One day in Mage class 3 Cinister was sitting learning about different thing
"So there's 3 styles of fighting. Number 1 - Nexus and Class where you just use your given element. Number 2 - If you don't have a Nexus or a Class you can use Blessing Stones to gain abilities to pick up the slack for the missing element or class and Finally Curses which feed on your Nexus and Class and give you unique abilities" Cinister wrote in his notebook
"Why are you working so hard I mean most of the students are here just to slack off" Ivy whispered
"Because I wanna compete in the Winter Event" Cinister responded
"Are you insane?!" Ivy's eyes widened as she blurted out
"Please be quiet or I will send you two into detention" The Teacher remarked as she continues explaining the different ways of fighting
"Couldn't keep your excitement there, could you" Cinister responded in an annoyed tone
"Sorry but you do know that the Winter Event will be a whole universe this time around?" Ivy asked him
"What?" Cinister snapped his head "A whole universe? Wasn't it supposed to be as big as a planet"
"Well because of the influx of Scalers the Winter Event has gotten bigger" Ivy said
The bell rings and everyone started packing their things
"Thanks for your information and concern but even if it's a whole multiverse I will conquer it" Cinister said as he picked up his bag and started heading towards the cafeteria
Cinister walked into the large cafeteria, filled up to the brim with students waiting in lines to get their food. You could see the rays from the setting sun penetrate through the windows. The room was separated in two parts at this time of the day- the first part was near the windows which were positioned next to the entrance of the academy.That part was affected mainly by natural light and the other by electricity. Cinister found Alya and Ragna in the entrance-side of the cafeteria. He always knew that Alya had liked natural light more.
"Yoo so how has the school been treating you?" Cinister asked as he sat down on the white table
"It's fine but kinda soul crushing to realize that I'm only good enough for class 2" Alya said as she looked down
"Yeah I hate it here" Ragna said "There's no clue for the sword of devotion and all my classmates delinquent nobodies who are all weak"
"Thought as much but I can't lie it is nice to learn some things about it" Cinister replied
"Yooo" A short, with red short straight hair students throws his hand over Ranga's shoulder
"You have one second to get your hand of my shoulder before I slice it off" Ragna said as he put his palm on the hilt of the blade
"Wow calm down now I'm just trying to make conversation" The guy backs off with a quick jump
"Who are you and what do you want" Cinister asked
"My name is Enots and I just wanna make some friends" he said with a smile on his face
"My name is Alya" She replied and pointed towards the other two Fangra "He is Ragna and that's Cinister"
We cut to Choi who was getting ready to spar
*RING*
"Let the fight begin!" The overseer said
While both of them were closing the distance between each other their classmates were whispering about them.
"Who are those bums bro? One of them has been in the academy for 6 months and doesn't have a single friend and the other one just entered the school." Said a student
"I don't know anything except that this fight is gonna be tragic!" Some guy replied
If we are going to fight let's go all out said Choi as he cast [gale maelstrom]
In an instant everybody in and near the arena had trouble moving except the overseer and teacher.
While Fungo was struggling to stand Choi activated the ability of his shield not knowing it even had one. "Oh what this thing has an ability. Well let's see what it can do" He said
After that the shield came out of his hand and began spinning around its user at exactly 157 km/h.
"Well I cannot attack with this so.. [Windblade]" cast Choi
"Really a normal blade of wind" Fungo said as he caught it "I have to say you have a good shield and a nice slowing down move but your offence is below"
"Damn I should have known that a simple wind of blade wouldn't cut it" Choi muttered to himself
"Too slow" Fungo said as he boosted his speed and strength with [Electric Charge] and launched an onslaught of attacks with his bat at his opponent
"[Blessing of Swap]" Choi changed positions with the shield making him dodge the attack
"Stupid brat" the Voltbrant commander said as he swung his bat at Choi
CLANG
The shield blocked the attack aimed Choi "Damn unlike the outrageous shield that Allen gave me I can use some this shield's abilities"
"You bore me to my core" he said while swinging the bat back and fourth
"Trying the same attack on me?" Choi said as the shield got into place to block the attack
The bullied student smirked "Retract" the bat became smaller dodging the shield
"What the" Choi was left speechless
"Extend" the student uttered
BOOM
The bat quickly grew in height and smacked Choi in the gut.
Choi grunted as he held his stomach
"Damn it I still can't inflict any damage" Choi said "My abilities suck, my spells suck everything I do is not enough"
Suddenly Choi felt a brief but strong headache which is a common occurrence when a non-eldrich climber receives a raise of the mastery of a skill.
"Ouch!?" Choi grunted as he looked into his spell book for part of the second
[Wind Prison] -> [Coffin of the Wind]
"Looking at your spells?" the student asked "You have nothing that can defeat me"
"Even this?" Choi replied as he stood on one knee
"[Coffin of the Wind]!" Choi casted
"Huh?" the students said as chains come out of the ground and trap him
CLANK
A cage with spikes made of wind appears behind him
"Oh no!" he screamed as the cage closed on him and making him unconscious
"Match over, the winner is Choi Woo" The overseer said in a blank voice.
While Choi was going back to the locker room Fungo was being carried out to the nurse's office.
After the sparring class was held all classmates returned to their class without Fungo of course.
TOWER OF SCALING: ADDITIONAL FLOOR
"So you finally got a new move after 50ish chapters" Cinister asked Choi
"Yeah it's pretty cool" he replied
"AIght hit me" Cinister said as he opened his arm out
"Okay [Coffin of the Wind]!" the tanker casted and the shield closes on Cinister
"Damn that hurt a lot" Cinister said "But do you wanna see a cooler move?"
"Sure I don't min-" Choi was Interrupted
