When the torrent of lightning bolts ceased, the Azure lightning crocodile dived back into the water and swam to the boat. It nudged and spun it, making it face the direction it had came back from before descending again.
Bael stood up covering his noise as he tried to find the Azure crocodile to no avail. The smell of burnt wood filled the air as smoke obscured his vision.
Dammit, first the mermaid queen and now you. The commander's going to kill me for letting you two get so strong.
Bael glanced around the boat trying to find any sign of light through the thick smoke. Glancing up he froze when he loosly thought he saw a hole in the barrier he had managed to summon last minute.
Carefully, he walked over the supposed hole. When he reached close enough to see it properly, his heart sank.
Shit! I didn't close it fast enough. But why isn't the boat sinking then. There should be a hole here.
In one swift motion, Bael swung his hand infront of him with so much force that it created a gust of wind, clearing the smoke on and around the ship.
Bael's eyes widened. Right under the hole stood Shin, his back charged as his muscles and spine were exposed. A pool of black and red blood beneath him with Satel and Gema wrapped around each other.
He took a direct blast! But why aren't Satel and Gema affected.
Bael's eyes moved from Shin's back and landed on his robotic arm. On a normal day the robotic arm would be obsidian black, but in that moment it was glowing scarlet red.
It gave of a feint steam as it seared Shin's flesh. Bael followed the artificial blood vessels that were glowing until he reached the robotic heart.
What in the actual fuck?? You're a walking lightning rod.
The robotic heart rose and fell as Shin took in short hollow breaths.
"Shin," Bael finally managed to call out.
