As Cinister enters he couldn't believe his eyes.
"Yo Cinister long time no see" Allen said welcoming him into the Practice Room
"Allen what are you doing here?" Cinister asked while in a defensive posture
"Well you'd be surprised but the next 10 floors don't have a suficient training space" Allen said
"Training? Why would you of all people need training?" Cinister asked
"It's not for me" Allen replied as he points to Scrappy and Choi getting beaten up by Yoake
"You're strike is too shallow" Yoake said as he kicked Scrappy into a tree "And you should support more, Choi!"
"Kinda hard when Scrappy is like a mouse" Choi clapped back
"Did you just talk back?" Yoake said as he activated a trap sending Choi flying
"As you can see it's not going well" Allen voiced
"Who is that?" Cinister pointed to the weird looking guy
"Oh that's Yoake he is a friend of mine" Allen said
"Not a friend you dumbass" Yoake chimmed in
"Yeah yeah keep saying that" Allen responded back "But back on track want a little sparing match against me?"
"Nah I'm good not trying to get bodied today" Cinister replied trying to wise dodge out of the fight
"Come on it'd be fun" Allen said trying to persuade him into fighting
"Sure but first let me warm up" Cinister replied
"Yo you can try to spar with Yoake" Allen suggested trying to sound caring
"I did not agree to this" Yoake voiced "I don't even know who he is"
"Too bad you're fighting him" Allen said as he pushed Yoake in the sparing arena "You should also get going, Cinister"
Cinister goes to the sparing room to see Yoake who is already prepared to fight him.
"So what's your Nexus Yake" Cinister said
"First it's Yoake and second I'm a Knight/Dustbreaker" he replied with a bit of anger in his tone
"Well I'm Ignivar/Mage/Support" Cinister added with a smirk on his face
"An Eldritch!?" Yoake was stunned "How is that fair"
The match starts by Cinister who uses [Jetburst] to close the distance but Yoake was prepared and used a trap to block Cinister's kick. The trap succefully stopped the momentum of Cinister's attack. Ceasing the moment Yoake shoved his spear into Cinister's shoulder and slammed him into the ground.
Then Yoake started spamming spear thrusts into Cinister leaving him with 10 holes in his body.
"I was unsure at first but you're kinda weak" Yoake said as he continued with the thrust
"[Ashen Veil]" Cinister casted making a small semi-sphere which made Yoake back off from him
"This little trick of yours won't help" Yoake voiced his opinion
Then Cinister came out of the semi-circle with a [Jetburst] sending Yoake into a wall. The recoil hit Yoake hard making him look at the ground.
Then Yoake looks up to see Cinister who was running at him.
"Dumbass I got you" Yoake said as a trap activates trapping Cinister into a bind
"Now you'll die" Yoake continued as he jabbed a spear in Cinister's head.
Unfortunately for Yoake that was [Vex Flame] which was cast when Yoake was knocked into the wall and when he looked down for a good few seconds
"Dammit" Yoake groaned as he was blinded.
Then Cinister who was chilling in the air by using [Jetburst] came down and pinned Yoake to the ground
"Match set," Allen said, signaling the end of the fight.
"Looks like you've improved," he added with a nod.
"Well, it's kind of unfair to Yoake, he needs prep time," Cinister replied.
"You figured that out from just one attack?" Yoake chimed in.
"I mean… it's kind of hard not to," Cinister shrugged.
"Alright, alright. Time for a sparring match against me," Allen said, stepping forward.
"Sure. Let's go," Cinister answered without hesitation.
They quickly cleaned up the sparring room. Moments later, Cinister and Allen stood across from each other, both ready for a rematch since the tournament.
Cinister moved first.
"[Vex Flame]" he muttered, launching the clone at Allen at lightning speed.
"Hm… I'll play your game" Allen said calmly.
In a flash, he cut down the fake Cinister, the illusion shattering, blinding the real one for a split second and suppressing his stats.
But Cinister had already anticipated it.
Using the opening, he dashed forward and struck Allen with a sharp one-two combo.
Before Allen could fully recover
"200%… [Fire Gun]!"
A blazing shot erupted from Cinister's hand, aimed straight at Allen's face, expecting, at the very least, to leave a mark.
"Nice attack" was heard inside the smoke which was created from the fire shot.
As the smoke started to slowly drift away, it revealed an unharmed Allen who took the attack face first.
"But against me it's just futile" Allen explained as he cut Cinister's arm at a faster speed then before
"How'd you get faster!" Cinister asked clutches his a severed arm
"Ah I forgot to tell you" Allen shrugged "Blessing of the Curse"
"What's that" Cinister quickly asked as he jumped back
"It basically makes all debuffs into buffs for me" Allen explained "I guess one of you're spells put a debuff to my speed but because of the of my blessing it made me faster"
"Of course you do" Cinister replied
"And one more thing" Allen said "No matter what you do I could always reach you"
In a nanosecond Allen places his hand on Cinister's head.
"Yeah I give up" Cinister said as he used [Ashen Veil] to heal his arm
"Come on I used one attack" Allen said
"And one attack is all you need" Cinister replied not wanting to continue the batlle
"Match set" Yoake said "That's enough Allen we need to train Choi and Scrappy for the Academy"
"Academy?" Cinister looked confused as he repeated the word
"Oh you don't know the Academy on the 26th floor" Allen responded "It's a school where you can spend up to 3 years studying about spells, tactics and the upper floors"
"Oh that sounds kinda nice" Cinister replied
"Also they keep a stash of blessing stones for students that graduate from the Academy" Allen explained
"Anyway I need to go now but it was fun" Allen said as he continued training with Scrappy and Choi
"I guess I should train my spells to unlock mastery 2 on all of my spells" Cinister said to himself
Then right on cue Ragna and Alya came behind him
"Yo Cini" Alya said
Cinister jumps lightly "Don't sneak up on me"
"Oh hi Ragna" Cinister said as he look at Ragna
"Ready to train for the next floor?" Ragna asked
"Of course" he said as the 3 of them take turns sparing eachother
