Chapter 46 - Chapter 45: Novaah Legacy: Hunted

"We were not meant to survive.

We were meant to burn long enough to forget what hunted us.

But now… we burn with purpose."

—Skyler Novaah

---

The Fireborn Nexus trembled.

Not from Skyler's steps, but from the arrival of something that didn't belong—a presence older than memory and alien to flame.

The creature that emerged was not god, not beast, not machine.

It was the Archivore.

A devourer of preserved truths.

A being created to hunt Witnesses across forgotten timelines—especially those who remembered too clearly.

Its voice was static and storm, thunder layered with whisper.

"Skyler Novaah.

You are out of alignment with designated narrative.

Correction is required."

---

Skyler narrowed his eyes.

"You want to erase me?"

"We do not erase," it replied.

"We un-write.

You, Witness, are a narrative error.

You re-thread fate through broken flame.

And you must be contained."

---

Eon grabbed Skyler's shoulder.

"We can't fight it yet—not here.

It's made from exiled memory scripts.

It feeds on Archive instability!"

Aelira nodded, sweat beading on her brow.

"The Nexus called it.

Our flame is too exposed."

But Skyler took a step forward.

"Then let it come."

---

The Archivore lunged.

The entire Nexus shattered under the force—flame-paths rupturing into glass spirals. The entity surged, trying to latch onto Skyler's memory threads.

But Aelira acted first.

She screamed.

Not in fear, but in Flame-Tongue.

"Unwrite this."

---

A wall of ancestral fire erupted between Skyler and the Archivore.

Not hers alone—but from every Novaah that ever lived.

Flickering shadows of Witnesses—warriors, scholars, martyrs—appeared within the fire. Not physical. Not ghosts. Just memory fragments awakened by her scream.

They spoke in unison:

"We burn so he may rise."

---

Skyler felt his chest pulse.

The Fifth Seal blazed brighter, imprinting itself into his spine.

He was becoming more than a Witness.

He was becoming a Memory Core.

---

The Archivore hissed.

"You rewrite the code with every breath.

You carry too much.

You will collapse."

Skyler looked up.

"Then let me burn."

---

He thrust both hands forward—merging his flame with Aelira's ancestral fire.

The resulting surge hit the Archivore mid-lunge—piercing it with truth-memories it couldn't digest.

Each one was a moment it had erased—and now had to feel again.

A Witness child begging not to be forgotten.

A Novaah burned at the stake in Timeline 27-Reverse.

Orias screaming as his own Council tore his memories apart.

The Archivore howled.

Not from damage.

But from overload.

---

"You remember too well," it screamed.

Skyler's voice was steel.

"That's the point."

And with one final command, he triggered the Nexus Lockdown.

The Archivore was sealed—not destroyed, but trapped in an echo loop. For now.

---

Aelira fell to her knees again, exhausted.

Eon looked pale.

Skyler stood alone at the center of the ruined Nexus.

The Seal above him shifted.

It became a door.

A portal.

To the Sixth Seal.

And behind that door

The lost realm of the First Flame.

The sealed truth of the Unreduced Blood.

And the one Witness who died before the Novaah name was ever written.
