Kale gave a small nod.
"Really? This Zeno-sama seems pretty famous," Videl muttered thoughtfully.
Kale did not answer.
You really don't know anything, do you?
Zeno-sama is the greatest god in all the universes.
You don't even know that?
"I haven't seen Zeno-sama in a long time. I had a lot of fun playing with him back then." Videl fell into thought as Zeno-sama's adorable face appeared in her mind.
Kale sighed inwardly.
You really got insanely lucky, getting to play with Zeno-sama like that.
Even I, his appointed God of Destruction, never had that kind of luck.
…
Cabba and Caulifla's temporary home.
It was a beautiful place.
A clear stream flowed quietly through the mountains, its water murmuring with a crisp, pleasant sound. Lush trees shaded the banks, and flowers and grass grew thickly along the shore, like a beautiful painting drawn by nature itself.
Cabba and Caulifla had set up a small house there and were staying there for the time being.
Caulifla had stolen the little house from a Capsule vendor.
The two of them trained hard here, determined to defeat Gohan and the others as soon as possible.
At that moment, they were sparring.
As they fought, Gohan flew over from the distance at high speed and descended from the sky, landing near them.
Cabba and Caulifla stopped fighting and turned to look at Gohan together.
"It's you?" Caulifla greeted him with a cheerful smile.
Cabba immediately became alert.
What are you doing here?
Are you here to steal Caulifla from us?
"So this is where you're staying. Nice place," Gohan said with a smile, looking around.
"Did you need something from us? Is Kale doing all right?" Caulifla asked.
"Yeah… There is something I wanted to tell you." Gohan then explained everything about the World Martial Arts Tournament to Caulifla and Cabba.
"The World Martial Arts Tournament? Sounds interesting!" Caulifla's eyes lit up, and she was instantly interested.
Cabba's brows lifted slightly as well. He was clearly tempted.
"Cabba, let's enter!" Caulifla suggested.
"Sure. I'm fine with it." Cabba nodded.
"Then it's decided. We're entering!" Caulifla nodded, then asked, "Is Kale entering the World Martial Arts Tournament too?"
"She is," Gohan replied.
"Great. This time, I'm going to beat you myself at the tournament!" Caulifla said, swinging her fist at Gohan.
"Good luck!" Gohan laughed.
"I won't lose to you!" Cabba said, his eyes full of fighting spirit.
"I came here just to tell you about this. Since you've decided, make sure you don't forget when the time comes," Gohan reminded them seriously.
"Don't worry. We won't forget!" Caulifla nodded.
"I'll head back, then." Gohan rose into the air and waved goodbye to the two of them.
However, just as Gohan was about to leave, Goten and Zarek flew over from the distance at high speed.
Gohan caught the two of them right away.
"Goten, Zarek, what are you two doing?" Gohan asked directly.
"Nothing… Just wandering around. Is that not allowed?" Zarek snorted.
"You were following me on purpose, weren't you?".
"No way! How could we possibly have been following you?" Zarek had no intention of admitting it.
"You weren't thinking of challenging those two, were you?" Gohan asked, pointing down at Cabba and Caulifla.
Zarek lowered his head, pretended to be shocked, and shouted, "There are people here?"
"You don't need to explain. If you really want to challenge them, settle it at the World Martial Arts Tournament," Gohan suggested, afraid Zarek would drag Goten into trouble.
Gohan truly felt that Zarek's temper was a little like Raditz's.
But at the same time, it was completely different.
He was a natural-born brat.
That definitely isn't from our family's genes.
Who did he take after?
Grandpa and Grandma aren't like that at all.
"Gohan, who are they?" Goten asked curiously.
"They're Saiyans. Saiyans from Planet Sadala," Gohan explained.
"Saiyans from Planet Sadala?" Zarek's eyes shifted, and he gave Goten a look.
Goten did not understand and said nothing.
"Come on, let's go back." Gohan glanced sideways at Zarek and called them over.
The three of them left three streaks of light in the sky and returned to Mount Paozu.
That evening, Videl finally finished a full day of training and went home in her jet helicopter.
Although Gohan invited Videl to stay for dinner, she turned him down.
After dinner, Zarek asked Goten to go out and play.
The two walked far away, then quietly flew toward Cabba and Caulifla's location.
However, not long after they started sneaking away, a figure suddenly appeared right in front of them, blocking their path.
