectly fine. Why did the city seem so strange now?
And what was with those people? Why were they behaving as though a group of terrifying beasts had suddenly invaded their city?
Su Qinglan glanced around once more. This place was certainly different from what the elders had described.
She had originally thought that Fox Beast City would be bustling with activity, especially since the elders had claimed that everyone was excited about the little prince's arrival.
