Morro might have taught Nalia a few things to get out of trouble.
Who killed the trash can?
Besides the time when Lloyd was captured, Nalia never takes training or fighting seriously. As she just likes being lazy and finds it boring.
Cole got competition.

*At the apartment.*
Nalia stood in another room to focus in peace and not disturb Lloyd's training.
She took a deep breath and raised her hands. "Come on, just something simple. As Sensei Wu says, start small and slowly build it up with time. Or whatever, something like that."
Nothing happened for thirty minutes, but she didn't want to lose hope and give up. While she liked lazying around and hated training, she would sometimes train by herself without anyone knowing besides Wu since he had caught her training secretly a few times.
Slowly, a golden glow began surrounding Nalia, and she noticed something was happening. So she kept her focus, and soon enough, she had summoned a small star in her hands.
"Wow..... I did it." Nalia was amazed to see an actual star in her hands, and even more, as she watched it slowly fly around her as if it was sentient. She let out a giggle when it touched her nose as it tickled.
The star reacted to her giggle as it jumped around her, glowing ever so slightly.
"This is so cool; let's see if I can summon another one," said Nalia, now excited, and raised her hands again and tried to focus.
As Nalia focused, she began glowing again, but brighter when she put more power into summoning another star, which worked much easier this time.
"Awesome!" Cheered Nalia, throwing her fits into the air since she could summon two stars. "Now, what else can I use with this power?" She wondered while the stars floated next to her.
Nalia closed her eyes and calmed down as she tried to meditate, which wasn't something she normally did since she could never sit still. Instead, she wanted to try something that might be risky.
Everything slowly went quiet around her, and she tried to focus on the warm feeling she sometimes got whenever she sang.
For a moment, Nalia thought she had it, but the quiet was soon ruined by the sound of Kai and Lloyd's voices in the other room. The noise caused her to lose focus and let out an annoyed sighed. "This is why I hate meditating, " she mumbled before looking at the two stars that were still there.
Nalia looked around and noticed a trash can. "I am very sorry about this," she said and pointed towards it. The two stars acted on command and flew right at the trash can. One cut the top off, while the other went right through it before they both turned into stardust.
With a sigh, Nalia got up and walked into Kai and Lloyd's room.
*Lloyd punches Kai's hands in the other room while the latter wears oven mitts.*
"Good, keep it up," said Kai.
"Ha! Fists of fury! Unh! You can't even see 'em move; I'm so fast! Ha!" said Lloyd.
"Save the gloating. It can only be used against you by your enemy," said Kai.
"Oh, please. I'm ready to face whatever you throw at me." Lloyd kicks Kai until he is thrown backward.
"Whoa, grasshopper. You're not even ready to face my pinky toe." Kai wiggles his left foot to emphasize his point. Behind Lloyd, Wu is observing the session.
"I see the student has become the teacher. You will learn fast, Lloyd, with lessons from the five ninjas," said Wu.
Nalia raised an eyebrow at Wu since she hadn't considered teaching Lloyd. She had nothing against it since she had been trained a lot longer than the other.
"Great, now that lesson is over, how about some target practice... on Kai?" said Cole.
"You'll each get your turn, but first, I don't want you to be late for your next lesson with Nya," said Wu.
"Aww, but when will I learn Spinjitzu?" Lloyd asked.
Wu sighs. "Patience. It will only be unlocked when the key is ready to be found."
Nalia looked over at Lloyd and noticed that his powers were growing stronger. She began rubbing her eyes since they were slowly starting to hurt.
Lloyd groans before looking over at Nalia. "Are you okay, Lia?"
"Hm?" Nalia looked over at him again as the pain went away. "Oh, yeah, I'm fine." She smiled at him.
"Okay," said Lloyd before walking away to meet with Nya.
"Ha, sounds familiar?" Cole looked over at Kai.
"I wasn't that whiny," said Kai.
"No, you were worse," said Zane.
"Yeah, I wish I could forget it," said Nalia.
