Chapter 47 - Chapter 47: Voice from the Mirror

"We are all made of echoes.

Some bounce back.

Others break through."

—Unknown Echo-Skyler, Timeline Reversal Codex

---

After the Reformatters fled and the Nexus trembled into silence, the Seventh Seal hovered above Skyler's flame like a quiet curse.

It didn't burn.

It reflected.

A silvery, swirling sigil suspended in the void—shaped like an inverted eye, constantly refracting light that shouldn't exist.

☍ — The Unwritten Memory

---

Aelira stared at it.

"That's not flame.

That's… mirror energy."

Eon stepped back.

"Be careful, Sky.

Mirror sigils… they trap Echoes.

Not just of you…

But of what you could've become."

---

Skyler didn't flinch.

He reached up—touched the Seal—

And the world split.

---

The Archive fell away.

The Nexus shattered again.

Aelira and Eon faded into echoes.

Skyler fell through flameglass, descending into a mirrored spiral of memory.

---

He landed on cracked obsidian.

A long hall stretched ahead—lined with mirrors, each pulsing faintly.

Some showed him as a child.

Others as a killer.

One mirror showed him burning the multiverse.

Another showed him erasing himself to save Aelira.

He moved forward—toward the only mirror that didn't reflect anything.

Just darkness.

And then it spoke.

"So... you made it this far."

"I was wondering when you'd come to kill me."

---

Skyler stepped closer.

"Who are you?"

The mirror rippled.

And out stepped a boy his age—with his face, his flame, and a wound down the center of his chest, sealed with voidlight.

He wore a broken seal around his neck.

Eyes dim.

Voice dry.

"I'm the Skyler who failed."

"I unlocked the Seventh Seal… and lost everyone."

"I burned too fast. Loved too much.

And now I live here—in your shadow."

---

Skyler narrowed his eyes.

"You're not real."

The Echo-Skyler chuckled bitterly.

"Neither are you."

"We're all just stories the multiverse couldn't forget."

---

They circled each other.

Each move was mirrored.

Every breath synced.

Until finally—Skyler saw it.

The real danger.

This wasn't a memory.

This was a prison.

A trap inside the Seventh Seal meant to keep Skyler from remembering a truth so dangerous, even flame couldn't contain it.

---

The Echo-Skyler grinned.

"If you absorb me, you'll remember everything."

"What Orias did. What Aeria gave up. What Aelira will become."

"You'll unlock the Final Memory Thread. The last key."

"But you'll also inherit my pain.

My choices.

My mistakes."

"You will become what I was."

---

Skyler took a breath.

He looked at the mirror.

At the choices ahead.

And then…

He stepped into the reflection.

And embraced himself.

---

For a second, every version of Skyler Novaah cried out at once.

Hundreds.

Thousands.

Dying.

Falling.

Fighting.

Remembering.

---

And then—silence.

The Seventh Seal ignited.

Skyler fell forward onto both knees, flames flickering wild around his heart.

When he looked up—

His eyes were different.

One still glowed red.

But the other now reflected stars.

Every possible future.

---

Eon and Aelira reappeared in a burst of static.

"Skyler?" Aelira asked, stepping forward.

He smiled faintly.

"I remember… everything."

"Even the parts we were never meant to know."

---

The Seventh Seal rotated once.

Then folded inward.

And a voice—ancient, distant, final—whispered:

"The Last Flame now flickers."

"Prepare the Archive Core."
