Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: Call Me Husband

"The marriage certificate is already done, what's the point in dwelling on this?" Eldest Young Master Grant leaned lazily against the sofa, appearing relaxed and carefree, as if his previous fury had been just an illusion.

Lily Shaw understood that everything had returned to the beginning. She directly asked, "Eldest Young Master Grant, why exactly did you want to marry me? You should clarify your intentions so that I can cooperate with you."

At this point, she had no way back.

Aiden Grant's ability to get the marriage certificate in such a short time, even without the presence of the two main parties involved, was enough to show his determination.

Even if she wanted a divorce, it wouldn't be achievable in the short term.

The Centennial Chateau worth three hundred million US Dollars and the Regal Group's daily dividend of half a percentage point — after paying such a high price, Eldest Young Master Grant certainly wouldn't let her go easily.

She had thought about escaping the marriage, but when she cleaned herself up in the bathroom, she found bodyguards in black suits standing at the room's door and all exits; she couldn't get out.

Moreover, she never intended to become enemies with Aiden Grant. She couldn't afford to provoke or evade such a formidable man.

Aiden Grant did not answer; he would not answer a question twice.

As for how Lily Shaw thought about it, he didn't care.

She was a sensible woman who would surely make the right choice.

Lily Shaw did not get an answer, but she wasn't concerned.

When she asked the question, she had already prepared herself for not getting an answer.

The Grant Family in Aethel, with a history spanning hundreds of years, endowed its members with an inherent noble demeanor, evident even when they walked.

However, over the past few years, several unpleasant rumors about The Grant Family had emerged, including that the Eldest Young Master Grant had lost his male capabilities.

But as for why the dignified Eldest Young Master Grant suffered such a fate, apart from the person involved, no one knew the reason. In fact, most people didn't even dare to speculate.

"Eldest Young Master Grant, let's make a deal. I will help you conceal what needs to be hidden, and you help me find my long-lost brother, how about that?"

"A deal?" Aiden Grant sneered coldly, his voice laced with disdain, "Miss Shaw, your father sold you to me. What leverage do you think you have to make a deal with me?"

"I heard you've been looking for a lost ring. Maybe I can help you find it." Lily Shaw stated confidently, sure that Aiden Grant would eventually compromise!

"How do you know about this? Who told you? Speak!" Aiden Grant suddenly lost control, his gaze sharp as a knife as he looked at Lily Shaw, his demeanor so sinister it seemed like he wanted to cut her into pieces.

How did she know he was looking for the ring? Could it be that she...

Yet the more he reacted this way, the more Lily Shaw believed she was on the right track. She had found the Achilles' heel of the impervious Eldest Young Master Grant!

"Eldest Young Master Grant, stay calm. How I know isn't important. What's important is that the ring you're seeking, only I can find it. Isn't that the reason why you wanted to marry me? Eldest Young Master Grant, are you willing to make this deal with me?" Lily Shaw faced the enraged man standing suddenly before her without fear.

If someone else dared to threaten him like that, Aiden Grant would've already thrown them out.

However, the woman in front of him was not just anyone; he wouldn't treat her that way.

The Eldest Young Master Grant irritably loosened his tie and suddenly bent down, gripping Lily Shaw's delicate chin, saying, "Call me husband, and I will agree to make the deal with you."