"Hehe. Guys, I know we're trying to prepare Lloyd for the future, but it's hard to give him the best training in these conditions," said Jay.
"Jay's right. I miss the Destiny's Bounty. Too bad it's gone." said Cole.
"Hmm. I see your point. Perhaps we could find somewhere else to aid his journey." said Wu.
"Guys? What happened to our only trash can?" Zane asked as he had gone to throw something out. But had returned with the beaten-up trash can.
"How did that happen?" Jay asked.
"Okay, who here has throwing knives or shurikens on them?" Cole asked.
Everyone checked their pockets, but Nalia pulled out their knives and shurikens.
"So, who is the culprit?" Kai asked.
The ninjas looked over at Nalia for a second.
Nalia raised her hands in defense. "I don't like carrying sharp objects, so I only use my bo staff."
"Well, someone here clearly killed it. So fess up already, Kai," said Jay.
"Me! If someone should fess up, it should be you! Since you're blaming me. To cover up your own mistake." said Kai.
Nalia left the room before it got worse and went to check on Lloyd to see how he was doing.
*Nalia goes to find Lloyd and Nya on the roof with the Ultra Dragon.*
"But, uh, I don't know how to fly," said Lloyd.
"It's all in the legs," said Nya.
"Hehe." Lloyd looked at his legs.
"He'll be the fastest and strongest Dragon in all of Ninjago." Nya chuckles.
"Looks like he's already feeling better," said Lloyd.
"Go try to get some air, big boy." said Nya.
"How's the training going?" Nalia asked, coming over to them.
"Pretty well, I'll say," said Nya.
"Lia, what are you doing up here?" Lloyd asked.
"The guys started fighting about someone killing our only trash can with knives or shurikens," said Nalia.
What?" Lloyd looked at her, confused, as he raised an eyebrow.
"Oh, you've gotta be kidding me," said Nya with a sigh, and went down to stop the guys from fighting over who killed the trash can.
"Did you kill our trash can?" Lloyd asked.
Nalia raised an eyebrow. "How would I kill a trash can? I never carry sharp objects with me."
Lloyd gave her a skeptical look, unsure if he believed her. But then again, she never liked lying.
"Doesn't your teeth count as being sharp?" He asked.
Nalia thought for a moment before shrugging. "Can't help with something I'm born with."
Lloyd still wasn't buying it, as he had noticed her coming out of that room while training with Kai. But decided not to say anything about it. "Looks like little Miss Starlight isn't as innocent as she makes herself out to be."
*Sometime later, in Ninjago City, the ninjas had found a place called Grand Sensei Dareth's Mojo Dojo, where they were now training Lloyd.*
"You must be light on your feet. Hiyah!" said Jay.
"When you strike with your fists, concentrate. You may be small, but you're strong," said Cole.
Lloyd strikes the boards, making an earthquake. Everyone gasps as they are flown back.
Nalia's eyes widened in surprise before she had to rub them. She saw his powers growing and hurting her eyes. "Awesome."
"That was the power of the Staff of Quakes. And you did it without the Golden Weapon!" said Jay.
"That must be why you have the potential to be the greatest ninja. You can harness all of the Elemental Powers." said Zane.
"Really? Cool." said Lloyd.
"With this power, you must be careful. It would be best if you controlled it before it controlled you," said Wu to Lloyd, glancing over at Nalia.
Nalia smiled, running over to Lloyd after her eyes stopped hurting and took his hands. "That was so cool! Please do it again! Do it again!"
"Nalia, behave," said Wu, bunking her in the head with his staff.
"Ow!" Nalia rubbed her head, pouting a little while Lloyd laughed. "Not funny."
"It kind of is," said Lloyd, chuckling.
Nalia rolled her eyes before she soon began giggling, too.
"I have to admit, not bad for a kid. But instead of ten boards, how about fifty? Stack 'em, boys." said Dareth while Wu let out a sigh.
Nalia raised an eyebrow before looking at Lloyd, who just shrugged.
