After the day ended, Kuma had dinner in the palace with Ars and his family. The next day, early in the morning they departed, a bit to the displeasure of Bonney who had been having a great time.
After that, things returned to normal for 2 days, where the new royal guard was introduced.
Ars called for Roygu2. When she arrived he introduced her to Roygu4.
"Roygu2 this is Roygu4, she was previously known as Alpha, she used to be a cp agent too, so i thought you might want to show her around, and 8fill her in, about your job."
Roygu2 nodded and replied.
"As you wish, your majesty. And my name besides Roygu2 is Byany."
Ars nodded and commented.
"You never said it so I didn't know."
She nodded and started leading her new coworker towards the exit while also starting to explain their duties and their rewards.
Ars thought about what he had to do for the day and realized that he was free, so he decided to go to the new planet to explore the place and inspect its development, it had been a while since he went there. Lately it was Reiju and Rachel that went the most, Reiju because she wanted to find if new plants they discovered could be used in medicine, Rachel was thinking of selling some of the products there.
He quickly traveled through the portal and started to check the city.
At first nobody noticed him, since he hadn't visited in a while and he was trying to stay away from the commotion that his presence would cause.
But it didn't take long before some people started noticing him, and soon enough a representative appeared.
The representative approached and quickly introduced himself.
"Your majesty, I am Num and I am here representing the city, to show you around it and the small villages around."
Ars nodded, he would prefer to explore freely but having someone show him the place wasn't bad either.
He started the tour, and they started moving towards the newest tavern that served the wine from one of the found fruits.
When they arrived, Ars was surprised that Rachel was there choosing drinks to buy. When she saw him she quickly approached him and said directly.
"Come help me choose a drink to sell!"
Before Ars could say anything she already pulled him to taste test the drinks.
He tasted them and was surprised, it was really good, he couldn't help but comment on it.
"This wine is amazing, it tastes really good, the smell also is nice and it has this ruby like color to it."
The tavern barman was also the winemaker, in this case it only meant he owned the trees, or some of them, that produced the fruit, but he was also the owner of the winery. The man said clearly.
"All wines here are produced by our newest fruit… We haven't decided on an official name, some people call them wooden grapes, some others, nature wine coconut and the other group calls it coconut grapes… Well there are some other groups but they are smaller."
Ars nodded and the barman added.
"On average each wine here should be aged for at least 10 years."
Ars was surprised so he asked.
"They are very good for only 10 years, the fruit can go way higher right?"
He nodded but before he could explain, Rachel answered first.
"Yes, but since we intend to sell them outside our country, we only intend to sell at maximum the 10 year ones. We kinda want to reserve the best ones for us…"
Ars laughed but nodded, indeed they weren't in need of money, so there was no need to sell the better ones… Well they weren't in dire need of money, but having more would facilitate things.
Ars and Rachel kept testing the wines and after a while they decided to sell one of the types. Apparently depending on the type of fertilizer they used the wine taste would change, sometimes completely.
After choosing Rachel bought the whole coconut and filled the bottles, then she ordered the bottles to be put in the basement of the palace, then she looked at Ars and said.
"Well, we are done here, are you coming back home or going on with your adventure?"
Ars smiled and replied with a sunny smile, while stealing glances at the representative.
"Adventure… I think… I had just arrived when I got caught…"
The representative that was accompanying him smiled a bit awkwardly, but he corrected.
"We still have a few places to visit before your majesty is free."
Ars flinched but nodded, he knew he should do this as the king.
The next stop was things he already knew but hadn't come to check the finished versions.
After he was done with those he finally moved towards the villages, for now there were 2 villages with 2 more ready to be built the moment they were needed.
The first village was a village that was focusing itself in lumber production, both for house building and ship building. The trees that were being used were massive trees that had a problem, it would take around 50 years for a tree to be a mature tree. But their numbers were huge, and they were also big enough that even with the entire village working on a tree it could take up to a few years to completely work it off. So for now they didn't need to worry about deforestation.
Next was the farm village where the raw material for the previous drinks was being farmed.
He saw people trying different manures or fertilizers, to get different flavours, and some were planting the seeds of the tree to get more plants. There were also other plants that he didn't know, but he didn't see the previous spicy one, so he asked.
"The previous spicy plant that was found in the wild is not being planted in farms?"
The representative shook his head and replied.
"We tried, for a while, but apparently that plant only grows in certain environments, and a single fruit lasts us for 2 or 3 years even with this many people, so it was decided by the community that it wasn't worth the effort."
Ars nodded, if the plant proved problematic it was indeed better to not waste time on it, this early in the city and country life, especially towards something that would be barely usable.
Ars thought this was the last thing he had to do, but the representative pulled him towards a room and gave him a paper with several different plant names they came up with, and then he requested.
