Luckily that night he wasn't disturbed by troublesome dreams and was able to get a good night's rest. It was the first time he hadn't dreamed in a while, and he wondered if his stronger bloodline had something to do with it.
He really had no clue what was going on with his body right now.
The next day Chronos was sitting in his room carving runes into a small statue of a bear.
After returning to the mansion the previous night he had Head Butler Ronald buy it so he could prepare a gift for Chieftain Kalharn. A regular gift wouldn't work for an orc tribe as they believed in acquiring their own goods, weapons, and most of their clothes with their own hands.
Giving them something like a weapon or food would be seen as an insult to the tribe and unless the clothes were completely useless in combat it would be viewed as armor, which would also be an insult.
So instead of insulting them Chronos had chosen to make a piece of training gear for them.
He was currently using [Sever] to carve runes for emitting pressure into the small bear statue. By adding his blood to it once he was finished it would then act in a similar way as [Cold-Moon Pressure] and apply pressure to everyone around it.
Using this statue the tribe could train their youths' wills without sending them into battle.
Although he fully expected them to send them into battle anyways. Orcs were aggressive like that.
He finished carving the last rune then double checked all of them, making sure that the bear statue wouldn't accidentally go out of control and give off too much pressure.
Then he cut his finger, letting a single drop of blood land on the statue he activated it.
Pressure emanated from the bear, enough that it would be difficult for a rank 1 trainee to breathe or stand but not strong enough to harm them.
"Alright this should be the perfect gift for a chieftain."
"Done already? Then come eat lunch, we'll be landing shortly." Lyla said.
They had left early that morning before the sun had risen and had been flying at a rapid pace crossing a distance that would normally have taken five days on horseback in just twelve hours.
After they finished a late lunch Chronos felt the ship begin descending.
"Looks like we've arrived. Let's go take a look at the battle site. We're supposed to be able to see it from here." Lyla said as she skipped out of the door.
"Alright, I'm coming." Chronos said as he grabbed the bear statue.
Reaching the deck they looked to the south. They weren't able to see much from this distance, but Chronos could see tents and flags set up around a large circle of land that stretched into the distance.
It looked like the Bonecrusher tribe was surrounding what might have once been a large military camp. Although now he could barely see any ruins of that camp left, just empty white land.
...White?
It hadn't snowed recently and the plains were either a healthy green color or the brown of overturned earth. Where did this white color come from?
Then it dipped out of sight as the ship landed in a resting ground next to the road.
"We've landed. I can give you a few hours before we need to take off again, so make sure you're back before dark." The captain said as he lowered the gangplank for them.
"Thanks, we'll be back before then. Is everyone ready to go?" Chronos asked.
On this short journey Lyla, Sariah, and Gregory were joining him to deliver the Earl's message. They checked their gear one last time before walking towards the tribe.
Unfortunately, horses didn't take well to being on a flying ship.
Being airborne caused them to panic and damage whatever was around them at the time. As a result, the AA's had refused to bring horses with them in case they damaged the research equipment.
So, an hour later they found themselves walking up to a tribal camp with a ring of wooden stakes facing outward. On the far side of the camp, they could see a stone wall with orcs patrolling its upper rampart.
They were stopped at the opening that passed for a gate by a large orc man.
He stood at 2.5 meters tall, had dark green skin and multiple scars crisscrossed his face. He was missing one of his large frontal tusklike teeth and the same scar that took that tooth had also taken most of his nose.
"What are you doing here humans?" He asked in a gruff voice.
"I bring a message from Earl Malric and a gift for Chief Bonecrusher." Chronos responded as he held out the small bear statue.
The big orc looked at it then smirked.
"And what if he doesn't like your gift?"
"Then I'll punch his face in." Chronos said with a big grin.
His friends froze wondering if Chronos had really gone insane. Threatening to punch an orc chieftain in his own tribe didn't sound like a good idea to any of them.
The big orc looked surprised for a moment then he smiled, which worried Gregory even more.
Taking the small bear statue, he walked back into the camp while calling out to another orc to guard the gate.
They only had to wait a few minutes before a loud guffawing laugh resounded throughout the camp and an orc that was 3 meters tall came into view. He wasn't the largest orc but the rippling muscles on his body showed that he was definitely the strongest.
He was carrying a war hammer with a head that was nearly as big as his own chest and wore piecemeal leather armor with metal shoulder pauldrons. While he didn't have as many scars as the first guard, his arms had multiple long scars on them from where some large creature had nearly ripped them off.
"Which one of you claims he's going to punch my face in?" He yelled as he approached them attracting the attention of other orcs.
Chronos transformed into his werewolf form and raised his hand.
"That would be me." He said with a big grin while Gregory rubbed his temples in frustration.
Looking at the werewolf that was nearly as large as himself, Chieftain Kalharn's smile never left his face.
"Well lucky for you I do like your gift. This will help the children learn how to stand on their own." He hefted the small bear statue in one hand admiring the rune work on it. "Come into the camp, I'm told you have a message from the Earl for me and don't think you'll be leaving anytime soon. I still want that fight I was promised."
The gathered orcs laughed in excitement at getting to see the big boss fight again after a long time.
