The arrow landed in front of the unique.
It was Sir Kai who shot the arrow . Laf and Stela were also with him .
Laf was looking at the unique with confusion, meanwhile Stela was calm.
Looks like Buram is a magnet for entries.
Looking at the unique, Sir Kai said, "Stela, wait for it to move away from the boulder. Then, when I say, go check on Buram."
Stela was holding a leather bag that seemed heavy.
She avoided looking directly into the unique's eyes to avoid its gaze and replied, "YES!"
The unique roared with anger, stomping the ground. Then suddenly, it rushed toward them.
Sir Kai took an arrow out of his quiver. Aimed at the unique's head. And released it.
It was a normal arrow, but the unique still deflected it with its horns.
"Tsk," Laf reacted.
Invisir let out a howl—and disappeared.
Sir Kai looked at Laf. "Looks like it can disappear. It must be Invisir . Go up a tree and call out even the slightest unusual movement."
Laf stood there, looking for a tall tree. It was right beside another boulder.
Laf climbed the tree and started scanning for any movement.
Meanwhile, Sir Kai held another arrow, ready to shoot.
This arrow was again an ordinary one—not like the one he used to kill the flying entry.
Stela stayed calm and ready, holding the bag, waiting for the moment the unique would be spotted and Sir Kai would give the order.
The clouds started to cover the sun, and birds made chirping sounds.
Then—
Suddenly, Laf shouted, "NEAR THE BUSH OF ROSIRE FLOWERS!"
(Rosire flowers are red flowers similar to roses.)
Sir Kai fired instantly toward the bushes.
The arrow hit the unique's leg, forcing it to become visible again.
It tried to disappear again, but it was of no use. This time, it was bleeding. The arrow had hit the injury it got from Buram's trap.
Even though it was invisible, Sir Kai managed to hit it. Now blood from its wound made it easy to track.
The Invisir started to crush boulders with its horns and throw them at them.
They managed to dodge it all, but it was difficult for Laf and Stela to keep track of the unique's movement—not for Sir Kai.
He noticed how the unique was taking a route through dense bushes.
And ordered, "Go, Stela. It's mad and won't notice you if you don't look at it."
Stela ran, keeping distance from Invisir and avoiding its attention.
The creature howled again—this time louder, more furious—as it charged straight toward Sir Kai, filled with rage, not even noticing the thorns in its path.
Sir Kai held a dark arrow this time. It was sharp and dark . He aimed carefully—but he didn't shoot.
There was no silence, but Laf could still hear his own heartbeat.
Sir Kai relaxed, waiting.
Closer… closer… closer…
Then—
He released the arrow.
The wind moved with the arrow, as if guiding it to its target.
The dark arrow seemed to disappear under the darkness of the clouds.
Thud!
The body collapsed to the ground, raising dust. The arrow had pierced through the Invisi's head.
Sir Kai walked toward the Invisi and retrieved the arrow.
"Looks like it wasn't of a higher grade. Sad—Buram's partner is dead now," Laf said, with a grin on his face.
Sir Kai looked at Laf and said, "Yeah, it was just Grade 2. Now stop grinning and go check on Buram. I'll bring the guards to take the body."
Even though these were monsters, they were also valuable resources—used for meat, hide, and rare gems that were found only in uniques.
Sir Kai walked off, cleaning his arrow with a cloth.
Meanwhile, Stela reached Buram and was surprised to see the dragon with him—unharmed and licking his cheek.
"Stop, stop, you damn bastard!" Buram shouted.
Stela smiled slightly. "Looks like you two are getting along well."
"Shut up and check on her first," Buram said, holding the creature toward her.
"Yeah, yeah," said Stela calmly, with a smile.
Stela opened her bag, which contained medicines, bandages, and prepared food for the small dragon.
The dragon didn't seem to have any injuries, but it was still quite tired.
After examining her, Laf arrived.
"Looks like Kai got rid of it. Where is he?" Buram asked.
Laf grinned. "Yeah, Sir Kai handled it. Good thing it was a low-grade unique."
"By the looks of it, I'd say it was only Grade 2," Stela added.
"Buram, come here," Stela said after finishing her examination of the dragon.
Laf noticed the cuts on Buram's legs and asked, "Why do you have cuts?"
"My leg got tangled in vines, but that little rascal helped me by cutting them with its claws," Buram replied.
Buram glanced at the sky—it was getting dark.
"Take the dragon back to the treehouse before Kai returns with guards. It'll be trouble if they see it," Buram said.
Suddenly, the dragon screeched and tried to attack the dead unique.
"Hey, come back!" Laf said, picking her up.
"I'll take her. You two come later." Laf said while holding up the dragon in his arms.
Stela and Buram nodded from the boulder.
Later that night, Stela and Buram climbed into the treehouse.
Stela emptied her bag, giving food to everyone.
Laf stored the extra supplies while Buram and the dragon ate happily, stuffing their mouths with food.
"Looks like we're all agreeing to keep her, right, Buram?" Stela asked.
"Yoh, I NeBer haBd any PloBem weTh hEr," Buram said while chewing.
Buram swallowed his food and asked, "How did you know the unique was here and brought Kai?"
"We didn't know. We just happened to meet him on our way to the treehouse. He told us an entry had appeared," said Stela.
"It was a Grade 2 unique called Invisir. Sir Kai told us," said Laf.
"That low, huh? I hoped it would be at least 3rd grade," said Buram as he began to stuff his mouth with food again.
"That's pretty low. According to our school books, entries are graded based on their power, number, and intelligence, and judging by that unique, it didn't seem to have high intelligence," said Stela.
"Well, the lowest grade is Grade 1—an entry—and uniques start at Grade 2. The highest grades recorded in history were Grade 4 for the horde of Camry wolves and Grade 5 for dragons," said Laf.
Both Buram and Stela looked at the dragon chewing on the food.
"Skeeeeww," the dragon made a sound.
Laf looked at the dragon with wide eyes as he finished placing items in the cupboard and joined them.
"Well, that's the first time she made a proper sound. Looks like food refueled you a lot, huh?" said Laf.
"We can't keep calling her 'the dragon'," Stela said.
Buram stopped chewing and said proudly, "Let's name her… The Destroyer."
Both Laf and Stela stared at him. Even the dragon looked confused and disappointed.
"Let's ignore him," Stela said.
Laf nodded.
Even the dragon nodded.
"Let's name her Cambi," she added.
"Not fitting," Buram replied.
They glared at each other.
"Cambi."
"Destroyer."
"CAMBI."
"DESTROYER."
"CAM—"
"DEST—"
Meanwhile, the dragon continued eating peacefully.
"Let's name her Skew," Laf interrupted.
The dragon made a soft sound, "ayieen," looking at him.
"Looks like she chose your name," Stela said.
"Huff… I still liked Destroyer, but Skew works," Buram admitted.
They all smiled, looking at Skew.
Well… looks like there's another party member now.
"So this is where you've all been," Sir Kai's voice came from behind.
"And this is the entry… I knew something was off."
All three of them froze, as the dragon looked at Sir Kai with innocent eyes.
WHAT IS THIS DAMN BASTARD DOING HERE?
"You thought something bad about me, didn't you, Laf?" Sir Kai said calmly.
His dark eyes felt like a void, his hair moving slightly in the night wind coming through the open door.