"We would like it if your majesty could help us choose the final names for the new fruits and vegetables that we found in this new world until now!"
Ars smiled politely and asked.
"Shouldn't the person who found them, name them?"
The man smiled and explained.
"Most of the new discoveries were made by more than one person at the same time, since we send teams to explore, and those teams almost never agree with the name each of the members suggest…"
Ars smiled and replied calmly.
"Fine, bring it on!"
The man didn't bring a fruit straight away, as he explained.
"The first one, is our currently most precious and favorite fruit, your majesty probably already knows what I'm talking about. It's the fruit that creates our cherished drinks…"
Ars nodded, he knew what the fruit was and he agreed that it was quite precious, he commented.
"Can you confirm what the fruit does, to make sure nothing got left out?"
The representative nodded.
"Of course, to start with it, the plant grows in gigantic like trees that have vines dropping out of them, each vine normally produces a bunch of gigantic grapes enclosed in a wooden shell, each grape can get to the size of a large barrel, and inside the wooden shell, the drink matures several times faster, with the taste changing depending on the fertilizer used. And your majesty already heard the possible names."
Ars nodded, and thought about it, then he answered calmly.
"Let's go with coconut grapes."
The man nodded and Ars wrote the name on the paper, next they brought a new fruit.
This new fruit looked like a potato with spikes, and the representative started introducing it.
"While it looks like a strange potato, it isn't a vegetable but a fruit that grows on a small tree, and it's a sweet citrus fruit. Everyone is calling it either potato lemon or spiky potato…"
Ars smiled at the names, and replied.
"Very original names, but let's go with spiky potatoes…"
The representative said.
"There are 2 more plants to be named, and here is the next!"
The man put what appeared to be a rock with a beautiful flower decoration on top.
Ars looked at the representative strangely, and the representative got a knife and cut into the vegetable.
Ars couldn't help but comment, a bit amazed by the camouflage.
"Thats some good camouflage, I couldn't even tell it was a vegetable… It's a vegetable right!?"
The representative smiled and nodded, then he started explaining.
"This vegetable is a tuberous roots, it's taste is a mixture of, potatoes, cassava
and beet. It's quite sweet and popular with females and children. Most people are calling it red potato, or catatone."
Ars was surprised by the strange vegetable, but he replied quickly.
"Let's call it catatone, sounds more interesting than red potato."
The representative nodded and brought the last plant in, it had a jar-like appearance.
"The representative, this plant here is a bit different, it produces an oil capable of relaxing muscles and it's very slippery, it's excellent for massages, and something else, as your majesty will realize by the names… It's being called by the people either lover's oil or numbing back oil…"
Ars laughed then he asked.
"Are those titles related to what people use them for, other than massages?"
The man nodded, and explained a bit.
"Let's just say, the massages often lead to other kinds of fun."
Ars nodded and decided on the name, then he said it.
"Let's call it pounding oil instead, because with the massage having pounding and the following also having pounding involved the name just fits. "
The representative laughed but nodded, it indeed fit the product.
After that the representative let Ars go explore the surroundings by himself.
Ars flew over the same zones as before, but the land was a bit different, with colors different from before, Ars realized this side had seasons of the year better defined than the other side. There it was almost always the same temperature with variations but it never deviated too much. Here by the looks of it, Ars assumed it was fall.
He looked around for the animals he saw last time, but the majority was not here, and instead new animals had appeared.
The first animal he noticed was what looked like a white giraffe with an black afro. Unlike normal giraffes, it had 6 legs, with 2 frontal pairs, and 2 massive ones on the back.
As Ars was observing it, the giraffe used its head like a whip with a mace at its end to hit a tree. The tree shook hard and several black fruits fell, each fruit was the size of a basketball. And the giraffe used his head again to break the fruits and then started to eat the interior. Apparently that was no afro, but more like a helmet…
Ars approached to inspect the fruits, but as he got close and got a whiff of the smell the fruits produced, he shivered and ran away like his life depended on it… It stank so bad Ars didn't stop flying away for a few kilometers, he thought about it and commented very disgusted by the situation.
"That durian smell on steroids…God…"
He left to explore a different place, he realized that even if the previous animals weren't migratory they probably would migrate just to avoid that smell.
Ars moved towards a river not too far, and noticed a really big eel in the river, it was basking in the sun happily. While Ars was looking at it, the creature also noticed Ars, but seeing Ars not moving, just relaxing, the eel ignored him.
After a few minutes a group of fish approached the eel and attacked it, being caught by surprise, the eel got a bit injured, but then looked at its attackers with disdain and released a gel-like substance from its skin that slowly captured all of its attackers. Ars though the eel would now eat its attackers, but he was wrong, the eel started to freeze the gel, and fishes got frozen to death, after that the eel returned to relaxation, enjoying the sun.
