The encounter I had with that peasant pest, no offence I love humans in different races blacks, whites, caramel, deep black I like them all but when you're an ass and when I mean an ass I mean someone who judges or insult people for no reason I dislike you not just dislike I despise you..... No big deal.
Forgetting about that guy and let's now set our focus on poppy...
He was wearing pink like pink through out. Pants pink, top pink, hand accessories mixed colours but mostly pink, shoes pink and from one of Tommy Hilfiger's products , and let's not forget the scaff tie knot around his neck looking pink in all it's glory... And the most weird thing is that it suits him. Like he pulled it off.
We got a table sat down then he called for a for our order which was given to us within minutes..... That was fast, I mean not every restaurant can pull it off you know.
We are in silence each of us savouring our food and flavours mixed together in this food am eating, do not mock me for not knowing what this is let me say poppy was the one who ordered it and he said it will be good and it really is good for my taste buds.
After what felt like ten minutes we were done with our meals and the empty dishes were removed from our table within seconds it was like they were monitoring our table to know when we finished our meals it was good in one way but creepy in another way like they were the watchers in a kind of movie.
Then it was time for the talk and when I mean the talk I mean the reason I called for this meeting. The reason I wanna to talk to him of all people for one good reason.... Tim.
"Hey poppy, sorry for calling you out of the blue, but I need help" I say having a face of apology.
He just smiled at me with an understanding smile, he was gorgeous with it at least for me but he isn't my type ok if you are thinking something else in you little mind of yours.
"No worries love.....you needed someone to talk to about him. Tim right" he said while I felt stunned of his point and he got it spot on.
"Are you a mind reader, cause you know what I'd in my mind and I need help..... Like knowing what am walking into if marrying him will be the end of me..... Am kind of scared....." And it was real I felt like am walking blindly into something I don't know.
"Chris, I know what you feel but don't worry it is all good..... To be scared but I can assure you Tim is someone I trust so entering this marriage will actually benefit you but mostly him ..." He paused to a sip from his wine we ordered earlier.
"What do you mean by that it will benefit Tim" I asked looking suspicious of him. I had many things in my head like.
**Was he asked to tell me this by Tim or is there something I don't know.
He stated with "he's been through a lot and having you benefit's him..... " I just stared at him like 'WTF are you saying ' ..." I need to go deeper into my words huh to make you understand what am trying to get at"
I just sat properly, you know to focus on the big talk and shit Luke that "you may begin I just need to understand my situation, I mean the entire situation if you get what I mean" I elaborated which he nods to as his reply.
"First of in knowing your situation you need to know Tim background and what made him change. In the beginning he wasn't always like a.... How should I put it."
"An asshole....." I cut him off giving him the right word to use
"Yeah that an asshole. He wasn't always like that and I knew this because we grew up together and this was way before he knew about his own sexuality as a bisexual man." He paused but then continued " we got to know each other because of our parents and the line of work they do. His dad was still a mafia king as at then, and as the next in line he needed to know some sort of things, while I on the other hand had a father that was a killer..... Not in a awful way.... No killing is awful but he walked as an assassinated killer for the Lionheart family and I was to follow his foot steps as the one who will take up his title since it had been so for generations. I was to serve Tim when he became the Mafia king you know like my dad but I choose something else entirely and that was fashion." He took a sip of his wine before leaning back to relax a bit before continuing.
"My dad was Furious with me but it is another story of another time but this is Tim's story not mine so back to the devil..... Growing up we become tight friends, everything was fine until his mom past way right before his eyes by an assassinator and it broke something deep within him" he looked at me only to find my emotions in the crying side but I sucked it in.... Then muttered to him to continue.
"It was among the darkest hours or days of his life but that ended when he met Sofia his first girlfriend. He loved her because she brought him out of the dark places he had wanted to stay in forever, he wanted to be a better person again and it gladden my heart, and he was 25 at that time. For ten years after his mom's death he had hope but it all went down the hole when two years past by in a flash and he was about to marry her but the universe has it's own plans for him... The marriage was cancelled simply because Sofia never wanted him in the first place. She use him to get to his father. And for as it went his father got her pregnant in the process of their hiding love but it came to light anyways so his girlfriend became his stepmother and this was something he could never recover from."