"And perhaps if I, Grand Sensei Dareth, can break through them all, you will allow me to join your team and become..." Dareth puts on a ninja hood. "...the Brown Ninja!"
Jay snickers. "The Brown Ninja? You gotta be joking!"
"Sorry, pal. Club's already full." said Cole.
"But he doesn't have any elemental powers," Nalia whispered but didn't want to say it out loud since that would be rude.
"How do you know that?" Lloyd whispered.
"If someone has an elemental power, I can see a faint glow in the color of their powers. But the stronger that person's power is, the more it hurts my eyes." Nalia whispered.
Lloyd looked surprised at her by hearing this. "Was that why you rubbed your eyes after my training with Kai?" Then, another question came to mind. "Is that also why you were wearing those glasses?"
Nalia glanced over at Lloyd, and for a second, she thought she saw a change in his eyes but shook it off. "Yeah, the glasses blocked people's elemental auras so that I wouldn't worry about the pain, but ever since, I stopped being sick. Everyone's auras have become faint, but if they get some power-up or grow stronger, their aura grows brighter and hurts my eyes."
Lloyd kept looking at her as he was listening closely to her explanation. "When did you become a second Zane?"
"What do you mean?" Nalia gave him a confused look.
Lloyd was about to explain but was cut off by Dareth. Causing both of them to turn their attention back to what was happening.
"Okay, okay. Then maybe this demonstration of my superhuman strength may persuade you. Jeffy, Phil, are we ready?" said Dareth.
"Yes, Grand Sensei Dareth." said Jeffy and Phil.
"Observe. I call upon the greatest animal to give me strength, the Dragon. Heeyah!" Dareth hits the boards, but screams in pain. Everyone but Nalia, Jeffy and Phil, laughs at him.
"Oh, man. Ow!" said Jay.
Nalia walked over to Dareth. "Are you okay mister?"
Dareth looked at Nalia while holding his hand, still hurting, but tried to act like it wasn't. "Oh, yeah, I'm alright, little lady."
"Okay, but you should be more careful," said Nalia, giving a small smile before looking at the boards. "Sensei Wu, may I?"
Wu let out a sigh but gave a nod. "You have been lacking some training, with lazing around along with us being focus on Lloyd's training."
Nalia smiled, giving a bow before walking in front of the boards.
"Oh, little lady, I don't think that's a good idea," said Dareth.
"Wait, have we ever seen Nalia break any boards when she was training?" Jay asked.
The ninjas looked at each other, trying to think of any moment they had seen her do this in their training. But all of them were drawing a blank.
"I guess seeing her being mostly lazy and rarely training, we've never seen it," said Kai.
Nalia looked at the boards with a bored expression; she rolled her right shoulder to get herself ready. But wasn't taking this seriously. "Haven't broken a board since I broke Sensei Wu's tea table once by accident."
"What?" The ninja's eyes widened, and they looked over at Wu.
"I thought Cole was the one with crazy strength, not Nalia, who is just a little kid." Kai.
"Nalia might be stronger than she looks, but Cole is still the one with more strength." said Wu, stroking his beard as he observed Nalia.
"And I thought her biting strength was crazy," said Jay.
"Wait, if she has a strong bite that can break even bone... doesn't that mean her physical strength might be just as strong." said Cole.
The ninja's eyes grew wider to the point that they could almost pop out. They looked at Wu for answers, but he wasn't saying anything, so they turned their attention back to Nalia.
"Remember, Nalia, be gentle." said Wu.
"Gentle!?" shouted the ninjas, not liking the sound of that.
"And I thought I would be crazy for causing an earthquake. I'm not sure how I feel about this," said Lloyd.
Nalia looked over at the others, confused about their reaction. "What?"
The ninjas and Lloyd had gone on to hide behind Wu for their safety.
"Nalia, focus and be gentle." said Wu.
Nalia rolled her eyes with a sigh, turning her attention to the boards. She stepped back before jumping up and quickly broke each board until she reached the last one. "Huh, I guess these boards are made of softwood." She picked up a broken piece, feeling the weight.
