"WAIT! WAIT! WAIT! PLEASE! PLEASE!" Asmodeus screamed as Damien grabbed him by the hair and smashed his face into the ground. Lilith cowered in fear beside him. "PLEASE DON'T KILL US!"
"Oh? Now we are begging?" Damien smashed Asmodeus's face into the ground again. "You little shits try to kill me? Seduce me? All that shit this bastard said?" He lifted the demon's head and slammed it down once more. "And then you DARE tell me to let you live?"
"WE HAD NO CHOICE! PLEASE!" Asmodeus's face was swelling, blood streaming from his nose and mouth. "We were told to stall you as much as we could! To waste your time!"
"Yes! Yes!" Lilith scrambled to Damien's feet, clutching at his legs. "I did not want to do it! But he said he would kill us!"
Damien's eyes narrowed. "Who?"
"The King!" Lilith's voice was desperate. "It is always the King! We have to do everything he says or we die! We are so sorry! Me and Asmodeus are the weakest of the sins. All we do is drown in pleasure, yet even still we are forced to serve and attack enemies of the King!" Tears streamed down her face. "Please forgive us! We are nothing but tools, used by the King!"
Damien still had Asmodeus pinned to the ground. The demon crawled, begging for himself too.
"Is that so?" Damien smiled. "So you are innocent victims, eh?"
He looked at them both.
"Fine. I believe you." His smile widened. "However... I have to kill one of you. So which of you will sacrifice himself for the other?"
They looked at each other.
Then Lilith spoke. "It has to be him, dear lord! He is the one who taunted you! All I did was ask for sex with you. I even wanted to be dominated by you. I still do, my lord!" She grabbed his leg tighter. "Please! Kill him and let me live!"
"WHAT!" Asmodeus's voice cracked. "It was YOUR IDEA to seduce him, you bitch! You told me to taunt him and that would make him mad!" He turned to Damien. "Master, please! Kill her and have me! I can satisfy you! Please! I want to be dominated too!"
"YOU LIAR!" Lilith shrieked. "You wanted to use aphrodisiacs to make him serve us! To have us fuck him both! You wanted to POISON THE LORD!"
"YOU BITCH! YOU JUST LIED TO HIM NOW! You said the King forced us! YOU did it because you love the King's cock!"
"YOU LOVE IT TOO, YOU LIAR!"
They continued screaming at each other, their desperate accusations filling the chamber.
Damien watched them with a grin.
Then they realized what they had done.
Their eyes went wide. Their mouths stopped moving.
"I guess I got my answer," Damien said.
Two slashes. Both daggers moved at once.
He ripped both their heads off and watched them roll across the ground.
He stepped over their bodies and walked forward, ignoring the corpses. He emerged from the broken chamber onto a hill, looking down at a massive structure below.
Five castles.
They were arranged in a pentagram-like shape—one at each end, and one massive structure in the center. Just one look, and he could sense the battles raging inside each of them.
"So that is how it is, eh?" Damien studied the layout. "These idiots were tasked with wasting my time, while everyone fought inside each castle."
He scanned the castles, trying to sense which ones needed him most.
"Let us see... which ones need my help the most."
....
The chamber of the red castle was a maelstrom of fire and shadow.
Moloch charged again, his body wreathed in flames, his fists swinging wildly. Tiona met him head-on, her blades Urga flashing as she deflected his strikes and carved deep gashes into his flaming flesh. He roared—a sound of pure, explosive rage—and swung a massive fist toward her skull.
She ducked under it, spun, and drove her blade into his side.
Tione came from the left, her kukri Zolas finding the gaps in his defenses, slicing tendons, opening wounds. Moloch thrashed, his movements becoming more erratic, more desperate.
He was not a skilled fighter. He was pure, unfiltered fury given form. And fury, no matter how powerful, could be exploited.
But every time they pushed him close to death, Baal struck.
A bolt of dark magic shot from the shadows, forcing Tione to dodge. Another followed, aimed at Tiona's exposed back. Ais intercepted it with a sweep of Desperate, the wind from her blade deflecting the attack.
Ais's golden eyes tracked the shadows, seeking the source.
Baal was hidden somewhere in the darkness, his cold wrath manifesting in precise, calculated strikes. He did not engage directly. He waited. Watched. Struck when the opening appeared.
It was working.
"Tiona! Tione!" Ais called out. "I have an idea!"
She stepped back, her blade lowering.
Tiona's eyes widened. "Ais? What are you doing?"
"Keep pressing Moloch," Ais said calmly. "I will handle Baal."
Tione glanced at her sister, then nodded. "You heard her. Let us finish this."
The two Amazon sisters turned their full attention to Moloch.
Tiona launched herself at the flaming demon, her Ariel Maneuver carrying her in a wild, unpredictable arc. She bounced off a wall, then a pillar, then the ceiling, each rebound bringing her closer to Moloch's head. Her blades carved deep wounds across his face, his shoulders, his chest.
Tione moved beneath her, her Zolas targeting his legs, his knees, his ankles. She severed tendons, shattered bone, reduced his mobility to nothing.
Moloch screamed. He swung wildly, blindly, unable to track either of them.
Baal saw the danger.
His magic began to gather.
Ais watched. She had stopped attacking, stopped moving. She was simply watching Baal, her golden eyes fixed on the darkness where he hid.
She did not look away.
'He can either attack or teleport, she realized. He cannot do both at the same time.'
Baal's magic reached its peak. He fired a bolt toward Tione's exposed back—
Ais moved.
She crossed the distance in an instant, her Ariel carrying her faster than sound. Desperate drove toward Baal's neck.
He teleported.
But not fast enough.
The tip of her blade caught his throat, opening a deep gash. Black ichor sprayed across the floor. Baal reappeared across the room, one hand clutching his neck, his cold eyes finally showing something—surprise.
"Got you," Ais said quietly.
She turned to Tiona and Tione. "Expand. Attack him wherever he appears."
The sisters understood.
Tiona and Tione abandoned their assault on Moloch. The flaming demon collapsed, his legs no longer able to support him, his body ravaged by wounds. He was finished.
The three women spread out across the chamber, forming a triangle.
Baal teleported. Ais was there, her blade carving through the space where he appeared. He teleported again. Tione met him, her Zolas slashing across his chest. Again. Tiona was waiting, her blades driving toward his skull.
He could not keep up.
Fast as he was, they were faster together. They had seen his pattern. They had learned his rhythm. Every teleport was met with steel.
The final teleport brought him to the center of the room. He materialized, desperate, his hands already forming magic.
Tiona was there.
Her blade drove through his skull, emerging from the back of his head.
Baal's eyes went wide. Then they went empty.
He collapsed.
Tiona pulled her blade free and looked at the body. "One down."
Tione knelt beside Moloch and slit his throat. "Two down."
Ais lowered her sword, her golden eyes still scanning the room. She gave a small nod.
"Good work."
Tiona grinned. "That was fun!"
Tione sighed. "You have a strange definition of fun."
Ais allowed herself a small smile. "Let us find the others."