"That sucks.... " I said releasing my breath I didn't know I held back in. "Tragic story huh, he had it worst than me" I muttered in something I felt like sadness for him now after hearing the few new information on Tim.
"Yeah, it is tragic but it becomes better. Four years after the mayhem happened between him and his new found family the old bastard die in his sleep, no poisoning, no sign of entering of assaulting or assassination or even struggling. He died naturally although it hurt us me and him but we prayed he could have at least had a Cruel some death. That side us now Tim took the position of the new mafia king and with a betrayed heart he cut every ties he had to do with his father's family and the idiot of a stepmother, he even because a Cruel man shaking the world, but I knew he was hurting. But as fate could have it for me I left my father or more like ran away from my own family though I was trained, taught in all kind of assassination and brutal combat I never used them, he set this Poppy's fashion empire for me cause it has always been my dream since we were little." He paused again took a sip of his wine.
I just had to say one thing before he continues "he was nice..... You mean to tell me he still has a heart in here" I pointed at my chest
"Yes he still does now shut up while I continue my story." He said
"Yes sir continue with your story " I replied him as I too took a sip from my wine glass.
"My family wanted someone else to do my job but Tim got himself that person called Nathaniel but we call him his code name Nate..... " I interrupted him
"Cut cut cut..... You mean the big looking guy that follows him around. I thought he had this dark side of him I never really thought it will be this intense you know" I said with an understanding look.
"It is rude to interrupt someone's story you know that!!....yes that scary looking guy. Now if you allow me to continue with my story if you don't mind. Well you see Nate was a runway killer. I mean the worst that people had to look out for, someone who's hunger for killing exceed that of a predictor. He has this side that scares me a lot. According to rumours they say that he wiped out an entire operation base on his own within 4 to 6 days and he had this Stone cold heart since he never had a relationship with anyone. That is how scary he can be so he was in the wanted list but he was brought into Tim's life by a single encounter one too simple and Nate choose to state by Tim's side taking my job as his assassinator making me free from duty. Wonderful as it may sound I never really get the words Tim told Nate that made him stay with him and remains tamed bit it was worth it that was how his life grew up to be for years making him gain the nickname brutal king of the Mafia world. And that was how his heart became hardcore but it change with a little glance to a particular someone. I was surprised when he came into my home talking about someone he saw and how the person was adorable and beautiful, having been curious I asked of this person which I ended up knowing it was you..." I ended his speech taking another sip of his wine
"Wait me... " I said it jokingly but turn serious because he was serious about this issue himself "me..... But why me...????" I asked
"He said cause he saw in you peace he could have and the innocence he once had in you and how no one had ever stood up to him even though he was a mafia king you never treated him as such .... And when he calls you little lamb you talk back to him even though you never knew who he was and even after you knew who he was you never ran away to stood your grounds, that was what made him want to marry you earlier than expected because if the fear of someone stealing you away from him " he sat forward.
"Now that is the reason you said it will benefit him more because am turning into his weakness and he will benefit me cause he will be my shield when I need him am I correct " I said more like a question, actually it was a question??.
"Yes but he could be more than just a shield if you allow him into your life. So in short he is more scared of loosing you than anything that is why the marriage is holding up quickly. Has that answer your questions "
I just breath cause taking all these informations all at once was overwhelming. "Yeah..... It did and good call I didn't get stolen or things won't have been nice would it???" I said with a wary smile.
"Yeah, but out of curiosity when you mean by stolen you mean you found someone else "
"No someone found me in my vulnerable moment " I corrected him
"Now this sounds juicy and who may this charming man be huh... Tell me I want to know " he seems energetic instantly.
"The man is charming I wouldn't lie in that, he's nice too but also kind of possessive like I already belonged to him.... Anyways his name is Adam..."
And at the mentioning if Adam's name I could clearly see the colour of Poppy's face turn white from shock.... That he almost chokes on his wine.
"What!!!!!....." He voiced out above his talking voice level. This seems bad like I have a feeling that what am about to find out wouldn't be good at all.
I mean it will be in a bad side.... And I was right 👍.