"Kale?" Zarek swallowed, a trace of fear appearing on his young face.
"Kale-nee…" Goten scratched his head.
"Where are you two going?" Kale asked sternly.
"We just finished dinner, so we're taking a walk. Right, Goten?" Zarek said with a grin.
Goten quickly nodded.
"You're going to find Caulifla and Cabba, aren't you?" Kale snorted. "You two had better not cause trouble! Especially you, Zarek! I think you've got too many calories and way too much energy, don't you?"
As she spoke, Kale stepped forward and grabbed Zarek by the neck.
Like a kitten grabbed by the scruff, Zarek immediately lost the ability to resist.
"Behave yourself!" Kale huffed. "Didn't Gohan say you two can challenge them at the World Martial Arts Tournament?"
"I know, I know! Let go of me!" Zarek panicked.
…
World of Void.
After a day of travel, Ken finally brought Merus to this region.
Mainly, Ken had to match Merus's speed. Otherwise, it would not have taken so long to reach the World of Void.
Besides, Ken was not in a hurry.
Just as Ken and Merus arrived, the Left Guard and Right Guard also flew over rapidly from the depths of the World of Void.
"Ken, at least you know your place. You came here and waited for us on your own," the Left Guard snorted, studying Ken with a smile.
"Ken! Zeno-sama already told us to show you there are always heavens beyond heavens and gods above gods!" the Right Guard shouted.
"Come at me together," Ken said, beckoning to the two guards.
Merus first bowed to the two guards, then tactfully flew backward and pulled some distance away.
"Merus, farther," Ken said to Merus without turning his head.
With Merus's level, watching too close would be dangerous. If Ken and the guards fought without restraint, Merus might genuinely be killed in an instant.
As he spoke, Ken also completely blocked the sound from Zat's seal.
Now even Zat's pained screams would not come out.
Ken simply wanted a proper sparring match with the two guards. If an attack accidentally hit Zat and he started screaming in pain, it would ruin the mood of the fight.
Also, Ken had not handed Zat's seal over to Merus.
After all, Ken still did not understand demons very well. Keeping Zat beside him was slightly safer.
If he gave Zat to Merus and Merus got tricked to death by accident…
That would be a serious sin.
Setting aside the Grand Priest's status, Ken genuinely saw Merus as a true friend.
I may mess with you all the time, but if you died, I really would be sad.
"Merus, farther," Ken instructed again.
"Okay…" Merus nodded and flew back another stretch.
The two guards carefully examined Ken.
At their current level, it was very difficult to guess someone's true level before they released their divine power.
Because of that, neither the Left Guard nor the Right Guard knew what level Ken had reached.
"Lefty, see that?" the Right Guard muttered quietly.
"I see it. There's a glowing sphere floating beside him," the Left Guard replied immediately.
The two had lived together for hundreds of millions of years, so the moment the Right Guard opened his mouth, the Left Guard knew exactly what he was about to say.
"It's a trick," the Right Guard whispered.
"I can tell," the Left Guard said with a nod. "That thing might be his trump card."
"You're right. I think so too," the Right Guard agreed deeply. "He deliberately sent Angel power into that glowing sphere just now."
"In a moment, do this, then this, then this…" the Left Guard said, laying out their plan.
"Got it." The Right Guard nodded lightly.
The two of them quickly settled on their battle plan.
"Finished discussing your strategy? Can we start now?" Ken asked with a smile, looking at the two guards.
"Begin." The Left Guard snorted as divine power surged wildly from his body.
The Right Guard released his powerful divine power as well.
Snap!
Light as brilliant as stars bloomed around Ken, and vast Angel power surged out of him.
At once, Ken's level was revealed before the two guards.
After sensing the intensity of Ken's level, the Left Guard and Right Guard looked more shocked than the other.
"Level 80!" the Left Guard said in a low voice, the corner of his mouth twitching despite himself.
"Are you kidding me? How did this guy's level get so high? Is he trying to become the next Grand Priest?" The Right Guard's pupils shrank, and his expression grew even more serious.
"Don't panic!" The Left Guard frowned hard and forced himself to calm down. In a deep voice, he said, "Look carefully. I think that glowing sphere is supplying him with an enormous amount of Angel power. Otherwise, there's no way he could have reached level 80 in such a short time."
"That actually makes a lot of sense," the Right Guard said with a nod.
"Follow the plan," the Left Guard said.