"Softwood!?" shouted the ninjas.
"Little lady, those were premium hardwood," said Dareth, but her strength also took them aback.
"Sensei Wu, that was far from being gentle," said Zane.
"I think I understand now why she is always lazy," said Jay.
"If she always had that kind of strength, why didn't she use it on the serpentine?" Kai asked.
"Nalia doesn't like hurting people, so from the good of her heart, no matter how bad the person might be. She will never use her full strength on anyone, not even if she is serious." Wu explained.
"What about Pythor? She didn't seem to have any problems trying to break his bones or even kill him from having captured Lloyd," said Cole.
"Nalia was very emotional at that point, and her breaking bones by just biting is the very reason she doesn't use her full strength in a fight. So, while I don't like her laziness, it stops her from killing a person." Wu told them.
*In the city, everyone screams as they see the flying pirate ship.*
"What is this place, Cap'n?" asked First Mate.
"A place to plunder. Never have my eyes seen such treasures. Boys, take whatever you want!" said Soto.
"Are those pirates?" asked a business woman.
"Fire!" Soto fires a cannonball at the window, making everyone scream.
"Great. Now what?" A pirate swipes his mail. "Hey, you can't do that!" shouted to Postman.
"Hahahaha."
Soto stands in front of a bus. "Aye, a creature. Let's give him a taste of our steel." The pirates start attacking the bus. "It surrenders and gives us its loot. Have at it, boys!"
"Oh, that's our ship!" said Jay.
"But pirates?" Lloyd questions.
"Pirates!" Nalia's eyes lit up in excitement. "I've always read about them; this is so cool! I've always wanted to see pirates!"
Lloyd looked over at her with raised eyebrows. "Please don't tell me you are gonna ask them questions, like you did with Pythor."
"....Maybe." said Nalia.
Lloyd gave her a deadpan look. "You don't notice the chaos around you when you find something interesting, do you?"
Nalia just gave him a confused look, not sure what he meant.
"Pirates haven't been around for centuries." said Cole.
"I sense Lord Garmadon is somehow behind this." said Zane.
"How are we gonna follow them?" Lloyd asked.
Kai holds out a bus token. "Perhaps this can be of some use. I can't believe I'm saying this, but follow that ship! Ugh, I don't like the kid coming along. It's too dangerous. That goes for you too, Lia."
"What, but why? You guys didn't have any problems with it before," said Nalia.
"Please, please, please. I'll be super good," said Lloyd.
"The powers inside you are still too great, too uncontrollable," said Zane.
"One of these days, you'll be able to join us. Sorry, kid." said Cole.
"Sorry, Lia, but it would be best that you stay back and protect Lloyd; we can't risk anything happening to him," said Jay.
*Lloyd and Nalia groans. As the ninjas climb onto the roof.*
"Well, this isn't fair." Nalia pouted, crossing her arms.
"Wait, I have an idea." said Lloyd, taking her hand and began dragging her along.
"What's your idea, greenie?" Nalia asked as she was dragged along, which she didn't mind.
"You'll see, starlight," said Lloyd with a smirk, and he led her somewhere.
*Jumping to Dareth walking the plank.*
"We don't need to do this, fellas. I'm a lousy martial artist. What I do, I wouldn't even call it an art. I know I'm a brown belt, but I painted it. And my trophies, they're all fake." said Dareth, making Kai and Jay groan. Dareth is pushed off the plank. "Aah!"
"Woo-hoo!" Lloyd and Nalia saves Dareth on the Ultra Dragon.
"This was a good idea, greenie." said Nalia smiling.
"Told you so, starlight." said Lloyd also smiling.
"I-I called the Dragon. I-I called the Dragon!" Dareth laughs.
"Ninja, go!" The ninjas switch to their gis.
"More pajama men?" Soto asked.
"Where? I can't see." said No-eyed Pete.
"Ninja versus pirates. Who will win?" said Kai.
*The fight commence.*
"Awk, left! No, the other left. Awk! Right!" said the Parrot.
