Reincarnated as a Fisherman and a Dad Chapter 190
In the end, their ten minutes expired, and the couple stepped out of the police station with dejected expressions.
"Emmanuel, no matter what, you must not disturb Tonto. We should keep it that way."
"I know."
'It's not the right time to contact him anyway. The Chairman of the Alejandro Conglomerate is still alive, and Tonto still hasn't inherited anything. When will that old man die anyway?' Emanuel gritted his teeth.
"I have another plan."
"What is it?"
"We will contact Karlos."
"Him? Is that guy even alive?" Delilah frowned.
"If he has money, we can force him to give it to us. If he doesn't have money, we can convince him to sell his organs instead."
"Will that even work?"
"Do we even have a choice? I'll contact my brother and cousins. In case they find Karlos, they will inform us. My brother can deal with him," Emmanuel explained. He knew what he was doing was wrong, and he sometimes felt guilty about it. But it was too late to back down. He hoped he won't regret it later.
"Alright." After thinking about it, Delilah felt like exploiting Karlos was a better choice than disrupting Tonto's peaceful life. As long as Tonto was living his life in happiness, Delilah was satisfied.
"Karlos should do that much at least. We provided him with food and shelter for 18 years, the least he can do is help us whenever we need him," Delilah added.

"Hakari never acquired Reverse Cursed Technique, but the infinite cursed energy overflowing in Hakari's body caused his body to reflexively perform Reverse Cursed Technique to avoid damage. In other words, in the 4 minutes and 11 seconds following a jackpot, Hakari is effectively immortal."
"Whoa!"
Iñigo and Arabella listened to their father's story. Particularly Iñigo, who found his father's storytelling deeply captivating. He didn't understand what cursed energy was, but he found the concept amazing.
Every night, the twins would ask Karlos to tell them stories. At first, Karlos told them classic fairytales, but the number of fairytales he knew was quite limited. So, he decided to tell them about the manga he had read instead, such as Jujutsu Kaisen, Naruto, and One Piece.
If he ever ran out of manga plots to share, he knew he could tap into his knowledge of light novels and web novels like Lord of the Mysteries, Mirror Legacy, and Hollywood: Behind The Spotlight. The last novel was absolutely peak, by the way.
The kids listened intently as Karlos described the events with enthusiasm. Karlos only stopped once the children began to grow sleepy.
"You want to sleep now? Alright, we can continue the story tomorrow instead. Here, let me take you to your crib."
"No!"
Karlos was about to lift Arabella, but the little girl protested.
"Sweep here! Mama, Papa, I want to sweep here with you!" she said.
"Me too!" Iñigo eagerly nodded. "The cwib is cowd."
"The crib is cold?"
"Hm." The twins nodded in unison.
"Well, it's already November," Maya muttered. November marked the beginning of the colder weather in their country, this was also the season when salmon and tuna became abundant in their region.
Maya and Karlos exchanged a look... Once the twins fell asleep in their crib, the couple usually used that quiet moment to get intimate with each other.
But if the twins decided to sleep with them in their bed, it meant they wouldn't be able to get lovey-dovey... The bed frame slightly creaked whenever they tried.
Maya faced a minor dilemma. Of course, she wanted to sleep with her children, but she also wanted to enjoy some alone time with Karlos.
"We can go to the living room once they are asleep," Karlos offered as an alternative.
"Okay, let's do that. Kids, you can sleep with us."
"Yay!" The twins were overjoyed that they could sleep right next to their parents. Now that the weather had turned chilly, the warmth of their parents was the best thing in the world to them.
Being young children, they quickly drifted off to sleep nestled between their parents.
Once the little ones were completely asleep, Maya and Karlos adjusted their plans. Maya tucked their blanket in securely, ensuring the twins were comfortable and warm.

Karlos and his team had secured a remarkably stable income after upgrading their small bangka to a mid-sized vessel. The old bangka was returned to Joseph. They hired a flatbed truck to transport the boat back, leaving Joseph with no choice but to accept it. Perhaps his family could make use of it later.
After realizing that deploying 100 hooks was too much for their boat to handle safely, the three men agreed to scale back to 70 hooks. Their targets remained large, high-value fish that commanded excellent prices, particularly tuna.
In fact, they managed a steady harvest of about 10 adult yellowfin tuna during every single voyage. Their profit per sail averaged around 400,000 pesos, an amount that left them incredibly happy and satisfied. Additionally, they were able to return to shore quite early, spending only 4 to 6 hours at sea per trip. They didn't have to wait long because their longline setup attracted large fish remarkably fast.
From September through November, they accumulated a total of 18 million pesos... Yes, they had earned that staggering amount over the course of about three months. If not for the heavy rainy season that hit their region in October, that figure might have easily doubled.
Still, 18 million pesos was a massive fortune for three individuals. Karlos and the others agreed that they should keep their massive earnings quiet. They wanted to avoid drawing unnecessary jealousy from the community if possible. Their quality of life improved dramatically, and all three households showed clear signs of newfound prosperity. The three men were deeply gratified to see their families living the good life.
And now, Karlos, Brandon, and Andres were once again out in the middle of the open sea to bring in another catch. December was just three days away, and the salmon season was clearly beginning to show signs of life. In fact, they had already landed a couple of salmon today.
"If the salmon season officially arrives, our profits might be affected in either a good or bad way," Karlos stated after performing some quick mental math.
