Chronos leaned back into his chair.
"What exactly did you want us to tell them? And to whom?"
"I want you to visit Orc Chieftain Kalharn Bonecrusher. He is the local big boss of the eastern plains and can get my message to the rest of the tribes. As for the message I want you to inform him of the tears and request that he and his men take a closer look at the undead remnants that dot the eastern plains.
We've had relative peace for nearly two hundred years now. I don't want to find out that a tear formed in a place swarming with undead the hard way." he stated.
"I think we can do that, but I should warn you that His Majesty is a bit upset with how long it's taking me to reach the capital. If he's not close to our path, we won't have time to stop by."
"I understand. I'm also sending riders to his tribe, but it would take them almost a week to reach his camp whereas your ship could be there in a day. And after seeing what a tear was like personally yesterday, I don't want to wait. Normally they're just a bit south of the main road to the capital at an ancient battle site that we've never managed to cleanse."
That wasn't too far off their path, now he just needed to convince Micheal that there was a good reason to stop at an orc tribe.
Which might be pretty difficult given the violent reputation that orcs had. Add on that it was a known undead spawning site, and this wasn't going to be an easy conversation.
"Thank you for doing this for me and here, 10 large gild bars for your work."
"You don't need to pay me."
"I insist, you'll find that in that capital it is never a bad thing to have more money." Saying that he pushed the gild bars into Chronos's hand as he stood up. "Then I'll be on my way. I still need to send scouts out to the more distant nobles with a warning about the tears."
"Of course, be safe heading back."
Chronos bid him farewell then returned to the fourth underground level.
No matter how fast the Earl wanted to warn the orcs the ship wasn't leaving until tomorrow. Until then Chronos would be training to gain full control over his strength.
Although it wasn't easy, especially when Lyla and Sariah started dropping rocks from the top of the cliff, rock climbing did help him gain full control over his body once again.
However, unlike the usual tiredness he would feel from an intensive all-day workout he still felt refreshed.
He could feel the power emanating from his bloodline rejuvenating his tired body. And thanks to the intensive training today he could clearly feel the difference in his bloodline power.
Following it to the source he found that his ethereal second heart was pumping more power than usual.
That wasn't a good sign. He didn't know what would happen when his second heart had an unknown change like this.
Looking closer he found that the first chamber was still the same as always, faithfully pumping the power of space into his bloodstream. It was the second chamber, the one that handled void power, that had a significant change to it.
It had become much larger than before, large enough to rival his spatial chamber.
In the past it had been less than half the size of the spatial chamber and because of how faint void power was it made it undetectable to other people. Unless they were specifically looking for it or the void directly intruded on the world only the user would be able to detect any changes.
That explained why both Lyla and Sariah had failed to detect the change in his bloodline power.
"So that's what the white wolf did. He really did rebuild my body, but he built it to handle void better than in the past." Chronos thought to himself.
It might not be a good thing to tell the others given what he knew about the void.
He would have to carefully raise his spatial affinity if he didn't want the void to start changing his body. That way his power would stay balanced, and he would continue to be a werewolf instead of mutating into some weird creature.
Hm, he should also find ways to increase his aura faster, just in case.
Walking out the front door of the mansion he boarded his carriage and went to the ship next. Before he rested for the day, he wanted to work on convincing Micheal first.
Arriving at the ship he found that carts filled with food were being loaded onto the ship along with valuable research materials the AA's had found around Malark city.
Micheal was easy to find as he was organizing the chaos in front of the gangplank.
"Hey Micheal I have a request?"
"What is it?" He responded while distracted.
"Can we stop by an orc tribe a day's flight from here? They're near the main road that we'll be flying over."
"Okay."
"Wait! Seriously? I prepared a whole argument to try and convince you. Why are you giving in so easily?"
"Because I've already learned that trying to change your mind is extremely annoying and I know what tribe you're talking about too. We won't be landing anywhere close to their home, instead we'll be landing next to the main road, and you'll need to walk to their tribe."
Chronos wasn't sure what to say. He really hadn't thought Micheal would accept so easily.
"Is there a reason why you won't land closer?"
"That's because the undead battle site is too brutal. The Bonecrusher tribe is fighting all day and all night in that place. If we land close to the fighting, we could attract undead to the ship. Also, you'll need to kill any undead that follow you out of the tribe's encirclement."
"Got it. I'll let my party know and finish our preparations tonight."