*Jay breaks open a gumball machine, making everyone—even the ninjas—slip.*
"Ugh, Jay!" said Cole.
"Oops!" said Jay.
"Ninja, go!" Nalia and Lloyd boarded the ship, but Lloyd knocked out Zane and Soto.
"Pirate, go!" shouted Soto.
Nalia raised her hands and began using sand to block attacks, then used spinjitzu on some pirates.
"Lloyd! Nalia, you two aren't supposed to be here!" Kai puts Lloyd in a barrel but accidentally pushes him off the ship.
"Aah!" Kai holds onto the anchor, which causes destruction to the city. "Sorry about that! I'll pay for that! Ah, that's gonna leave a mark! Oops, hehe."
*Meanwhile, Garmadon can grab the keys with his weapon. Soto is still trying to slash Lloyd.*
"Come here, you blurry little munchkin!" said Soto.
"Hey! Stay away from my friend!" said Nalia, using sand to block his sword from hitting Lloyd.
"Ninja, go!" Lloyd uses Spinjitzu and breaks free of his barrel. "Whoa, Spinjitzu! I just did Spinjitzu for the first time!" Soto kicks Lloyd, who flips the switch before the anchor and Kai hit a gas tanker.
"Awsome Lloyd!" shouted Nalia.
"Whoo, haha!" Cheered Kai.
"My son. He's growing stronger." said Garmadon.
*Lloyd uses his Energy.*
"Lloyd! Don't! Your powers are too uncontrollable!" shouted Kai.
"Aah!" The ship's mast falls on top of the ninjas.
"Agrh! My eyes!!" shouted Nalia, covering her eyes as Lloyd's elemental aura was getting too bright and hurting her eyes.
While covering her eyes, one of the pirates was able to knock her over.
"You lose, Pajama People." said Soto.
"Huh?"
"Now you're walking the plank." said Soto.
*Nya, in her Samurai Mech, puts the mast back in place, freeing the ninjas.*
"Who wins between pirates and ninja? It's Samurai!" said Jay.
Nya chuckles and Jay sighs.
*Later, the pirates are shown being placed in police cars.*
"Good work, team." said the Police.
"Don't forget to include these two." Kai gives Lloyd a noogie, and Lloyd laughs while ruffling Nalia's hair, making her also laugh.
"Uh, that your ship?" The Police asked, pointing towards Destiny's Bounty.
"It sure is." said Jay.
Garmadon having taken control of the ship again. "Sorry, you snooze, you lose."
"Lord Garmadon!" shouted Kai.
"Mister Garmadon!" shouted Nalia.
"Dad!" shouted Lloyd.
"You're becoming stronger, son, but you'll never be strong enough to defeat me. Give up, before it's too late." Lloyd looks at the ninjas and Nalia before looking back at his father; he stands by his friends. "Have it your way. Another day, ninjas. Another day."
"Ah, great. Lord Garmadon is back, and now he's got our ship." said Jay.
"Well, at least we've got this little guy." said Cole, looking over at Lloyd.
Nalia smiled, pulling Lloyd into a hug. "I'm happy you aren't leaving us."
Lloyd chuckles his cheeks, which are growing a little pink. "I promised that we'll always stay together, no matter what. Right?" He smiled at her.
Nalia's smile only grew bigger, happy he remembered their promise. "I'm happy you are keeping to that promise."
*Garmadon laughs as he flies away. Dareth whistles and tries to sneak-attack Jay. Jay grunts and flips Dareth.*
"Oh, come on, guys. I Dareth you to forgive me." said Dareth.
The ninjas, Nalia, and Dareth laughs.
"By the way, are your eyes okay now?" Lloyd asked, remembering her screaming in pain when fighting the pirates.
Nalia looked at him for a good while as if she was seeing something. "Yeah, my eyes are all better now." She smiled softly at him.
"You sure?" Lloyd asked.
Nalia rolled her eyes playfully. "Yes, greenie."
"If you say so, starlight." Lloyd smiled at her.
