While on the balcony and smoking, Gilbert received a call. When he saw it was from his daddy, his forehead furrowed.
"Yes, dad?" he asked from the other line.
"Gilbert! What did you say to Miss Sierra, why did she come home crying?" his daddy asked in a baritone voice.
The corner of Gilbert's lips lifted. It looked like that girl had already reported her to his daddy.
Well, who would like that girl? She was too liberated to think that the first time they met for a blind date, she was already hugging him. And maybe that's why she was crying because he told her he didn't like that liberated girl.
"Nothing, dad."
"You don't like her?"
"She's too liberated. She can't play the role of being the young lady of the Ace Carter Family," Gilbert said bluntly.
Kennedy Ace Carter fell silent after hearing that. A family like theirs values their reputation more than anyone else. So if his son marries a woman like that, they might have problems later.