The Right Guard's eyes flickered, and he swallowed.
This brat really is something.
He actually reached level 80.
"You two aren't going to fuse?" Ken asked with a smile.
"There's no need to use the Super Fusion Technique against someone like you!" the Left Guard snorted and gave the Right Guard a look.
The two guards no longer hesitated. They immediately charged toward Ken from the left and right, closing in on him from both sides.
Their speed was terrifying. In a single flash, they appeared on Ken's left and right.
Their attacks arrived at the same time.
Ken directly used Ultra Instinct and lightly dodged their punches and kicks.
Bang, bang, bang!
The two guards increased the speed and rhythm of their attacks.
Ken did not counterattack at all. Instead, he used them to sharpen his Ultra Instinct, dodging attack after attack.
Swish, swish, swish!
The three left countless afterimages across the World of Void.
Far away, Merus stared in shock, his eyes wide and filled with disbelief.
Even I can't see them anymore!
They're too fast!
About fifty seconds later, the three appeared at the same time roughly a thousand meters away from Merus.
Ken once again dodged the fists and kicks coming at him from both guards.
It was worth noting that while Ken dodged, the sealed glowing sphere beside him moved with him.
"Hmph. Your level may have risen, but if all you can do is dodge, you'll never win!" the Right Guard snorted, his expression showing some disdain.
Bang!
However, the instant the Right Guard finished speaking, Ken suddenly threw a punch and struck him right in the nose.
The Right Guard's nose caved in deeply, and tears streamed from his eyes.
"I'm not only good at dodging," Ken said with a grin, showing a row of white teeth.
"Damn you!" the Right Guard flew into a rage and lunged at Ken with his arms out.
Bang, bang, bang!
Ken unleashed a flurry of punches and kicks on the Right Guard.
The Right Guard had no power to resist and was beaten into a panicked retreat with his hands over his head.
Snap!
Just then, the Left Guard suddenly moved forward and grabbed the brilliant glowing sphere floating beside Ken.
"Stop right there!" the Left Guard shouted, driving all five fingers into the glowing sphere.
At that moment, Ken was still pounding the Right Guard.
The Right Guard was completely outmatched, beaten black and blue by Ken.
After all, the gap between their levels was simply too large.
Hearing the Left Guard, Ken looked back at him, his eyes turning strange.
Why are you grabbing Zat's seal?
"Hmph, hmph, hmph. You should admit defeat, Ken." The Right Guard looked pained, but there was a trace of triumph in his eyes, as if victory was already assured.
Bang!
Ken showed no mercy and struck the Right Guard on the head with his scepter.
A large bump immediately swelled on the Right Guard's head.
"The difference before and after training really is amazing," Ken said with a deep sigh.
Seven years earlier, Ken had needed to transform into a Super Angel to defeat the Right Guard.
Even after becoming a Super Angel, Ken had still needed to put in a little effort to crush him.
Now, after seven years, Ken could easily crush Little Righty without even thinking.
"Little Righty, what have you been doing all these years? Why didn't you train properly?" Ken mocked.
"You… you bastard! You still dare hit me? Don't you know we've already found your weakness?" the Right Guard shouted furiously.
"Weakness?" Ken froze slightly, not understanding what the Right Guard meant.
Do I have a weakness?
I don't think so.
"Stop! I told you to stop!" the Left Guard shouted from afar, his face dark as his right hand gripped the sealed Zat tightly and gradually increased its force.
Zat's seal was squeezed until it twisted out of shape.
"What are you doing?" Ken froze slightly. "Don't mess with that thing!"
"Hmph. That thing lets your strength rise dramatically, doesn't it?" the Left Guard said with a smile. "I may not know much about Angel power, but I can still sense something suspicious there."
"Don't do anything reckless. That thing isn't what you think it is," Ken said, his brow furrowing slightly.
Seeing Ken's expression, the Left Guard instinctively assumed Ken was starting to panic.
"He's panicking! Hahaha, we guessed right!" the Right Guard burst into laughter from the side.
Bang!
Ken kicked the Right Guard away.
As the Right Guard flew backward, his smile froze on his face.
Can't you let me finish laughing before kicking me?
You're making it hard for me to enjoy this!
"Little Lefty, I'll tell you the truth. Sealed inside that thing is Zat, the younger brother of the Demon Supreme Kai," Ken said honestly.
"The Demon Supreme Kai's younger brother?" The Left Guard froze and looked at the glowing sphere in his hand.
