Chapter 9 - ALPHA JAXON

"This is your home now, this is your pack and stop whining to go back to your previous pack, because that will never be going to happen." Dalton hated it whenever she talked about her old pack. This was her pack now, her home. She should stop talking about her small, pitiful pack.

"No, this is not!" Meera screamed, she was almost in tears and this only showed how stubborn she was.

Meera was trying to push him away, as she still stood between the alpha and the door and with this proximity, Dalton could smell her intoxicating scent, which he couldn't help, but kissed her neck, where he had put his mark on her.

Meera yelped when Dalton's warm tongue licked her skin and this made her whole body shuddered involuntarily.

"What do you think you are doing!?" Meera began to panic when Dalton's strong arms held her waist and pressed her body against his to the door.

"You are the one, who wants me to stay," Dalton said in hoarse voice, he looked feral at this moment and this scared her, especially when his hand felt her body. She felt uncomfortable. This was the first time for someone to lay their hand in her body in such intimate way. "Tell me, is there anyone touch you like this?"

Dalton cupped her breast gently and this made Meera breathed raggedly. She was surprised by this sudden movement and her face turned red.

However, before she could say anything, all of her protest was swallowed by his kiss. His tongue caressed her lips, coaxed her to open her mouth, while his hand skillfully handled her body.

At this point, Meera couldn't say whether she would moan or complain when she opened her mouth, but when she thought she would lose her mind and her legs started to give away, Dalton held her waist tightly and moved her body around, afterward he broke the kiss between them, which left her in dazed.

And the moment she opened her eyes, she was no longer standing behind the door, to prevent Dalton from going out of the room.

However, the second thought that came to her mind was; how embarrassing it was. She was mortified. What had happened?

It happened less than a minute, but she still could feel his warm tongue against her lips and the way he touched her, like no one did.

Her face flushed red and she took a step back, she was afraid with the man in front of her. His eyes were so dark, which meant his beast was lurking behind his human façade.

"I will not repeat myself, so behave," Dalton said in his alpha voice. He looked at her menacingly before he walked out of the room and slammed the door behind him, which made her jolted in fear.

He looked angry, but she couldn't understand why he was so angry when it was her, who didn't get what she wanted.

Meera felt so terrified when she realized what she had done and what had happened. How could she let him to do that to her?

And to her ashamed, she was quite like it with the way he touched her, the spark between them was real. The spark that she only got from her own mate, even though he forced the bond between them.

After that incident, Meera had never seen Dalton anymore, but the gamma would come occasionally. He was a young man with brown hair and looked very cheerful if you compared him with Dalton or Collin and Meera was comfortable with his company.

"Darren, can I go out?" Meera asked one day when Darren, the gamma, visited her room. She had been here for almost two months and her ceremony to be the luna of the pack would be held three days from now, but aside from Margie, Collin and Darren, she had never met anyone.

Meanwhile, Dalton had never visited her again. She didn't know what was wrong with him, or what she had done wrong in his eyes.

However, whenever she asked anyone whether she could call her family or not, they would give her a sad look and tell her that she couldn't call them because it was the alpha's order and they couldn't go against his wish.

"I have been locked in this room for almost two months. I want to see this pack," Meera said in wistful tone. She pleaded at Darren with her eyes, which made the gamma scratched the back of his head.

"I need to ask the alpha first before I can decide that," he said in regretful tone. "But, I don't get your hope too high," he said in warning tone, because he didn't want to see her disappointed look, even though he doubted the result was to her liking.

Meera nodded dismissively and then stared at the window again, she didn't have much hope if Darren said that.

"You can't lock her forever inside the room," Collin sighed dispiritedly. He had given the alpha an earful, but he was too stubborn to listen to him. "There is nothing will happen to her. We have strengthened our protection and this pack is much stronger than we are years ago, thanks to you."

There was a sarcastic tone in the end of Collin's sentence when he thanked Dalton, which didn't go unnoticed by him, but he didn't care much about it.

The alpha simply chose to ignore him like he always did.

Dalton was hellbent to not let Meera stepped out of the room, because he believed a certain someone would harm her, which did not make any sense for Collin, since his brother had long gone, yet Dalton still had this believe that he would come.

However, even if he returned, what he could do? This pack could be easily said as one of the strongest packs in this realm right now.

"She keeps asking about you." Collin slouched on the sofa and then glared at Dalton disapprovingly. "At the very least, you can come and talk to her."
