Watching Louis Lawrence's smile, Bella Green was momentarily distracted.
This was the first time she had seen Louis smile like this, and after the initial astonishment, she felt curious.
This side of Louis was something she had never seen before.
After a moment, she snapped out of her reverie and pressed on.
"Spill it now."
Louis lazily leaned against the tree trunk, a smirk on his lips and a hint of mischief in his eyes.
"Spill what?"
His slightly rogue demeanor made Bella realize she might be getting played.
She gritted her teeth and said fiercely.
"You said as long as I called you brother, you'd tell me what was really going on."
Louis feigned surprise, then looked at Bella with a curious expression.
"I was just saying stuff randomly, why do you take everything so seriously?"
Bella nearly choked out of annoyance; this guy was actually messing with her!
Fuming, Bella lifted her foot and stomped hard on Louis's foot.