"You can ask Merus," Ken said, pointing toward Merus in the distance.
The Left Guard immediately looked at Merus.
"Yes, Left Guard. The one sealed inside really is Zat, the Demon Supreme Kai's younger brother," Merus said with a nod, his expression unusually serious.
"Oh? Is that really so?" The Left Guard was half-convinced. He narrowed his eyes at Merus and gave a small laugh. "I know the two of you are very close. It would be perfectly normal for you to lie for him."
"Left Guard, I'm really not lying to you!" Merus emphasized again.
"Then release him and let me see whether he really is the Demon Supreme Kai's younger brother!" The Left Guard still did not quite believe it.
"Release him? If he runs, will you take responsibility?" Ken said with a calm smile.
"If you could catch him, why would you be afraid of him running?" the Left Guard said dismissively.
"Maybe he has some special way to escape. If you understand demons very well and want to release him for a look, I won't stop you. But if he gets away, you can explain it to the Grand Priest yourself," Ken said, rolling his eyes. He suddenly realized these two guards were a little stupid.
On second thought, that made sense. Zeno-sama did not exactly seem to have a very high IQ.
The guards beside Zeno-sama probably took after him.
After all, the people under a leader tend to resemble the leader.
"Does the Grand Priest know about this?" the Left Guard froze slightly.
"No…" Merus quickly shook his head.
By now, Merus had figured it out. This was not something the Grand Priest should know about.
Ken was right. If the Grand Priest knew and did not deal with it, that would only intensify the conflict between the Realm of Gods and the Demon Realm.
Even though our Realm of Gods is far stronger than the Demon Realm, why do I still feel uneasy?
"The Grand Priest doesn't know? For an incident this serious, you didn't report it to the Grand Priest and instead privately detained and sealed this demon? Do you think that is appropriate?" the Left Guard shouted sternly.
"You don't need to worry about that. Our business has nothing to do with the sealed guy. Of course, if you want to crush that thing, I absolutely won't stop you," Ken said with a smile. "You'll just have to bear the consequences yourself."
The Left Guard's expression shifted back and forth.
Swish!
The Right Guard flew over at high speed and appeared beside the Left Guard.
The Left Guard immediately looked at the Right Guard, wanting his opinion.
"I don't think it's very likely either. How could it be the Demon Supreme Kai's younger brother? What would he be doing here? And why wouldn't we know he came into our world?" the Right Guard said, shaking his head.
"Put it aside for now," the Left Guard said thoughtfully. "We'll observe whether Ken has any real connection to that thing."
"That works," the Right Guard agreed.
"Ken, I'll put this so-called seal of yours aside for now. You had better not try anything!" the Left Guard snorted and prepared to toss the seal to the side.
"Wait!" Ken immediately stopped him.
The Left Guard froze and looked at Ken in confusion.
"This guy may be sealed, but he's not behaving at all. I feel he could break free at any moment, which is why I've been injecting Angel power into the seal from time to time," Ken said seriously, shaking his head at the Left Guard. "So it's better to keep it beside me. Don't worry. With that thing beside me, it absolutely won't affect our fight. I can control him."
The Left Guard instantly fell silent.
"Don't believe him!" the Right Guard said with a frown.
"Who are you trying to fool?" the Left Guard stared at Ken suspiciously.
"No… Are my words really that untrustworthy?" Ken asked, speechless.
"You're only realizing that now?" the Right Guard snorted.
"But I'm genuinely telling the truth this time. Merus can testify," Ken said with a sigh.
"Although Ken does trick people a lot, he really is telling the truth this time," Merus guaranteed from the side.
Ken fell silent.
"Merus, when have I ever tricked you?" Ken snapped irritably.
"Well… hahaha…" Merus grinned awkwardly.
"Forget it. Do whatever you want." Ken looked as if he no longer cared. "Hurry up and fuse. Otherwise, you're no match for me."
"In that case, we'll do as you wish!" the Left Guard said with a solemn nod.
The Right Guard's expression also became increasingly serious.
The two guards pulled some distance apart.
Then the Left Guard first placed Zat's seal off to the side and gave the Right Guard a signal.
Ken watched silently.
Super Fusion Technique?
I'd like to see what this Super Fusion Technique looks like.
The next moment, the Left Guard and Right Guard began by dancing in place. Then, with the dance, they moved closer together.
